Ditto Gracie, once again.
She's pretty good with this stuff. But yes, keep out the carbs for the most part. They trigger hunger and cravings more than LC stuff. Your up day number is pretty high and when you start eating it, you'll notice as the days cycle by that some days its hard to even get to that number. For me, I'm really hungry at the end of my DD. I remind myself that I can eat almost anything the next day and to hold off. Then when I wake up on some UP days, I'm not hungry. Your stomach shrinks and the next day, you'll find that less food satisfies you than before. And you'll find some days that you need to add an extra snack to hit 2000 calories. Of course, some days I do feel super hungry and bingy, but my stomach is so much smaller that a binge now might be 2 servings of almonds. I just track those 390 calories or so and move on. Now I know exactly how many calories are in the things I eat and mentally track most days. Fasting is perfectly fine for DD. Some people fast and then eat 500 calories worth of food for dinner to get a full belly at one point in the day. I like to eat lunch and nothing else. |

Yesterday I didn't eat a single thing other than posted above. I got hungry around 5pm but then it faded away and I went to bed fine. Right now, I'm still not hungry and I can eat. It's a nice feeling. I'm going to go brew some coffee and have some sliced turkey, cheese, and mayo. |

I know I shouldn't post excuses in my journal, and I know that this is a total excuse, but I have a lot of things changing in my world right now. I was handling the stress fine until a family member that we hadn't seen in over six years came to visit. His visit just pushed me over the edge emotionally. It's day three and he leaves tomorrow morning. I let all of this allow me to overeat and eat carbs.
I'm shaking it off and really look forward to being back on track tomorrow. I'm ready to be in the 30s. I was soooooo close... I think I'm going to start exercising this week. |

I am back on track today. Didn't weigh but will tomorrow. Only ate a cheeseburger today plus water and diet coke. Tomorrow is an UD. I'm hoping to be back to siggy by next weekend - Easter. Then downward. |

I'm sure the carbs refilled your glycogen stores and hence the big weight gain. I didn't do low-carb JUDDD, maybe that's why it was more forgiving. Hey Amber, you are going to power off those pounds in no time and like everyone else, it isn't FAT!
And the family member thing, that's life. It happens to all of us. But what you have done is just picked up and started again. I cannot master that. When I screw up (and I know it's coming) I just keep on screwing up for a long time. If I can figure out mentally how to just start over, I'd be golden. Maybe one day. |

![]() Laura - starting fresh after a mistake was the one thing I've mentally worked on this year. I promised myself that I'd keep immediately restarting. I want to get to goal and to onderland this year. I also realized that this is a wol for me or else I'll just keep regaining my lost weight. I think accepting that fact has helped immensely. Have you considered starting a journal? So weight went to 242 today. Only 1 away from last weeks low now. ![]() |

This is the best number I've seen yet for many reasons!! I hope the 30s are a nice, fast decade to go through. I went through them on my way up in weight fairly fast, so things need to be fair!! Today is an up eating day so I get to semi-celebrate the new low with lots of yummy food that I couldn't eat yesterday. Yesterday's DD menu was: atkins p'nut butter cups, diet coke, four bites of bbq pork, and a LC bryers icecream bar. Today's menu will likely be: B: 2 fried eggs inside a LC tortilla with pepperjack cheese and ketchup L: bunless burger or huge salad - not sure yet D: hamburger spinach bake from Linda Sue's site w/ green beans S: LC icecream |

![]() 239 again today even after a nice UP day. Ended up eating what was posted above except having 2 LC icecream bars, a handful of cashews, and a JJ unwich instead of my posted lunch. I calculated it to be between 2000-2200 calories. Today is a DD. I'm hopeful to see 238 tomorrow. I'm only 2 away from being down 40. My goal for the end of April was to be in the 30s and I am just so excited that I'm here. Now I'm thinking it will be nice to be on the lower end of the 30s by the end of the month. |
