You big loser you!!! What an amazement you are, Amber!!!
I laughed at what you posted about wanting to get through the 30s fast on the way down because they were fast on the way up. LOL!! Getting in the 230s is HUGE for me. I have lived in the 240s for so long now that breaking through is going to be a happy dance day for me! Hopefully in the next few days! Of course today is an UD......... |

The last three days have not been the best. Started with a DD that turned into an UD and just got worse. Yesterday I had some macaroni and cheese and today I had a pretzel and yogurt covered raisin off my sons plate. I don't even like these things. Scale has been bouncing around. I think I'm sabotaging myself and getting too relaxed after seeing such an exciting new low.
I'm recommitting and having an amazing DD tomorrow. I can do it! |

Done eating for today. Had an Atkins bar (160) and bowl of soup (300) = 460 cals. I so badly want to have a handful of cashews but am stopping myself. I'm not hungry but get mentally snacky when I put my guard down. Gotta get strict again.

Juno - It's nice when we can relate to each other's struggles. Thanks for stopping in to my journal.
Gracie - it's going well. I did good yesterday. I may have gone a touch over my 500 calories since I mindlessly added cheese to my soup without considering that my calories were already close to 500 for the day. The scale did not move down today - still at 240 - so I blame TOM. I have a terrible headache today and wonder if I knocked myself out of ketosis over the weekend. I must have. I'm hoping that I'll be safely back in the ketosis wonderfulness by tomorrow or Wed. And I hope that the scale starts to move down again before the weekend. I go out of town in less than 2 weeks and I really, really want the scale to be more firmly in the 30s by then. Mid-30s would be nice. Today's menu: eggs, LC tortilla, cheese, chicken, atkins bar, breve latte, bunlessburger, salad, etc. Lots of random stuff. |

I love that soup!!!! And I love that you are real, Amber. You take sidesteps that we all take, you own it and move on. I just can't tell you enough how much that inspires me.

Thanks Laura. I'm trying REALLY really hard to own up to my mishaps and choices and to not let it derail me this time. I have never gotten to goal and I know it's because of denying my bad choices and ignoring the scale. I'm trying to break the habit once and for all and to see goal at some point in my 30s.
Sooooooo....the scale went back to 238 (siggy) weight this morning. I was so happy that I tried on the pants I tried on just a week ago to see if there was any difference even though the scale hasn't moved. One pair fits that didn't last week. My jeans yesterday were falling off so I'm happy the smaller jeans fit. I've decided I won't wear them until my trip next week. Want to keep them "new" again - haha. They are like 6 years old but new to me now. It's a DD so I'm hopeful that tomorrow will show a loss on the scale and allow me to welcome in a 40 pound loss. Also, for my trip, I'll be gone 5 days and staying with people who don't low carb or diet at all. One day we'll be celebrating a birthday. I'm sure there will be other "special things" going on too. I've decided I need to call this weekend to put in food requests so that I can stay on plan the entire time except for maybe one small treat. I am sooooo nervous about the conversation and wish I could avoid it, but I know if I do, I'll just gain like 10 pounds and have to relose it all when I return. If this is a lifestyle change, I guess I need to speak up and protect my choices. |

Gracie -
Thanks. I need to call this weekend so that the host has time to maybe tweak things for me. I plan to bring protein bars and LC tortillas so that I can have stuff and modify things easier if needed. So this morning I saw 237!!!!!!!!! 40 pounds gone forever!! I'm more than 1/2 way to my goal of onderland now. I'm down 40 and have 38 to go!! Seems so doable. ![]() |

Friend! Tell me how it feels to be in the 230s? I have forgotten what it was like in that magical land!!
So proud of you for kicking those pounds in the booty! And thanks for stopping by my little, teeny, tiny journal! You've almost visited as many times as I've posted! |

Laura - haha..I think so.
Gracie - Thanks! I went to the mall and bought a new top. I wanted shoes too but they didn't have anything I really wanted. I plan to get a pedi this weekend. It feels so good to be at such a big number. 40 just sounds like an impressive amount. haha Andrea - Thanks!! I feel proud of myself today. Each one of these big milestones seems like such a celebration. |

Oh I CAN sooooo relate! I feel about the 40s the way you feel about the 30s. Didn't take much time at all to move UP through them so I'm ready to move just as quickly DOWN through them!!

Aww, I'm glad!!! You are one of mine too!!!
![]() I'm afraid that the french dressing on my salad tonight and the light breading on the chic fil a nuggets might mess me up. Plus I was out and about and didn't drink as much water as I would like. Last edited by Happy2be; 04-19-2012 at 10:23 PM.. |

I'm thinking of temporarily trying JUDDD (low carb version) to see if it helps speed up the loss. I'm not sure if it would be the best thing for my diabetes, though. I suppose a week of trying it wouldn't hurt too much, and I could always go back to my normal eating if I feel like my BG suffers...

After a few days with too many carbs and not strict DDs, I weighed in at 236 today. So no real movement good or bad. I guess that's good. I want to see 235 or lower by Thursday when I head out of town.

Woosh fairy visited. Saw 233 yesterday!! I'm officially out of town so may not check in much for a few days. Day one of eating is a success. I'm trying to stay with juddd but not be as crazy with calories. Just good lc choices and higher and lower days. I just don't want to gain...
