Don't be dissin my Coke! LOL
Yay for the race You're braver than I am - I lost MY mojo!

I'm really frustrated with my running lately. I haven't had a good run in weeks. I'm not sure if it's the extra workouts (which I don't want to give up or cut back on just yet) or maybe a combination of stress/PMS. Probably a combination of everything, I guess I'll have to wait until TOM has come and gone to know for sure. UGH. I just wish I could go more than 5-10 min without walking. I pushed and ran/walked 5k this morning, then did the shred when I got home. Ya know what I'm getting really tired of? Washing the sweat out of my hair! I used to be able to go 2 days without washing, now with all this excercise I have to wash (& dry & straighten) it every.single.day.

I would if I could. It's not actually curly, more like a frizzy, wavy, knotted mess. LOL I do just throw it up in a clip the days I know I won't have to go anywhere to help keep it from getting too fried from all the styling.

I finally got around to posting wedding pics from this weekend on my blog. Here's the link if any of you want to check it out: ABC & 123: Steve & Cassie's Wedding I don't know why, but when I post pics here I have sizing issues, and I really hate having to host them somewhere else.

Awww hun you are looking good in that purple dress!!! Your hubby is so cute you make such a sweet couple!!!!!!! Did you take one of you in the dress alone?

Don't get me started on the hair, it gets so wet and I am a mess in the morning, if I don't exercise I can sometimes just flat iron it, but usually I have to wash it and start over, I found this great stuff by Framesi, straight, it smells really good and helps flatten me out, my hair tends to wave up easily, its really thick and course and I am not particularly adapt with the flat iron, LOL

I haven't flat ironed my hair in over 2 yrs!!!!!!!!!!!! My hair is natural and I am scared if I do it will get heat damaged and I will have no more curls!!!!!! But I heard that the more moisture the better your hair reacts to flat ironing. My hair has grown so much... My curls are so tight though you can't tell because it shrinks up so!!!!

I LOVE THE PICS!!! I tried to comment but it wouldn't let me!!! You look good girl!

OMG I just hit my fitness goal!!!!

I've really been struggling with the running lately and had a horrible cheat with some homemade choc chip cookies last night. I figured I needed to run them off today, so I decided I'd run/walk part way to my parents house since we were going there later anyhow. The plan was for DH to leave about 45 min later then pick me up on his way. Well, he left a bit later than planned and by the time he reached me I was almost there. I had come this far, there's no way I was going to stop just shy of my goal. I had a quick sip of water and was off again. I made it the whole 9.2k in 70min!!! The best part- I didn't walk-at all. I stopped only to tighten my shoe & speak briefly with DH when he met me.

That is exactly what I've been running for all summer- to go from my door to my parents without stopping. When I got close to the end, I actually had tears (I know, surprise, surprise LOL) and as I ran through my old neighborhood, I couldn't have been prouder if I had a crowd of people greeting me. I wasn't expecting to hit this goal before November, let alone so soon.

I'm so happy, but I'm not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. Between the cookies, TOM, and my run, I'm sure I'll be holding a ton of water. Totally worth it though.

Yeah, a sports bra is a must. LOL

189.4 I'm still pleased about my run, but yuck! I really wish I had waited until tues/wed to weigh. Can I just say how incredibly sore I am today? By the time I got home last night I could hardly move, and today I ache everywhere. Still worth it though!

IKR Kristyn!!! James was like yea just wait... you don't want those things flying everywhere!!!

Well maybe TOM has a lot to do with it probally. Sure the cheat didn't help but you are doing so great with your working out. I always figure I probally could have a cheat if I work out... That's the way my mind incorporates things. LOL

I can't believe it either! I try to stay around 30 net carbs - maybe the cookies were what fueled me? That's a dangerous thought. LOL I'm sure a bit of oatmeal would be more productive.

I don't plan to do that run again soon - I'm in so much pain! Usually if I get sore, it's my feet/ankles - today it's my hips. Ouch.

Are you doing a lot of stretches after running, especially for your flexor muscle, the is probably what hurts the long muscle that feels like it is the front of your hip down your front thigh, that is the spot that always hurts me sometimes after running, the other night it was my ankle, running sucks, its so hard on the bod! I think if you run that distance some healthy carbs will help you, steel cut oats, whole wheat pasta, etc

Yes the flexor muscle, it sounds like that's it. I guess I need to work on stretching more. I mostly stretch just my calves, but didn't even do that last night I took some motrin- much better. I'm debating whether to do the shred or skip it for today. I think it may help loosen me up.

I did the shred yesterday and today- it really helped loosen me up. I can't believe I forgot to stretch That'll teach me.

I only have 5 more shred days to go! I can't believe how much my endurance has improved in the last month. When I started I could barely make it through level 1- now I'm on 3 with a few modifications, but I'm able to do full situps & pushups. I don't think I've lost any inches, though I'll have to wait till this nasty TOM is gone. I'm so bloated I can hardly move, it's disgusting. I drank 120 oz of water today, hopefully it's enough to flush me out.

So I guess I'm going to have to come up with a new fitness goal. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe 5k in under 30 min.

You need to enter a local race and do it a 5K for the feeling it is the best and then have a recorded time to beat in a another few months!!! So proud of you, you are my running mama, you know that!!!!

187.2 getting better.....

Thanks Amber. Maybe if I get under 30 min I will enter a 5k in the spring.
My MIL is coming for a visit a week from today- I saw her last in the spring (20 lbs ago) at SIL's wedding. It will be nice for Brian and the kids to spend some time with her. He picked up hockey tickets, and I know she wants to go to the zoo so hopefully we'll keep her pretty busy. We get along really well, but I'm a bit nervous for this visit. She doesn't agree with our decision to homeschool, and likes to tell DH that he shouldn't "let me" do it. As if he wasn't a part of the decision at all Maybe she'll be so dazzled by my improved health that she'll forget all about it

Have a great day girls!

Tell me about it!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that there is so much to do but I hate that everything and everyone is so spread out!!! Atlanta is a small city but it's the surrounding cities and counties that make up the real metro Atlanta!!!

I'm back up to 187 today I'm guessing the LC ice cream I had last night is sticking with me. I have to get this binging under control!

DH and I had a talk last night, and I think he may finally get it. WARNING: Long story alert! FB has been an issue for years in our house (chatting w/ exes, etc.) to the point that I threatened to cancel our internet all together, but decided not to because I use it too. Plus, his family lives on the other end of the country and FB makes it easy to keep up with them. Anyway, without going into detail, there have been many chatting incidents that I consider inappropriate for a married man. I know he's never cheated on me, but he's flirted with that fine line a few times. Like I said, he has never cheated (everyone lives in his hometown with his family) and he thinks I'm just really overreacting. I just don't see why he'd want to waste so much time chatting with random women online. Last night I put it like, "Don't you get how I feel? Every time you say you think someone is hot, or you chat online with some girl you went to high school with, I feel like I will never be enough for you." He didn't really say anything after that, but later de-activated his FB account. Of course, he could have kept his account so he could talk to his family, but he's an all-or-nothing kind of guy.

I want to be clear that I'm not losing weight for him, I'm doing it for me. I just can't believe it took so long for him to understand how insecure his actions make me feel.

mama- let me tell you me an Tony had what I call the "Janice Incident of 9/17/09" because of Facebook, LOL I don't let him forget it it is the only fight we have had in 3 years!

He met me right after he and his wife split, and well you know I am so perfect he couldn't help but fall in love, LOL So Janice he dated in his early 20's, he won tickets when a travel agency opened across from his office and they went to France together, so she moves back home and is chatting the crap out of him on Facebook, I have never chatted an ex on Facebook ever!!!

So I said I don't really like this, now we were dating 15 months and it was my B-day and we were going to the Pocono's the place with the heart shaped tubs, blah blah I was really excited, its a 2 hour drive, well 15 minutes into the drive he says I had dinner with Janice last night????? HUH?????????????

OMG I was silent for 2 hours, I am never silent!!!! LOL Let's just say my silent treatment is deadly.

I debated jumping out of the car, I debated stabbing him in the jugular with a key while he was driving, I was like what kind of ****** are you, you tell me you love me and you take another woman to dinner? OMG I was so mad!!!!!

So when we got there he says well is this it, I said I dont know, he is like well I told her all about you how in love I am, I said she wants the Italian sausage again you idiot, women don't chase men on Facebook to catch up and go to dinner, he was like I wanted to see if I have grown as a person I loved her and she broke my heart, OMG he was digging a bigger hole,

so this is getting long, I forgave him, I made him write an email that I read that it was inappropriate to go to dinner because he is in a committed relationship, but it was nice to catch up, LOL

But man let me tell you, I was so ticked, I debated ending it with him, he is really stupid with women, he was married over 20 years and didn't date a lot so I gave him that one, and it still comes up, like when he acts like an idiot I mention the "janice incident" LOL

Tony was so broke when he first left keeping his house with his ex going and his apt, and we never went out, so the fact he was taking me to this fancy hotel was so exciting, and then he takes her to dinner, OMG it is making my blood boil just thinking about it, I will have to rip him a new one tonight all over again, LOL

But anyways, you and hubs have 3 beautiful kids, men are total retards he has no desire to cheat, he likes the attention, men are so needy, but he can get his account back but share this story with him, and this

"men do not need to be chatting women on facebook for anyreason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

You are a beautiful girl and he loves you!!!!!!!!! But I know how you feel!!

Would you believe I typed all this and lost it, and had to type it again, LOL

PS I may have been 300 pounds but she was ugly, age was not kind to her, LOL
