Thank you, ladies! I took the day off and did a whole lotta nothing. Spent a lot of time examining Wonder Woman costumes, lol. My son is sick--cough cough-- and now I am, too. ****! So, I am downing the vitamins and emergen-c and zinc tabs and hoping something will stave it off. So far, no dice.

Still low carb, high low carb, but generally still low carb. ha! glad I stocked up on sugar free cough drops-- it's coming for me!

Sure is quiet in here at night-- am I the only west coaster? I know SeaBreezes is still awake in lovely Hawaii, eating some poke!

See you all in the morning, I guess!

Yes, I am still up. Not too late here. I tried a "fried" chicken recipe using a little coconut flour and minced mac nuts ala Sam Choy's chicken. It came out quite well. I used chicken breasts that were a bit dry without something to perk them up. I usually get thighs, but was trying something out for a dinner party next weekend that failed, so had to do something different with the ones I hadn't used.

I have my can of black beans sitting on the counter, but don't know if I will make the cake before next week now or not.

Hope the cold doesn't get too bad. We overdose on echinea and vitamin c when we feel one coming on. Don't know if it helps or not, but we think it does!!

Had a good low carb day - hope I can keep it up. Hubby is finally down about 10 pounds since the latter part of June.

Glad to hear you took a day off. You need to recharge!

Sorry to hear that bug is at your house. DH had it for a week now. Of course, he was dying the whole time! LOL Hope yours goes away fast and easy. When he first started the symptoms, I started double dosing the zinc...doing ok so far (crosses fingers)

Didn't get the cake made again.... But! I did get 2 coats of primer on the spare room! LOL Been putting it off for sometime. Hoping to get the paint on tonight and tomorrow evening. It may actually be done soon! Cake to celebrate?

So what do you have planned for today?

Good morning! Everyone needs a day off once in a while. I hope you don't get too sick from this cold. I usually drop Vit C all day long to fight things off.

I felt crappy at work yesterday morning and thought I was hallucinating that I was stuffy headed. BUT! I chucked up a heap of phelgm and I'm fine!!! I do the echinacea Vitamin C combo too. Usually does the trick. I am cleaning this moning. IMAGINE THAT!!! If I just slow down from all my other activities I could get this house together. I want to go to the Sears Outlet today and look at appliances. I need a dishwasher and washing maching BADLY. And this fridge is too tiny. I want the one with the freezer drawer at the bottom. Ugh I need new everything...LOL

Ate very much on plan yesterday. I hope today goes as well!!! I got 10 pounds to that chocolate bean cake!

Yum poke, I love that!!!!!!! Man I could eat sushi!!! I did a few weeks ago and didnt gain, maybe I see sushi in my weekend.

Yeah Ang I suck on zinc vitamins, they taste terrible but I swear they work when I feel a cold coming on, poor little man, sucks when they get summer colds!

Dont fret over Wonder Woman, enjoy your relaxation, you have been too stressed as is!!!

Angela - Ack sick again! You poor bugger. Rest and relax this weekend. The stress of that dress probably kicked your immune system in the nuts. Enjoy relaxing!

Amber, have you tried having sashimi instead of sushi? No sticky rice of course, but you get that yummy fish, wasabi and soy taste with low cals and low carbs. LOVE the stuff, even prior to LC.

Oh yeah Tig I love sashimi too, tuna is my fav, but you know me I love the rice and the sauces and the combos in rolls, LOL Now if I can have brown rice we can go to the local place and get that a little healthier!! As long as I am working out!!!

Ang was busy thinking today about WOnder Woman, God love her she was shooting me questions all day!!! She is a perfectionist and this costume is going to rock!!!

Yes. It is.

But, I wouldn't call it "shooting questions," Amber. It was more like "bossing you around."

I'm just laying low today. Grilled burgers and broccoli for dinner. Pretty boring day-- just the way I like them.

LOL The Glam bossing around Wonder Woman!

Martini: Love Sears Outlets. I want one of those fridges too. If yours is surrounded by cabinets, you might want to measure carefully. They are bigger than the old ones. Wider, deeper, and taller if I remember right. My niece bought one and it didn't fit! Wouldn't fit here either. Was thinking about changing things in my kitchen set up anyway,so may figure it into the plans. Got to get DH in line with it, and nephew (contractor) to give me estimates, etc. Need new countertops (as in should have replaced a couple years ago) and flooring (same thing as countertops). Figure I may as well do it right.

Yay for boring days!

Oh Glammy one, you can boss me around any day!!!! LOL I like *****y women!!!LOL

Ahhhh Sears Outlet!!!! What a joy! The patio sets were very cheap too! So many wonderful returned and even new appliances! I want that darn 2 drawer dish washer!!!

WOW!!! So IF Amber is Wonder Woman and Glamisha is bossing her around then she was on the intro to the show wearing a white toga giving Amber her super powers.... I used to think Shazam was a cutie! Hey he could be Buck Rogers!!! I loved Buck!

I have a side by side and it is fuller now than when the kids were all home. What gives?

Our freezer is ancient. Inherited it from my MIL when she passed years ago....aprox 32. So, it is up there. Would most likely be cheaper to get a new one....less elec. prob.

LOL Glam's white toga woman!

Hope you're feeling better!

Oh, you mean like this? (This is as close as I could find in my digital archives-- 2005, I was a Valkyrie and my husband was Gordon Freeman from Half Life. I also had a big ol' sword, wonder where that went?) I also have a pretty fine medusa costume where I'm wearing a Grecian gown, but I had snakes all over my head.

Yes, there are some really handsome men here & beautiful women. Glad you got yours to Oregon. I'm thankful my husband likes it here as much as I do. I came in the early 60's for summer school at UH and fell in love with the Islands.

And yes, I am old enough to be mother or tutu to almost all of you!!

Having a group in for dinner tonight so am sitting down between cooking projects!

LOL yes I can appreciate the costume. VERY unique rofl! He looks way hotter than gordon. Nice attention to detail.

You of course look fantastic. And yup you're brilliant at hiding any icky bits, but you are kinda sorta like 4 inches taller than me and I don't have a lot of rolly bits at 245. You def have that evil valk look - mess with me and you're dead!

Hope today is another nice boring one!
