OG was amazing!!!! Stuck with zuppa soup, salad & breadsticks, but still consumed about 200 carbs, (but it was sooooooooo good!) And I deserved a night out

Chuggin away at my water now though lol. (Also eating a bunch of sf candies in the hope my dinner will all be gone quickly ) Bought a bunch of new clothes, all shirts & dresses. Basics that haven't been replaced in a few yrs. We also got some stuff for our parties - tons of printed papers, a cutter, another beverage dispenser. We have a beach party coming up soon so we got a bunch of beach balls & stuff for that. Oh, and the cutest little suckers in the shape of a creamsicle. ADORABLE!

FIL was sent home again with an inhaler & more antibiotics. Apparently it's a virus that's sending his whole body out of wack.

Do I dare give my food counts?
2000 cal, 211 carbs
B- flax muffin w/ butter & cream cheese
L- protein shake
D- Soup, salad, breadsticks
S- sugar free reeses

Okay, that wasn't pretty. Interestingly, when I checked their nutritional info before I left, one breadstick has roughly the same # carbs as a serving of salad or soup. That's when I decided not to skip the breadsticks. (Although I could have stopped at one, or two, or three...lol)

Has anyone ever used neprene clothes/wraps? It's supposed to help shed water weight from a specific area when you wear it during exercise. I got a really good deal on some curves shorts from avon and wore them for the shred today. OMG it's so uncomfortable and stiff it's like wearing a resistance band! BUT it really did make me sweat, so maybe they will be good for running too?

I ran 5k today!!!!!!! First time since the fall without walking at all. I met my lowest time too I asked my SIL to come with me but she didn't want to hold me back so she biked - it worked out good cause just knowing I was slowing her down pushed me harder.

100% back on wagon today. I think it was so easy because I didn't have any dessert. Sugar gives me horrible cravings. Like, little devil sitting on my shoulder whispering in my ear kind of cravings. Yuck. I'm glad I thought of this ahead of time and I'm not suffering today.

Took the kids out for breakfast today, then shopping for stuff for DS's Star Wars bday party. I'm making Jedi robes & Lightsabres for each kid, got the supplies for those. If I can get my hands on a projector we'll have an outdoor movie screening complete with a popcorn & candy cart. Ahhh, the joys of having so many party supplies on hand. lol

Food:
1400 cal, 15 net carbs
50% fat, 29% protein, 5% carbs
B- bacon, 2 scrambled eggs
L- iced coffee, bacon
D- 2 burger patties, grilled zucchini & green pepper
S- Dove sf chocolate, sf pudding (not nearly as good as the mousse!)

Good day overall

Your eating and exercise look soooo good!

Just remember that the little atkins angle on your other shoulder is totally ripped and buff and can kick the daylights out of the little devil!

Of course you gals are welcome!

Paranoid- I started running in intervals last spring. Couch 2 5k is an awesome program that literally takes you from a couch potato to running 5k in a few months. I highly reccommend it if you're just starting. Did I mention it's free? You can also download apps that do the timing for you.

My foot/heel is bothering me today, go figure. I researched it and it looks like it might be a heel spur. Now I'm afraid to get it checked out because the idea grosses me out. Just look up images of heel spurs and you'll see why. I don't want to imagine a pointy bone sticking out of my heel, thank-you-very-much. Ick.

Mine too. Lets just hope its a fluke. I was wondering if I had a heal spur as well, but I am not going to look up the pictures. Don't want to get freaked out. I'm going to take the "it will heal route".

I have it! I used it on my elpitical early 2011 - just couldn't get outside... Then this spring I tried using it to build up for the race we did in April (where I walked a lot but i did finish in 43 minutes so it was a lot of running too) but I didn't get enough outside time. When I finished the race my feet were messed up Plantar fasciitis doc said and had me ice and stretch them - its better but then I broke my toe so I just haven't been able to get back into running....but I WILL.

Paranoid- Yeah, a broken toe would stop you for sure. Ouch!

Not sure what's up with my foot. I don't mind it being uncomfortable while I run or even walk sometimes but I get a random shooting pain from my heel when I'm not doing anything. I suppose I could try icing it again after my next run & see if that helps. I did get the compression sleeve for plantar fascitis but it just made it worse.

Beautiful day outside today. No formal exercise but I cut the grass and weeded all our walkways & driveway. Started laundry, but the washer quit on me My dad is really handy so hoping he can fix it tomorrow.

1600 cal, 19 net carbs
58% fat, 33% pro, 7% carbs
B- protein shake
L- pepperoni & mozarella
D- chicken breast & mashed cauli
S- iced coffee, mousse, protein balls

Weighed in at 192 something again. I saw 189 and got really excited until I realized the scale was sitting on something TOM showed up today - hoping for a woosh before mon.

I found a recipe for protein "cake batter" balls & adapted it to what I had on hand.
Original recipe:
1 scoop vanilla proiten powder
1T coconut oil (melted)
1T coconut flour
2-3 T water
Combine everything, roll into balls & firm up in the fridge. Makes 4 balls.

What I did:
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1T butter (I was out of co)
1T unsweetened coconut
2 T water

They kind of have a chewy caramel-like texture. I like them though.

Another busy day here. Worked on Jedi robes for the star wars party. Dad checked the washer - problem lies in the motor I see a new (well, new to me ) washer in my very near future. Hauled all laundry to Mom & Dad's to do there. Kids swam in the pool all day while I soaked up sun on the deck. Went for a run after dinner & wore my neoprene shorts again. It's nice cause they don't ride up & really suck you in. But it was HOT. I overheated and couldn't run the whole 5k without walking. I was DRENCHED in sweat when we got back and jumped right into the pool.

1700 cal, 37 net carbs
66%fat, 22% pro, 11% carbs
B-protein balls
L- protein shake
D- cheddar sausages, salad, small handful of chips
S- frozen mousse

Now what are these neoprene shorts you speak of? Are they the ones like a scuba outfit that make you sweat more? I hate a sweaty cougar, LOL I would let the washer go and go to Mom and Dad's if they have a pool, LOL

Yup, that's them. They take some getting used to cause they're really stiff. As for sweat, they're pretty gross. I could wring out my underwear & have a huge puddle lol. I'm giving them a few weeks to see if I notice a difference. I do like that they really pull me in & don't ride up.

AAAWWW sorry about your washer!! At least you can use mom and dad's until you get a new one. And you had a nice dip in the pool

I might have to look into those shorts. I got some spandex type capri workout pants form Old navy and they really hold the buldge in. I like them.

I might have to try those protein cake balls. sound yummy.

YAY for the 5k too!!! You are an exercising machine woman!

Thanks Cass I have a long way to go before I catch up to the Workout Queen (AKA Amber)!!! One more thing about the shorts: they're loud. Like you can hear me coming loud. lol

Went to cook fries for the kids for lunch today, and now the oven won't work I'm pretty sure it's just the element. At least it's a cheap fix.
Did the shred this afternoon. I still haven't moved to level 3, sometime this week...maybe

1100 cal, 13 net carbs
65% fat, 26% pro, 6% carbs
B- coffee (not hungry)
L- bacon & eggs
D- tuna salad
S- protein balls, frozen mousse

Old Navy active wear I like even more than Under Armour, UA is just too expensive, although I do love their stuff, the Old Navy stuff when they have sales and coupons you can get them cheap and it is really good stuff, if it holds my flopping boobs in, that is saying something, LOL

Melissa- is a workout dvd by Jillian Micheals. It's hard, and you def. tone up from it

Amber- Yeah, I have a pair of compression pants & a few tops from ON. I have a hard time with shorts because they ride up

Soooo... 189.4 VWL!!!!

Only 8 days till vacation. I'm going to stay on plan & continue to lose while I'm gone. It's not going to be easy - MIL bought 2 tubs of my fav ice cream (that I can't get at home) just for me She also made plans to take us out to her fav nacho place. Brian already told her I won't eat it. So much for not drawing attention to my woe. I've already started mapping my runs
It's going to be another pool day at mom & dad's. I think I'll do the shred before I go then try for a run tonight after dinner. Yup, that sounds like a plan. I think I'll bring some party stuff to work on while I'm at the pool. The party is coming together nicely.

Cass- I'm not very creative at all, I've just perfected my google skills I totally appreciate every day of being a SAHM.

So no shred today. The kids swam all day - poor me had to sit in the sun & watch them lol. As if I'd complain about tanning

I did get a run in tonight with my sis & aunt. We did pretty well, 5k in 39 min - not a personal record but the fastest we all went together

1200 cal, 23 net carbs
54% fat, 28% pro, 15% carbs
B- flax muffin w/ butter & cc
L- protein shake
D- chicken leg & spinach salad
S- frozen mousse, brocolli & dip, sliced turkey breast

I have to get my butt in gear and work on this party. I still have to sew 5 robes, make lightsabres, tags, and get my hands on a projector. At least I don't have to go crazy with a cake. DS said he wants cupcakes

You are making me want to get running!!! When I get back from vacation I'm going to get after it.

I have the shred workout but I've never managed it but one workout. I'm going to do that thing before the end of the year too! I've been doing biggest loser bootcamp with Bob which I like.

Paranoid- How do you like the BL bootcamp? I wouldn't mind working out with Bob for a change

Ceecee- Pinterest has sooo many cute (& frugal) party ideas.

I spent the day shopping with the kiddos & mom. Lots of running around - fathers day gifts, party supplies, and stuff for our trip. I'll be glad when this weekend is done so I can focus on packing & stuff. Oh, and getting ready for the beach party I'll be gone for the actual party so we have to have everything set up so my sister can handle it by herself. We went to a chinese buffet for lunch - I stuck to lc veggies and meat. I'm sure the gravies had carbs, but I stayed away from breading. The bread table was calling me rather loudly but I ignored it. Also skipped the sugar-laden desserts and had 4 strawberries and half a cookie. Big win for me
Did level 3 shred today, modified some of the jumps to accommodate my foot which is still inflamed, I'm sure walking all day in my pretty sandals didn't help. Also took the kids for 1hr walk after dinner, but thought enough to wear running shoes.

I had to guess for tracking purposes, but here goes:
1500 cal, 36 net carbs
59% fat, 24% pro, 17% carbs
B- Flax muffin w/ cc & butter
L- buffet
D- protein balls
S- frozen mousse

Not looking forward to weighing tomorrow, I'm sure sodium will have me holding tons of water.

I enjoy the BL bootcamp. I'm not t level 3 yet so I guess I really should keep doing that until I have it all down. I do like Bob better - can listen to him but I wash crazy about Jillian yelling at me lol

Yeah, Jillian and me would have some issues. I would want to point my finger at her and say "You need to mind your manners young lady! There is no need for yelling. Let's try to work on our inside voices. Ok?" Can you just imagine if somebody did that to her!

She did seem much more mild mannered in the 5 mins I watch though.
