I had to tear out the door in a hurry for a meeting this morning, so I am late today.
No change at all in the scale--still 155.2. My body knows how to shoot me down when I'm all excited, let me tell you. Planning to just take it easy and putter around the house this afternoon. Next week will be busy, so I need to enjoy the calm! |

OMG. I am STILL exactly 155.2. How is that even possible with all the food and fluids going in and out? It's just weird...
If it's still there tomorrow it'll call for an apple day, but I'm just not going to be able to do one. Dave's coming in tonight for a 3 day weekend, and he'll want to be out and about, and he'll want to eat out. I have figured out how to do that on P2 (plain grilled chicken breasts, salads with dressing on the side, etc.) But nothing but apples? I don't want to have to explain that to someone who already thinks I'm obsessed to the point of borderline eating disorder...(plus, apple days make me weak in the knees--no energy or stamina at all.) So c'mon, body--PLEEEEEEEZ let some weight go today!

remember that apple days are purely for your head, not your hiney...they are not, by any stretch of the imagination, *necessary*. They are to help keep you sane if the lack of a drop is making you vulnerable to going off plan. And that is ALL they are for. So...not being able to do one=no problem

Sorry to hear that you didn't get even a smidge more weight loss. But I disagree about the apple days. I never once rebounded after one, so they do have value. If I rebounded, I would be totally on your side of the fence, Deb.
Try to enjoy your weekend with your hubby, Jessica. Let the good times roll. ![]() |

The one and only apple day I did made me sick as a dog and did not net me any loss whatsoever after a 7 day stall. Simeons was pretty specific about them... you're going to lose on this diet eventually, with or without the apples...and while they can shake things up (especially as a laxative) for some people, they are not purposed to do that in a way that effects either the overall amount of weight lost, or the average of that amount. Just in a way that makes some people tolerate the slow downs better. I think almost everyone I've heard talk about them fits into that experience with them. Not all have rebounds, but few report that they did an apple day and then continued to lose apace for a period of time after that. It just kind of depends on if you really have to see a drop to keep sticking with the plan. There are several of us who've had terrible glucose experiences on apple days, not all being diabetic. After trying it once, I decided on my second stall that expediting my sure and inevitable loss was not worth dealing with the apples. I just waited it out and my average loss, no matter how I divided up my round (in weeks, months, 3 weeks, first half, second half, middle third...no matter what) was .65 lbs per day.

and my hat's off to anyone who can eat 5 apples in one day and not pass out! (giggle) I do think they have a great value when people are at the end of their ropes with a stall (if they can do it and remain functional)

I hear ya. Actually, I never ate more than 3 apples on those days. I just didn't have any hunger and I'm not such an apple-fan that it was tempting to eat to the maximum allowed of six. It's definitely an "end of your rope" maneuver. It has its place, for sure. |

Maybe I've just been divorced too long (since November), but if I had a husband in town, I can think of at least one way I could burn some extra calories and make the scale budge. Just sayin...
(and it doesn't involve apples) (or maybe it does) |

Good morning, and how GLORIOUS to see Pooti out of hiding and making the rounds!
I'm back to normal today, but still not through the sticking point. Enjoying having Dave home--will contemplate more drastic measures tomorrow or Monday. Have a great weekend, friends! |

Good morning, world. I didn't even weigh today--went totally off the rails last night. Our friends took us to a tapas restaurant last night, and for once, it truly was impossible to eat hcg style. But I'm right back after it this morning. Maybe this "accidental JUDDD" will eventually help me through my stuck place.
Gotta run get ready for church. I'll be taking Dave to the airport right in the middle of the SB, but I don't care--no interest in either team (or Madonna, haha.) Happy Sunday. |

Madonna? That's what the mute button is for!
I am going to be watching it so I know what my dear Mother is going through. If the Patriots lose, I fear for her health. An 80 year old heart can only take so much! I'm glad you enjoyed your evening out, Jessica. And I'll bet your little refeed will be beneficial for you. ![]() Pooti, I'm impressed with your creativity! It really puts the losses into perspective. |

Morning, all. Weight still up from my indiscretions, but I'll apply myself seriously today and see what I can do.
I didn't even turn the SB back on after I got home from the airport. Guess I should've--heard it was quite an ending. In other news, guess whose car is in the garage! Dave helped me get my large items moved out to the curb and I have a pick-up set for today. Then after a bit of rearranging, we moved my car in! I feel safer this way--now people can't tell when I'm home and when I"m not by whether my car is sitting in the driveway--not to mention that it will be out of the elements and when I get it washed, it'll stay clean. I'm stoked! I've got something on my mind that I"m mulling over and I'll write about it once I get my thoughts sorted out--related to weight and why I seem to self-sabotage every time I get to 155. Maybe I don't really WANT to go any lower? Maybe I'm somehow afraid to? I dunno--as I said, mulling it over. See youse guys later! |

Nice catch, Deb! Good researching. I wonder if she still feels that way, though. She looks great in her Avi and I don't recall her saying things about not liking her appearance since getting well into the 50's. Jessica, what do you think? |

I am inching my weekend weight gain back off. That's about all there is to report. Back in the morning, if not sooner! |

Here's to peaceful mulling. We all need to do that once in a while. Especially when we've been in "attack mode" for a long time. Rest, relax, recharge, think. We'll still be here
