Amber, you are amazing. Your have come so far and worked so hard. You are truly beautiful. It took me forever to read your journals but I have finally caught up. What a journey you have had. You are such an inspiration. I hope I come to love exercise as much as you. I have only just started and it is not my favorite thing yet.

I am a returning poster who had VGS in March of last year. I have been in a 5 month slump and I am officially the slowest loser my doc has. I feel as long as it is going down and now up I am a winner. However, I do have about 60-70 more lbs to lose. The nutritionalist says I am eating too many carbs, so here I am again.

I feel like I know you already, reading your journal. I look forward to really getting to know you.

Cathy - thanks, but I think you are writing on the wrong Amber's journal. The other Amber is a total rockstar, I agree.

So I've been like 50/50 with being on track. Was perfect but little things keep derailing me. Like yesterday, we had our walk through and it went late so we stopped for dinner and my steak was overcooked. Manager brought us a hot fudge brownie sundae. Really?? Had some. . Tomorrow I have lunch with a big wig at my company and the menu is very limited. I need to pull myself together. I think I need to weigh to force myself into reality.

It is so very hard to get back on track!!! I loathe getting back on track because it seems to always takes me a week or two to really get my head in the game. And hot fudge brownie sundae? OMG. I totally would've eaten it too! Brownies are my weakness! After I had T & C I would buy the ultimate fudge ones and eat a whole pan in a day! Nursing makes me crave sweets like nothing else, I guess they wanted chocolate milk, LOL!

Good luck tomorrow at your lunch, just do the best you can!!!!

Thats all you can do. Make the best choices and then get on with it. I'm dying to be in ketosis too. We will get there.

Hey ladies!

Wow, Mel!! 180s!? Amazing!

I'm here. Work is kicking my butt. Have been doing stuff at new house after work nightly. Last night we went to check painters work and lockup. Tonight we meet pool man. Between working late, getting ds, dinner/bath, traveling across town, house stuff, etc., we are exhausted and running late most nights. The big move is Tuesday and I'm beyond ready. Eating hasn't been great.

Okay, we moved last Tuesday. House is still 'in progress', but it's not too bad since we went from 1600 and now have 3200 sq feet. So even the boxes everywhere still isn't too bad since most of the rooms have sparse furniture. We are just taking it one box and thing at a time. Little things have been done, like clothes hung, pantry organized, toilet seats changed, etc, and some big things have been done, like paint, locks rekeyed, etc. Feels so amazing to be on this house and out of the temp apartment.

Okay, now on to the bad stuff - I'm fatter and only getting fatter still. I'm ready to put that behind me and get on program. Everyone here is doing great and I'm ready to do great too.

So tomorrow I restart. Ill check in every day. Goal is to be good this week, face the scale in a week, and dump the fat clothes in 2 weeks. I have been pulling the loose stuff for comfort and see now why getting it all out is really vital. So hopefully in 2 weeks I'll be less fat and the stuff that is too big is outta here. My goal is still onderland, but now it's onderland for the holidays.

See you all tomorrow.

Welcome back friend! I know where you are at this exact moment. I also know how awesome you are and have great faith in you! You got this!!! And I also know when you put your mind to it you are a weight loss machine!

Looking forward to watching you kick butt! You WILL be less fat in two weeks. I'm looking forward to my clothes not being so tight as a result of my refatting.

So glad you are back!

Refatting. This is a hilarious but totally sad and true term of art. I've refatted and now need to jump off that runaway train.

Katy - I'm so happy we're doing it together too. We've tried a million times, so this has to be it!!

Day one is going well. Granted I've yet to eat and only showered.

Thanks V! Look at you! Almost 100 pounds gone! Wow!!

Day one was good. Had a shake, burger w/ all the fixings and mayo, some nuts, protein bar, and lc ice-cream. I realize it was product heavy, but that's because I'm unprepared. I plan to grocery shop either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Thanks lady.

No time to post, but day two was a big success. I even exercised tonight. I'm already feeling better. Now I just need super glue to stick in this good place.

Day three done. Feeling a billion times better than I did on Sunday as I stuffed my face with ice-cream and bread. Low carb is such a fantastic plan.

Today's menu
B: nuts/diet coke
L: coffee w/ cream/ burgers
D: sausage pizza

Went grocery shopping after work.

Of course. It's from Melanie. Brown and drain sausage (I do Jimmy dean hot sausage). Place in baking dish, push down to form 'crust' of pizza. Top w/ lc pizza sauce, mozz cheese, pepperoni, toppings of choice. Brown in oven under broiler for like 2 min. Only negative for me is portion control. I can easily eat half this calorie bomb at once. It's a spoon-eat pizza bake really. Tastes like pizza though.

Starting day four. Sore throat.

Day four was good. Had a shake, salad, and pizza bake. Plus coffee, diet coke, and water. Pretty sick and miserable, but not gaining at least.

Read some about nutritional ketosis today. Pretty interesting. I'm not about to blood test my levels though. May try some higher fat days here if/when things slow.

Still sick. Came home early and resting while watching an episode of extreme makeover, weightloss. The guy is impressive. It's amazing what our bodies can do.

Day 5 is good. Plan to weigh on Sunday and reduce frankenfoods and cals on Monday. May restart juddd rotations eventually too.

Sorry you are sick. Hope you get to feelin better soon honey.

Have been reading more about nutritional ketosis too. Debating. Not sure I wanna spend the money to test stuff though... am looking at upping fat tho and seeing what happens..I do know for a fact that I tend to be up too high for protein and that is no bueno..

Have a great weekend!

I'm glad to see you posting again, Mel!! I missed you!

Being sick is the pits. Really wanted a peanut butter cracker or 17, but made spinach lasagna and enjoyed every bite. Sooooo good. Might go lay down and read on my kindle now. Dh is on his computer and ds is watching cartoons. I do not have the energy to play or clean. So rest it is.

Finally faced the scale after 6 solid days on plan. 234. Up 13. better than I feared, but prob means I gained almost 20 in 2 months off plan. I clearly have not even come close to learning moderation or maintenance. Hope to be back to sig in 3 weeks. Then I can work on hitting new lows. Goal for 2012 was 80 pounds total. It's still possible, but no more long cheating spells.

Yes, you're up by 13, BUT you faced the scale and caught it before it was even more.

Amber that is absolutely what you need to focus on! You caught it before it was more! Somehow I didn't stop til I had gained over 50! So trust me. You have done really well. Now you have your point of reference and off you go!

Amber, you've got this! Yes, being up sucks (as I well know) but you are back on plan and there is no reason to dwell on it! I am back here with ya now (yay!) and we will do this together, my friend! Are you feeling better?

V and Laura, thanks. The bloat and carb face made me feel like I had gained back all 55 pounds. I was really feeling awful and could feel myself getting fatter. I'm so grateful that I restarted before it got more outofhand.

Katy - so happy you restarted. Just read your journal and menu. Good work chica!

Starting week 2 on plan. Have a coffee protein shake concoction to try this morn, chicken breasts with grilled veggies, Mac nuts and diet coke, and chicken salad for dinner. Might grab some turkey rollups too in case the shake doesn't hold me.

233.5 today. 12 to go.
