Thanks Danielle and V.

I'm restarting atkins today. Day #1. I couldn't handle the freedom of JUDDD.

Today's plan:
B: atkins shake; coffee w/ cream
S: eggs w/ bacon and feta
L: turkey and string cheese
S: SF jello (if needed)
D: ceasar salad w/ grilled chicken on top

Menu looks good! I can't handle the freedom of JUDDD either, but I am hoping to be able to make that my lifetime maintenance plan once I get to goal!

I'd love to have something that flexible as a lifetime maintenance plan, but I question if that's even possible for me. I hope to go up the carb rungs and maybe figure out where that puts me for maintenance. If I can have oatmeal and/or rice and/or a slice of WW bread every other day even, or twice per week, I think I could live with that.

Yesterday got hectic at work and I didn't get home until late, so I skipped dinner. I'm trying to be more conscious of my true hunger and to also not eat after 7pm. I hope this prevents my calorie craziness I had last time I tried LC.

Today's planned menu is the same as yesterday.

I'm a touch headachy and TOM is here, so I'm not thrilled with any of it. But strangely, I'm not craving carbs. I feel satisfied with my choices and not sad over the things I can't have in the least. I feel like I got it out of my system in January.

I am curious as to what type of carbs I will be able to tolerate too. I love rice so that would be great but I'm not counting on it.

With JUDDD, rice seemed to trigger less cravings for me than other starches. I felt good with a portion of rice and some meat and veggies all mixed together. But when I added in bread or sugary desserts, I wanted way more.

Last night I got home late and baked chicken to eat on my salads and then made another big egg scramble. I swear I say "mmmmmmmmm" as I eat it. 3 eggs, 2 pieces of crumbled up crunchy bacon, and a sprinkle of feta is my new favorite combo. I ate a few extra slices of bacon on the side and had a big ice water. Afterwards, I had a SF jello with some whipped cream on top. I've never had SF jello with whipped cream before and it was heavenly. Esp. for only 30 calories. YUM!!

Today I packed more egg scramble, a big bowl of lettuce with a side of the baked chicken, feta, bacon, and dressing so I can make a big salad, and cheese sticks. I'm sipping on an atkins shake/coffee mix now.

You should make what I used to call jello fluff. You mix up the jello and put it in the fridge to set but you want to time it when it is a bit thicker but not fully set up. In another bowl, start whipping your cream and when it starts to get thick, stream the half-set jello in and whip until it's the consistency of mousse. SO good!

Ooooooooooooooooooo, I'm so trying that. How much whipping cream do you add to a small box of sf jello?

Hi Amber! My mom used to actually just whip the jello once it was set in the fridge. Just beat it with your mixer and then you can add whipped cream on top - so good!!! I guess mixing it puts air into and makes it like a mousse too.

Gracie's way sounds easier! I would just figure out how many servings you want the bowl to be and then decide how many calories you want that to be per serving and measure out the right amount of hwc. I don't think you can really mess it up.

These recipes sound so yummy! You could definitely divvy up the portions and put them in those "take alongs"? I think I found a new treat...never thought of using beaters! Cheaper than the prebought ones too!

Okay, so I love that we're all so excited about SF jello desserts. haha. I bought a 4 pack of SF jello and ate my second one last night. It was orange. A tiny bit of whipped cream on top and it was like a freakin creamsicle. Soooooo good. I loved it even more than the strawberry. I'm definitely going to buy and make my own and add the cream in while making it.

Today's menu:
B: shake w/ coffee
L: salad w/ baked chicken, feta, and ceasar dressing
S: coffee w/ cream; cheese
D: scrambled eggs and bacon - probably lots of bacon
S: maybe a SF jello w/ whipped cream

So I started a few days ago, checked the scale and it was up from 249, but TOM had started so I left my stats alone. They've come down each day, even though TOM is still here. So yay for LC.

Good morning Gracie and Amber! Any plans this weekend? I am going to focus on staying OP and going to clean/organize my bedroom. Austen is going to bed in his crib instead of the pack & play, so time to pack it up and get it out of here!

Hey girls. I love the chatter in my thread. It's nice to read something non-WL related.

Gracie - GL with the slimfast. I'm excited to see how that works for you and to see if you decide to do the rx hcg.

Katy - Awww, moving Austen to his room is an exciting moment!!! We're going on our V-day date tomorrow and I do plan on having carbs with that meal. Otherwise, I need to work some (maybe a few hours on Sunday) and clean the house. I need to organize the laundry room. We moved a few months ago and some parts of the house are still a mess....

B: coffee shake
S: coffee (in morning training)
L: salad w/ baked chicken
D: ?? Not sure. Maybe another salad with taco meat on top?

My planned cheat meal on Saturday turned into two cheat days. It was a busy, stressful weekend, and I ate accordingly. Well, Saturday evening was not stressful - it was really fun to have a date. But I drank mojitos, ate carby foods, and even had dessert. Oh well.

I shopped yesterday, cooked a bunch of stuff to prepare for the week, and feel great today. I'm SO happy that I started last week, even with the knowledge that I'd cheat right away. I think it put me in a better mental spot to get back on the wagon today.

I have not faced the scale, but will probably start daily weighing by Wed or Thurs.

B: coffee shake
S: cream cheese muffin
L: ceasar salad w/ pulled pork
S: cheese stick or cream cheese muffin (if needed)
D: bacon and eggs prob

Danielle - yeah, they are great!! I could live off of them.

So yesterday I placed a netrition order. Ordered: bbq sauce, sf french vanilla syrup, mocha drink mix, lc tortillas, pumpkorn, and something else but my mind is blanking. haha. I figured the syrup would be good in the cream cheese muffins and maybe replace both the vanilla extract and splenda to reduce the carbs in the recipe. I thought the mocha mix might be good in my coffee sometimes, for a treat. Oh, and bbq chicken has been calling my name.

Peaked at the scale and I'm UP from my weekend cheat-a-thon. I knew I would be but I still wish for a scale miracle. I'm going to allow myself to indulge in LC stuff today and tomorrow, and then starting on V-day, get stricter with my calories and intake. I need to reduce the dairy - I'm eating cream or cheese with every meal and snack. I'm ready to get out of the stinkin 240s.

Hi Gracie. I'm honestly feeling ho hum about this journal. I think I may start a fresh one on March 1st. I told myself that I am not weighing until then. I think part of the reason for some of my starts/restarts is that I get discouraged that I didn't suddenly lose 100 pounds overnight. So I told myself that I'd make the right choices for 2 solid weeks and then resume daily weighing. I might do a clean, fresh start to my journal then too.

But otherwise, I feel good. I restarted today - am making good choices. Feel in control. Really feel nice and motivated.

A fresh start sounds great! The scale sucks I've had days that the scale totally ruined - crazy isn't it? It's a stupid machine that displays a number that means how many lbs. of gravity keeps you on Earth

I feel the same about my journal, but I am always glad I have it when I need to look back on situations or get some motivation. Or, as of late, to realize how bad I've been spinning my wheels, LOL.

Exactly to what you both said.

It seems so dumb that the scale can have such power on us. I will be doing great, see some losses, and then get discouraged that they aren't more. WTH! What sense does that have that I then eat off plan and gain? None!!

Day 2 today. I feel good today. I'm so happy that I made chicken salad the other day. It's one of my favorite things to eat and I need to make it more often - chicken, mayo, and SF relish. Delish!!!!

I ended up eating a good amount of food (all LC) last night. I stress ate. I'm going to try to stop eating after 7 and be firm about that.
