Friday's "cheat" day ended with champagne at midnight. I woke up and weighed but squinted at the scale Saturday morning and think it bounced up 4 pounds. I was immediately back on plan Saturday. It was a 500 cal down day. I have to admit, it was HARD being good Saturday. I wanted to just say forget it and eat badly since I was already up and since it was the weekend. I'm so all or nothing and since it was already bad, I wanted to be EXTRA bad. I didn't. Somehow I managed to get right back on track. I'm so thankful for the resolve I found deep inside of me this weekend.

Sunday I woke up at 251 - up 2 from Friday. Better but still discouraging. It was an UP cal day and I was right around 2200. We had dinner at carrabas and I avoided the bread and oil. I wanted it BADLY. I treated myself that night to a LC icecream bar. It helped my mind settle and get off the fixation on eating carbs/drinking milk. I knew I was close to ketosis again and desperately wanted to get back to it. Me not being in ketosis is a BAD thing for my mental state.

Today, Monday, I woke up at 252 - up 3 from Friday. TOM is still here. I figure this week should knock those 3 out and then I can start into new territory on the scale next week. I'm hoping that is the case at least. I think I'm back in ketosis already and I'm feeling MUCH better.

Today is a DD. Having coffee w/ h&h and liquid splenda (40 cals); atkins bar (160 cals); and chicken w/ tomatoes and cheese (300 cals) = 500 cals.

Down one pound - 251. I'm still up 2 from Friday. Giving myself until Saturday to lose it. Not that I can really control it but I'm telling myself that I have until Saturday before I worry about it. One day off plan = one week of wasted time. I need to remember this.

Scale went down another pound - 250. Almost back to 249.

Today is a DD and I plan on having coffee w/ h&h and splenda, an atkins bar, and some stirfry I made with a bunch of veggies, broth, and soy sauce. Not sure if it will taste good but a HUGE container was only 100 cals and 15 net carbs. I figure if nothing else, it should be filling.

247!!!!! 3 weeks on juddd and down 10 total, but more importantly, I'm down 30 total!! My husband cooked me a filet mignon for dinner to celebrate. It was amazing.

Katy - yes, I'm super happy on this woe. It doesn't even bother me to do down days anymore. I just plan fun stuff around my up days.

Thanks ladies!! I thought the scale would bounce up this morning since I had a lot of steak and the seasoning was salty, but it held steady. Today I had quiche and lots of coffee with cream.

Vilya - I'd love to catch you and weigh 218! holy moly that would feel amazing. I agree that we'll both see onederland this year.

My focus is now on the 230s. I have not been there in at least 5 years. Maybe 8. Sad. Every time I stop around this weight. In 2009, I got pregnant so that's the last good excuse I've had for going off track.

245!!!! Not sure how or why that happened, but I lost 2 pounds last night. I'll happily take it and claim it. 20 pounds away from Goal #2. Only 6 pounds away from the 230s!!

Today is an UP eating day. I get to eat, hahaha!!

B: coffee w/ cream (lots of both); quiche
L: chicken salad salad
S: almonds
D: turkey, cheese, tomato, lettuce, rolled up on LC tortilla w/ mayo
S: if needed, atkins bar or carbsmart bar

I think I'll be over my calories today so I don't think I can have the icecream tonight. I'm not sure how to track the chicken salad calories... Might need to figure it out.

Thanks ladies!!

Weight stayed the same today at 245. That shocked me as much as seeing the number yesterday to be honest. I figured it was a fluke and would bounce right back up but nope, it stuck.

I didn't have dessert last night. I calculated my calories to be roughly 2300 with the chicken salad salad being 1000 of those calories. I had a hard time calculating it but used a bunch of different sites and saw that a cup of it ranges from 500-700. I went with 700 since this one is very mayo heavy and also has cashews in it. Then I figured 100 calories in veggies (tomatoes, peppers, onions, lettuce, etc.). Then I figured 200 calories in an oil based dressing that I used a heavy dose of. So I either overestimated or underestimated but have no idea.

Today is a down day and I'm feeling great so far. Decided to treat myself to real cream in my coffee on this DD and am enjoying every sip. Also going to have a quest bar. Might not have anything else today depending on how I feel.

Okay, yesterday ended up being a tough down day. I was hungry at work so had some almonds, which put me right at 500 calories. I then got home and cooked dinner and had to taste, retaste, and re-retaste it again. It was a LS spinach hamburger dish so perfectly low carb and fine, but probably added another 300 calories onto my day. So maybe I ended at 800?

As a result, the scale stayed the same again today. 245. I'm still thrilled with this since it went down 2 pounds overnight the other day, so how could I complain??, but I really want to see a new lower number. I'm getting spoiled!!

Today is an up day and I'm having:
b: coffee w/ cream; lc tortilla w/ salami, cheese, turkey, and mayo
s: atkins bar
l: fajitas w/o wraps or mexican salad w/ guac, sour cream, and salsa
d: spinach/hamburger dish I made last night w/ green beans

I'm going to try to up the water since I feel bloated and barely had any yesterday.

Ugh, I feel TERRIBLE today. Not sick but my stomach is doing flips and bloated. I was up a pound today. What a fun day. I started with coffee and h&h but switched to water b/c of all the stomach gurgling and fun stuff happening. I haven't eaten yet today and am not sure if it will make me feel better or worse. Ugh.

I put on my slightly bigger pants even though I have been able to wear my smaller stuff as of last week since my stomach feels so bloated.

Hi Amber! Just stopping by to see how you're doing. Hope you tummy is better today. There's an awful stomach flu going around here - there have been many families hit by it. It takes out the entire family!!! You are doing fantastic on JUDDD and I see you are doing it LC - Way to go!!! Keep trucking along, you're only "dieting" every other day and look at your awesome progress!

Katy - google the diet and on that website there is a tab that says how it works and has a calculator to determine your numbers. For the first two weeks, you can eat 500 cals on your DD and up to the calculated up day number. Mine was 2300 but I lowered it to 2000-2200 since that seemed better to me. After the two weeks, you drop your DD number to the calc number. I have yet to do that. I can't get below 500. Let me know if you have questions about it.

Tomorrow will be one month on juddd and so far I'm down 14 pounds this month. To me this is amazing. It's almost the same as my first month lc numbers and I shouldn't have had water bloat this time to lose.

I am 460 for DD and 2299 for UD. I take it you can normally eat whatever but you are doing a LC version? That is what I would do too. Hmmmm.....may jump into this on Monday

How'd you get 2299? Are you putting in exercise? I think it's recommended to do little/no exercise. I only got like 2300 and weigh a lot more than you. Did you up it for breastfeeding? Your down number sounds correct. And yes, you can eat whatever. The forum here for JUDDD is good but most of them eat and post about eating carby stuff. You have to ignore those posts when you do LC. I just kept doing LC - under 20 carbs per day is my goal. I'm not on induction levels though since I do eat nuts, LC tortillas, and probably too many atkins products.

Today the scale moved to 242. Amazing. I'm down 35 pounds!!!

I get to eat today so here's my menu:
B: LC wrap with mayo, turkey, lettuce, tomato, and red onion; coffee w/ cream
L: coney island hot dog pie
D: eggs and sausage
S: LC icecream or atkins bar
S: almonds
---
2000 cals

I put in light exercise 1-3 days a week since I do massage twice a week; plus what I do taking care of the kids and breastfeeding. When I change it to little-no exercise I get 401-2006. What do you think I should go with?

Katy, just my opinion, but I would go with 500 for a DD and 2000 for UD for your 2 week induction. I never go below 500. See how you do with those numbers and if you are still hungry because of BF'ing, increase as needed. I think you'll love JUDDD!

Katy - I'd ditto Gracie. Go with 500/2000 at first and see how you do. It seems that many people reduce their UD number by just a touch to begin with and use "little/no exercise" so if you go with the numbers given and don't reduce, you may be just fine. After the first 2 weeks, you can keep to those numbers or reduce to 400/2000. I haven't reduced my numbers yet. I can't get below 500 without going nuts.

Gracie - thanks.

So I bounced to 243 after an amazing UD yesterday. I had tons of food - coney island pie, 2 LC wraps with turkey and cheese and mayo and veggies, LC icecream, coffee with cream, etc. I'm super happy with only a 1 pound bounce. It gives me hope that I'm really getting close to the 230s. Eeek!! I'm excited for that day. It will be the most exciting WL milestone so far for me. I haven't been there in at least 6 years.

I pulled out some 18s from Old Navy and tried them on. They are button-able but not wearable. I say I need at least a good inch off my stomach before I can wear them nicely. So hopefully in a few more weeks they'll be in my clothes rotation. Today I'm wearing a comfy pair of 20s from Gap. I've retired my Lane Bryant 26s!!! So AWESOME!

Hi Amber,

I followed you over here from the JUDDD board. You have done so flipping well! I totally hear you when you say you want to get to the 230s. I've been fighting to get back there myself. At this time a year ago I was weighing about 198. I keep asking myself how I let this happen. But hopefully I'm back on track and and want VERY much to get under 200 again.

Well just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the inspiration and since our numbers are so close it is really motivating me to keep going as you have done.

Laura - Thanks for coming here and posting. I definitely relate to you. Last year I worked so hard and went from 277 to 242-ish (I can't remember the exact number). I then maintained for a few weeks and then started eating again. Why? I have no clue. I gained it all back. I feel like this year's success so far has been just an exercise of frustration to get right back to where I was last year. So now I'm there and on the cusp of real downward movement towards my goal. The last time I weighed in the 100s it was 2003. We'll both be there this year and hopefully in only a few short months!! My goal is to see onederland by the first week of Sept. I think it's very possible.

So the scale is at 243 again today after an UP day. Yesterday it was 242 again. So I'm bouncing these last 3 days. I'm excited and hopeful to see a lower number tomorrow. My plan is to drink A LOT of water. It's nice though that I'm seeing consistent low-240s. I'm just over them already! haha

Today's menu:
B: nada
L: coffee w/ cream; atkins bar
D: nada

That is roughly 300 calories. If needed, I plan to eat some almonds. I don't think I'll need them though. My stomach is very quiet today and I feel very at peace with no food today. I think JUDDD can be very calming to me for some reason.

I am still considering JUDDD, I'm just scared it's going to trigger me pigging out on my UP days. Do you log everything into ******? I think for my DD I would probably have to do just coffee and cream. I think it would be easier for me mentally to just not eat on the DD. I can see how it would be calming, the hcg diet had that effect on me too. I also think JUDDD would be a good "test" for me to see if I'm ready for hcg again. If I can stick with it (JUDDD) for a month or so, maybe I would be able to do an hcg round.
