Wow! I can't believe I found this.
This is my original journal, that I dropped off when I became pregnant. Now here I am about 6 weeks postpartum and going to drag the other journal I started over here and copy those posts- I also like this format I have betters than anything I have come up with on my postpartum journal. See everyone back here! |

Copied from postpartum journal
Hi there- I have taken the journalling plunge - it really has helped me in the past. A bit about me first. I am 4 weeks post partum after having my first child. I worked an incredibly stressful job throughout my pregnancy and gained a lot of weight. I am only 5'3" tall and when I stepped on the scale in the hospital as I was being admitted for labor and delivery it read 230.5. I am currently at 197 with my ultimate goal being 140/5. I was 157.5 when I became pregnant. I am still in my maternity jeans and really just want out. I am exclusively pumping so hoping that helps with the weight loss. This also means I need to stay at 50 carbs so my milk production does not suffer. I am also not yet healed so I am not yet working out. We are going on family vacation July 22 and would like to feel a bit better about myself. And that week is going to be HARD - the week completely revolves around food, but I will worry about that then... Here we go!!! And thanks to anyone who wants to read along

Happy 4th Going to go with the flow a bit today. Really need to get things in the bathroom department moving . Just had some Greek yogurt with berries and flax hoping it will help. I really need to watch my fiber to make sure I am getting enough. So no real fod plan for today except we are finally going to cook the wings we have. I might start adding some personal goals here to for the days- maternity leave is an adjustment from my job so here is a list for today Clean bedroom Empty garbages Thank you notes Input food into ****** Sounds like a plan for today |

Weighed in at 193 this morning so I am pretty psyched- 187 by 7/22 really seems doable. Milk production has still been good and I am excited for a good week coming up. I also want to figure out the format of this journal so it is consistent day by day Made heroine wings- I don't love them, but glad I tried the recipe Making roast beef today for the week and have some. Chicken thighs to defrost that I can make as well. I am looking to clear out the fridge and freezer so upcoming menus may look a little odd, but I am just going to have to go with it. |

Quiet around these parts because last week on vacation was a disaster. Back up to 195, but food shopped today and have a plan
I am going to cook tomorrow and be all set up for success I am 8.5 weeks post partum- it's time to get serious My milk production is great- yes I am still sore, but I need to tough it out and start working out for real Going to bake some bacon for breakfast, devil some eggs for snacks, grill some chicken thighs for the week I also have some pork chops, salmon and shrimp for quick dinners and going through the freezer to see what else I can dig up! I would like to make some bone broth as well from some wing tips and thigh bones I don't have many vegetables to add to the pot though so we will see Off to get does rest now and be ready to go tomorrow |

Guess who needs to journal to be accountable. This gal!
So back to journaling I go I have been fluctuating between 177 and 172 and really need to lose these 30lbs. My goal is to do it by my 30th birthday in May. I have been on a good workout kick and will continue. My job right now is to mother the little one, find a job I love outside the home, workout and eat well. Also I want to get back to eating a paleo diet and doing a whole30 or more, but we have some illegal foods in the house right now and I just can't waste them. So today looks like this 2 eggs in butter Cabbage Jicama home fries Banana Sunbutter Cheese stick We are having London broil Broccoli Spaghetti squash with sauce Salad Already did work out 5 from c25K and have shoulders and arms p90x on tap Back with renewed vigor |

So in all honesty last night was a disaster. My dad is here visiting and wanted Chinese. I could have handled it and gotten meat and veggies, but no I didn't even think of staying on plan. Which is really bad, it wasn't even a thought. Good news is I felt gross after eating it which never happens I have a garbage gut that can handle everything.
I did most of yoga x yesterday little one didn't quite give me the full 90 mins I needed. Today has been good so far 3 HB eggs with mayo and smoked paprika Banana Tea with HWC Lunch and dinner will be leftovers of the good food I made all week On tap is legs and back and c25k workout 8 Keep on truckin |

Whole30+ day 1
So yesterday wasn't awesome, I missed my workouts, but I am ready to start my whole30+
I keep calling it a whole30+ because I want to keep it going longer than the 30 days. When I went 30 days in September I felt like I should have gone longer but didn't and really wish I did. So today is day 1 and I am ready to go. So far I have had tea, but eggs and an orange or apricots are on the breakfast menu and we will go from there. And I need to catch up on my workouts which I plan to do this morning. Here is to my adventure! |

Whole30+ day -1
Yesterday went well. I did legs and back and ran. My knees hurt today more than I would like. I am scheduled to run today, I am thinking of switching up my sneakers to see if it helps.
I also plan on going to yoga today. I hope it's a nice flowy class. Food yesterday was 2 fresh apricots with sun butter 3 HB eggs with 1/2 an avocado Tea Big salad with oil and lemon juice, olives, chicken and 1/2 an avocado Snack of nuts, olives and chicken breast Dinner (too late for my liking) London broil broccoli bsprouts and squash Tea So it's day -1 because the sun butter has evaporated cane juice in it so whomp whomp...I need to start over On to a good day |
