Ahhhhhhh, so flipping frustrated today. I made good choices every meal until Saturday. TOM started, it was a party, and then dinner out at a fancy Italian place. Told myself I could have whatever all day. Got back on track yesterday without issue. Nervously got on the scale this morning only to see 6 pounds gained!!! Seriously!

I'm hoping they will leave fast, but I hate that my 'good' eating trip was still so detrimental. This was the best I've ever done on vacation. I clearly have a lot to learn.

Today is a DD. This makes me double sad.

Amber, you know it was a perfect storm - TOM, eating out. And it is probably all water. The carbs, the fluid retention.

Don't be so hard on yourself. One thing I truly know about this journey is we have to live! We can't be perfect 100% of the time - well, I know some people can but doing that is what drove me to rebel and gain back a crap load of weight. The fact that you were that good on vacation is progress! I am NEVER good on vacation. Hell, I can't get it together to be good on a weekend!

I have a feeling you will be down in a matter of days. Don't worry!

Girlfriend, don't be sad!!! It's definitely the carbs!!! Keep it clean today and drink loads of water and I guarantee you'll be back down tomorrow! Those carbs fill up your fat cells again with WATER - no worries! Since you do it low-carb, any introduction of carbs is going to cause that big jump - but it's not true fat. Have a nice clean DD today and don't stress - cortisol causes weight gain!

I know, I know, I know. I still want to whine. perfect storm for weight gain is right.

I'm up 4 pounds today. It's an UD so I get to eat thankfully. Menu will have cream cheese concoction, coney island pie, steak salad, and not sure what else.

I've been lurking on stillmans threads and thinking about trying it. I did it in 2003 with good success. I'm thinking I'll do what I'm doing for a week and then maybe do a week of stlls to shake things up. I'm not sure yet. I'm just visualizing the teens and want to get through the 20s fast if possible.

In my opinion Amber (and really, what do I know? LOL), I wouldn't go messing with it right now. That's what I did and the result was a huge disaster. You are seeing great results with JUDDD....it is still very much working for you so I would just trust the process!

Katy - I know what you're saying is truly the best advice, but I can't stop thinking of doing a week of stills just to jump start me. I'm thinking maybe Sunday...

Danielle - no, it's really hard. It's basically a meat/egg fast but low fat too. I'm not even sure I could do it again.

Mel -

Yesterday was an UD. Had a work happy hour and had two glasses of wine. Ate dinner super late. No loss today as a result. Have some more functions today so it will be another UD and tomorrow will be a DD. TOM is still here and driving me crazy. I mentally want carbs soooooo badly but will continue to resist.

My mind keeps screaming, 'shake it up!!' I swear, trying juddd was one of the best things I did this year that it makes me even more tempted to try stills since maybe it will be another worthwhile change. Still not decided but contemplating it all. I'm just eating lc this week and off my rotation. Might do a DD tomorrow but not likely. TOM is causing major cravings and I think if I restrict right now that I may cheat.

Just want to say that reading everyone's journal is one of my very favorite parts of this site. You are all such amazing and inspiring women!!!

Ok, I'm stubborn to a fault. I'm going to attempt Stillmans starting Saturday. Dh and I have a date tomorrow night. We have a gift card to a restaurant we don't frequent so we plan to spend the whole thing so we don't have to go back. I looked and they have a martini bar. I plan to indulge tomorrow and then do stills for a solid week.

We'll be going out of town the last week in July and my goal is 219. I have a month.

Just want to say that I think you rock and I so understand the need to try something different to shake it up. I do it all the time because I get so sick of the same old thing all the time.

Supporting you in whatever you choose to do but just know everything will be just fine.

Amber, what version of Stillman's are you going to do? I looked on the Stillman's board and there seems to be 3 versions. I am at a very frustrating point right now and battling up and down with the same 5 pounds! Maybe I'll jump on Stillman's with you, but I need to learn more about it first.

Mwah! I could kiss you all for being so incredibly supportive.

Andrea!!! I've missed you! I'm going to do the quick weight loss version. The one that is basically just lean meat, eggs, cottage cheese, and spices. No added fats, oils, veggies, etc. I did it years ago (2003) with great success. If I remember correctly, I dropped like 20 pounds really quick, maybe 3 weeks? I'm committing to it for one week. I figure I'll get back to siggy weight at least. I'd love to do it until I see 219. Let me know it you start. I'd love to do it with you.

So, my date night was good. I had a few drinks and lots of carbs. Starting fresh tomorrow. I'm excited to start something fresh. I think it will be good for me mentally.

We are going on vacation in 4 weeks and I'd love to drop at least 20 pounds before then. I know I'll still be fat, but I'd at least feel a little lighter.

Stillman's looks tough but I think it's really do-able for me since I'm at home for the summer and not having to worry about bringing my lunch to work or anything like that.

Andrea - I forgot that you are off for the summer!!! I'm jealous. Are you starting today?

Mel - you shouldn't change a thing skinny minny. actually, when I did it before I was close to your weight and still lost FAST!

Today is day one. My plan is deli turkey, grilled chicken, and hb eggs. Lots of water. I faced the scale and bounced to 235!!! That's up 7! I was up 4 and had way too much alcohol and carbs last night, so I guess that equaled another 3.

Amber, I'm going to the store today to stock up on allowed foods... not that there are many!

I plan to start on Monday. I ate lowcarb this whole past week (meat, cheese, veggies) and I've only lost a pound! At my weight, a pound a week really isn't an acceptable loss. So, I think I need something more drastic to shake my system up!

Good luck as you start day 1. I know you'll do great, you know this works for you! I'm so excited to see where you're gonna end up.

Hurray for date night! I think I've set some kinda record, I haven't had any alcohol since I started lc again. Miracle! Glad you guys had fun.

Anything fun planned for the weekend?
