Sorry hon, you will get there. My guess is that your body is just adjusting to the 13 lbs you just lost. It seems like you are doing everything right, just a little adjustment time needed. Hang in there and keep doing what you are doing and you will see a change in the scale soon.

I hope you don't get discouraged. I routinely do not lose for 3-4 weeks at a time, then will lose 4-5 lbs. Keep up the good work!

you all. Seriously, thanks everyone for caring.I doubt I'll post much this week, but I wanted to check in to update. First, I did fall/jump off plan. It was becoming so hard to stay good and see no result. Then I had a hard time getting back on due to stress. Dh got a promotion that increased his hours, we found a house and are under contract, and ds has surgery this week. We put the offer in last week, got bank stuff done, and have inspections this week. We leave thurs to go out of town for ds' surgery. I'm just eating a lot of my emotions right now. I know I need to stop, but it's so hard. I'm going to do my best to be good tomorrow. I really do not need carbs. |

I'm back. I need to read everyone's journal, mine included to catchup. I'm pretty sure I've been off track a solid 4-5 weeks. Awesome.
In this time, DH got a promotion which increased his hours, we put a contract in on a house, ds had surgery, and we had his post op last week. We just returned from out of town last night. I'm mentally exhausted and physically disgusted. Me being fatter isn't going to help me in any way. Ugh. I'm dusting myself off and refocusing.I'm on track, as of dinner, and tomorrow will be real day 1. I'll weigh this weekend to assess the damage. I'm doing regular low carb/Atkins. Once I weigh, I'm going to set new short term goals. 199 by sept 2nd is out of the question, but maybe I'll aim for my son's birthday, which is mid-November? |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sooooooooooooooooooooo happy to see you back! You have had a lot of life going on. Be sweet to yourself. One thing I've realized is that this is not going to be a linear journey for any of us. We will have our great on point times and our not so great "I left the reservation" times. But we keep coming back. That's what's important. I'm sure Dani will weigh in with some wonderful words. She always makes me feel better about everything in general. Remember - the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. No matter what the scale says when you weigh - it is your starting point. Nothing more and certainly that number doesn't dictate who YOU are! Congrats on your husband's promotion and new house! I can imagine as good as all that stuff is it's hugely stressful. Then add to that your son having surgery! Whew!

I agree with Laura, you have had a lot of stressors (good and bad) and you need to be kind to yourself. Reflect on how you could have done it differently, and then move on. No good will come from beating yourself up or dwelling on it. It's done and over and I am so happy you are back!!!!!!!!!!

Congrat's to dh's promotion and wow, a new house too!!! I hope now DS is ok and everything looks good? You've gone through alot in a short amound of time, be kind to yourself. ♥ Just right back to what you know and the losing will follow. ![]() Day 2 done. Effects of lc have not kicked in, yet I feel better. It's mentally knowing that I'm doing the right things that has caused me to stand straighter, and feel prouder. I'm guessing I'm up 10 plus, but hoping to see something in the 30s this weekend when I get brave enough to look. |

I'm trying to remember that it's only blip. My goal was 80 pounds this year. I still think that is very possible. Once I get on the scale, I'll set some short term goals.
Danielle - what did you change to get your scale to move? Katy - thanks! I feel the same about you!! You know, I have your number in my cell still from when I was in the hospital having ds. Do you have free texting? Today was a good one food wise. Went out for lunch and the restaurant had all day breakfast. I had a three egg omelet with broccoli, cheddar, and sausage. Also had coffee w/ cream. Very good lunch out. Had bun less burger for dinner. |

Thanks girl. I hate leaving ds on weekends since my time with him is already limited with work, but I know it's important. I need to start exercising soon.
Today was good. Lots of cream, cheese, and calories. I've been snacky and craving stuff. I so want ketosis. Hoping it finds me soon. This next week is a busy one. Kids are back in school on Monday (dh is a school admin), we have our walk thru on Monday night, and we close thurs. Movers are coming saturday to empty our storage unit. We figure we'll move out of the apartment 2 or 3 weeks later. We want to paint and do some pool safety stuff before we move in. Dh also wants to do some wiring (Internet/cable/ceiling speakers) before we move in, if possible. I'm beyond excited to get out of this apartment. People above us like to get really loud at all hours and I'm sick of ds waking up at 3am. I'm going antiquing tomorrow with my aunt and ds. Then I'll grocery shop. Plan to keep it simple this week to try to get in ketosis. |

I actually hate getting pedicures and/or getting my hair done. I hate sitting there for that long, it makes me crazy!!! Pampering for me is a nice long massage or facial!
I love going antiquing! I am on a vintage Pyrex kick and it's like crack to me when I find some at a good price, LOL! I am also dying for a Hoosier cabinet but am not willing to pay what they want at antique stores/flea markets. Even the ones on craigslist are $300 and up! I need to score one at an estate or garage sale!
