It will come Amber, keep doing what you're doing, you know your body is changing even if the scale isn't!

Okay, so last week I did 1.5 days of meat/egg fasting and then went back to regular LC. I couldn't keep going. I was missing cream, cheese, veggies WAY too much. So that attempt was a flop and resulted in zero scale movement. Then I started reading about JUDDD and thought, "what can it hurt??"

I imputed my numbers and saw that I get roughly 2200 calories on up days (seemed like a ton) and under 500 on down days. I committed to it for a week and decided to start on Saturday on a down-day.

Surprisingly, it wasn't difficult to stay under 500 calories. On Sunday morning, I was back to siggy weight (257) after being up 2 pounds since the chicken pot pie on Tuesday. I considered that a victory just to get me back to siggy weight. Then I had my up-day yesterday and strangely had a hard time sticking to 2200 calories. I wanted to eat WAY more. It was interestingly to count calories since I think it means I must normally eat more than 2200 calories and maybe overeating is the cause for the scale stall...

Today, I saw new territory - 256!! Who knows if JUDDD is to blame (or celebrate) for these numbers, but I don't care. I'm so happy that I got back to siggy weight and then down one more. I just hope it now continues.

So today is a down day and I'm strangely excited about it. I'm just hoping the 256 sticks and that I can stick with JUDDD for at least 1 week, which is my first goal to see how this works for at least one week.

Woo hoo!!! Down another pound!!!! That means I've lost the 2 "old" pounds I regained on the scale plus 2 "new" pounds since Saturday!! I've been stalled out since FOREVER it feels like and this was exactly what I needed to see on the scale. So happy for trying something new in addition to LC.

Today is an UP calorie day so I get to eat and I plan on eating. Coney Island pie, cream cheese muffins, and an atkins bar are on the menu - all things I was craving yesterday.

Vilya - You could do it, but with your weight loss, I don't know that I'd change anything. You're doing so excellent and really fitting it into your lifestyle. I just needed a change - I was getting too frustrated with no losses on the scale.

After an UP day, I'm down another pound!! I'm pretty impressed with myself at this point!!

And seriously, I may have overeaten yesterday. I calculated my day exactly at 2200 calories but then had a second serving of almonds and an extra cream cheese muffin - 400 or so calories. But I did skip my cesear salad, which was about 300 calories. So maybe I went over by 100 calories?

Today is a down day - 500 or less. My calculations put me at 450 for my planned day. I'm eating coffee w/ half and half and splenda (40 cals); cabbage mixed with laughing cow cheese and chicken (250); and an atkins bar (160).

My second month of LC ends this Sat so I have 3 more WIs until I total the weight for month 2, but so far I'm at 6 pounds gone for month 2. My goal was 10 but I'd be super happy with 8. So I'm hoping for 2 more pounds to leave by Sat. to see 8 gone. If I hadn't started JUDDD, I probably would have said 2-3 for the month so either way this is a positive thing.

This morning, after a down day, I'm down another pound!! 253! Today is an up day so I get to EAT.

I'm 4 pounds away from mini-goal #1 of 249 pounds now. This goal is significant for three reasons. 1) It's roughly 1/3 of the way to onderland. 2) It puts me closer to the 100s than the 300s. 3) It means I'll have lost 10 percent of my body weight. So these three huge reasons are going to be my main thought and drive towards 249!! I'm hopeful that I'll see it by mid-March, or two weeks from today.

Today's menu:
B: coffee w/ real cream; 2 cream cheese muffins (400 cals)
L: coney island pie (550 cals)
S: almonds (200 cals)
D: coney island pie (700 cals)
S: if needed, atkins bar (200 cals)
-------
Total: 2,050 cals - Goal is 2,000-2,200

Thanks ladies!!

So yesterday was an UP day. I only got to 2000 calories out of the 2200, although I really only care to hit 2000 so it was a win there. But I felt SOOOOOOO full. In fact, I still feel full. It's amazing how quickly our stomachs can shrink when we restrict our diets every other day. It makes me feel like eating something of a big portion is really endulgent whereas before I could have just continued eating.

JUDDD stresses the scale bounces and says not to weigh after an up day to avoid seeing the bounce on the scale. I'm a daily weigher so I weigh daily (haha) and keep waiting for the bounce. Each morning so far it has bounced but it's been DOWN. I'm still amazed how it's working so well so far for me. I was seriously stalled on the scale and have since lost every.single.day. Amazing.

Today's weight was 252!!! That means I've officially lost 25 pounds!!!!!

Today is my 2 month lc anniversary!

Month 1: 17 pounds
Month 2: 9 pounds
------------
Total: 26 pounds

Feb was a crazy month with lots of slow losses and stalls so I'm so happy I added in juddd on top of lc. This past week alone I lost 6 new pounds.

I'm still on track for onderland by September so that is also great. Goal for the next month is 10 but would be happy with 5+.

Meg - Thanks!! You could totally do a DD. I didn't think I could either and the first one was hard but after that, I've been surprisingly full and satisfied on them. Now up days are strangely hard sometimes - 2200 cals seems like so much.

So................ Goal #1 Achieved today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooshed down 2 pounds to 249!!!! I'm officially down 28 pounds! On top of that, it's 10 percent of my body weight Gone, which puts me closer to onderland than 300-ville. I'm only looking at 50 now until onderland. I'm so excited today!!!!

Oh, and on top of it all, I get to eat today since it's an up day!

Me too, Katy!!

Okay, so today I woke up with a terrible head cold/congestion. I can barely breathe through my nose. I'm also really bloated and feel about 20 pounds heavier - TOM is right around the corner. Needless to say, my low of 249 didn't stick today. I'm not going to adjust the number up since I never do, but I'm still sad that it bounced back to the 250s. Boo! Hopefully this is a temporary stop here and I'll be cruising through the 240s shortly.

Goal for today is to drink LOTS of fluids. Mostly water but some crystal light and maybe some green tea if I want. I'm sipping coffee w/ h&h right now. Today is a down day and I plan to have a slice of pumpkin bake (250 cals) and an atkins bar today (160). That and my coffee puts me right around 450 and my goal for the day.

There are lots of treats in the office today and I think that is the one blessing of being sick - I cannot smell any of it!!

I'm so sick today. I ended up waking up a few times last night to blow my nose and cough and try to get comfortable. I had to take medicine today so now I feel a little cloudy but slightly better because of it. I have no idea if being sick causes water retention but it sure feels like it - I feel like my head has 10 extra pounds of fluid in it. And my stomach feels extended with pre-TOM. I'm ready to feel better STAT.

Today the scale bounced right back to 249. I have an UP day today and get to eat a lot so I expect it to bounce right back into the 250s tomorrow. Honestly, after losing 8 pounds last week, I really can't expect and don't expect any real scale movement for at least a week at this point to let my body catch up. I'm assuming this is like post-induction where things settle for a moment and restart. We'll see...

B: coffee w/ cream; flax muffin
L: coney island pie
S: quest bar; almonds
D: coney island pie
S: quest bar

Thanks Meg & Katy! I am still unfortunately sick today.

So here are my last 5 weights with JUDDD to illustrate the scale bounce.

3/4: 252
3/5: 249
3/6: 251
3/7: 249
3/8: 250

It really highlights how the scale moves up after an UP day and then down after a down day. Since it is down 2 pounds today, even after an UP day, from where it was 5 days ago, that is good. Now with today being a down day, I should see a lower number tomorrow - maybe even less than 249?

TOM started today. He was a few days late and even though I'm happy he's here and getting over with, I'm also extra bloated and annoyed.

I had a great DD yesterday and since I was 250 yesterday, I thought I'd see a new low today. Nope - stayed 249. I blame TOM.

Today is my planned carb cheat day. I'll be working until like 2am today and it's an annual food fest in all our offices. I knew I'd take today off when I started 2 months ago so while I feel semi-bad about it, I also don't since I haven't cheated really this whole time. I'm proud of myself and I know I'll be right back to my LC DD tomorrow. I'm sure it will be hard since I'll be out of ketosis but I'll survive.

I've found that I can't really "cheat" anymore, because carbs and sugar make me physically sick now. I ate a few bites of cake a while back and immediately felt like throwing up. Then I got really sleepy. LOL

Don't get me wrong, there are times when I eat some carbs anyway!

Ugh Vilya, I so understand. My breakfast was carby and tasted great and didn't make me feel sick or anything. Lunch was moderate carb and I was fine (salad w/ beans and chips). Dessert made me feel ill. I thought I could throw up and had to sit and wait for my stomach to settle and now I feel exhausted. Granted it's 10pm, but still. I'm exhausted.

I'm 100 percent ready to sleep and wake up back on plan. I'm glad tomorrow is a DD for me since the thought of eating alone makes me feel bad so eating little to nothing and making it healthy and LC sounds perfect.
