Nikki! Thanks for stopping by!Busy day today: Got lots of work done outside, Brian got the car fixed after work ( ) soccer with the kids, trip to walmart, then a 5k run & shower. No wonder I'm beat! I'm taking the kids on a daytrip to the zoo tomorrow with my sisters & their kids, mom & aunt. I've been working on my picnic foods: veggies, dip, coldcuts & cheese. I know I'm covered - no reason to cheat with such yummy foods packed My run? Best one yet this season! 5k in 38 min. I walked a few times to catch my breath or to get around annoying pedestrians but it was for less than a minute each time. No time for shredding today, but I'm happy with the run. Food: 1350 cal, 30 net carbs B- Flax muffin w/ butter & cream cheese L- 1.5 hb eggs, broccoli & dip D- italian sausage sauteed with onion & peppers S- Jello mousse 67% fat, 18% pro, 15% carbs Thanks for sticking with me - I my LCF.

We had a great day at the zoo today despite it raining for half the day. The kids didn't seem to mind. Thankfully it cleared up in time for a picnic lunch. I got up at 5am and did the shred (started workout 2 today) before I got everyone ready to go. Food was on plan, but then I ate an entire litre of sf ice cream when I got home
Totals: 2000 cal, 60 net carbs 72% fat, 13% pro, 14% carbs B- 2 hb eggs L- hb egg, pepperettes, cheese, veggies & dip D- ice cream ![]() S- see above lol I'll count it as a semi-success. It could have been much worse and I'm sure all the walking I did today cancelled out the ice cream. |

Lots to do before I go for vacation Today's totals: 1500 cal, 16 net carbs 63% fat, 26% pro, 9% carbs B- flax muffin w/ butter & cream cheese L- spinach salad D- Steak, salad S- frozen Jello mousse , hwc |

Yeah, tracking is helping me stay on track.
So I did the shred (level 2) AND a 5k run tonight! I beat my best time too I had a thought today: I've been running a min. 3xs a week for over 1 yr. How is it possible that I'm still fat??? It makes me kinda nervous to think about maintenance- like if I'm having a hard time at 190 lbs, how hard will I have to work once I get to 140? Totals: 1500 cal, 10 net carbs 58% fat, 36% pro, 6% carbs B- flax muffin w/ butter & cream cheese L- can tuna, 1.5T mayo D- steak, spinach salad S- frozen Jello mousse, protein cake balls Have a great night! I made it through the whole party without a single bite of cake!
I brought my protein balls to eat instead and my aunt (who is also on lc) had one too Actually I was in a horrible mood - I got there at 1pm to help set up (this is the same sister that I opened my party business with) and there was SO MUCH left to do - even though I've been asking for a week what else I can do. We weren't even near ready when the first guests arrived. It turned out nice in the end though - everything was pink & yellow ruffles, and she had a cute kid-sized lemonade stand and a mini gazebo set up with pillows for the kids to lounge on. I was also wallowing in self pity and feeling really deprived - there were stuffed peppers (stuffed with rice), twice baked potatoes, potato salad and chips - all foods I love but didn't eat. Now, I have no regrets, but it's hard when you're smelling it and watching everyone else eat it. No exercise today, other than working on the party which should count as a lot since I didn't sit down until I got home at 9:30. 1500 cal, 29 net carbs 72% fat, 19% pro, 9% carbs B- 2 scrambled eggs L- 1/4 c whipping cream D- 2 hot dogs, spinach salad S- protein balls Oh yeah! Scale was nice this morning too - 192.6! I've decided to forget my lowest weight (186 in Nov/11) and count anything below 189 (my lowest this year) as vwl. Almost there! |

Fantastic work at the party! I totally hear ya on the frustration of not being able to have what you think you want, and people trying to encourage you to eat those things. Ug! You are a rock star!
Man you are the exercise queen. I bet your body looks super and strong and has a whack of muscle. |

It might, but you can't see it under all the flubber lol. I am starting to really notice little things, like the "armpit hollow" and some definition in my arms & legs. Well folks, I had a good night's sleep and my pity party is officially over. The scale was up a few oz today, but I bet it's from not drinking enough water yesterday. Today's plan is to do the shred, possibly a run after sunday dinner at mom & dad's. And make sure I have nice lc dinner options covered before I leave or bring my own. Have a gread day! |

Aww hun you did great, I so get the pity me party I go through that all the time, as I said to Tony the other day I said I would chop an arm to be able to eat anything I wanted and be thin, he is like are you serious? I said yes you don't know how hard it is going through life fearing and thinking about everything you put in your darn mouth, it is so frustrating! I know you put so much into these parties you cant control others, you made it a beautiful day and that is what counts!! New day ahead!!!

If that was possible, there would be many, many one-armed women walking around - and I'd be first in line!
Yes, the party turned out great, all the guests were impressed and we got a ton of pics to go on our website. I spent most of the day cleaning out files (mostly pics) on the laptop. Ugh, I was trying to copy them to a cd but I haven't done it in so long that the computer archived them or something? Anyway it was way more work than it should have been to find & copy each file. I did the shred this afternoon, then went for a run with my aunt after dinner. We did pretty good, but walked about 10 min total - still ran about 30 total 1600 cal, 26 net carbs 60% fat, 30% pro, 8% carbs B- protein shake L- leftover steak, protein balls D- pork, green pepper, onion, zucchini shishkabobs ![]() S- Jello mousse, jello/cream cheese fluff, iced coffee Looking forward to a good weigh in tomorrow! ![]() |

Kristyn!! You are killing the workouts girl!!! KUTGW!!
The party sounds fun and really nice. You and your sis really throw nice bday parties. I love it! That's nice that you have a family memeber to relate to when doing LC. It really helps at times. Have a great day!! I know you will be seeing lots of losses. Can I be second at cutting off my arm to be super duper skinny!!!? I wouldn't think twice about it. |

Yeah, I
my aunt! I feel like she's the only one who "gets" it and doesn't try to tempt me to eat crap. My mom is always saying she wants to lose weight, but she's not willing to give up sugar altogether and thinks a few pieces of candy or chocolate a few times a day is okay Mind you, she's not obese or anything, but I know she would feel better if she did lc. I make suggestions when I can but I don't want to be rude or pushy. New(ish) low today - 191.6! I will see vwl this week. I will do the shred this afternoon, then dinner and take the kids to soccer. I feel like I'm in a nice groove with my eating and exercise. I feel great, and haven't really been sore from my workouts. I'm not even really tempted to cheat - sure I look at stuff I can't have, but I mourn it more than I want it, ya know? Countdown to vacation is on! Only 16 days Most of my in-laws haven't seen me in over a year, so they'll surely notice a difference. And we have friends we haven't seen since we visited 2 yrs ago. I can't wait to show off how much I've lost! Hopefully I'll be down another 5lbs or so before then. I'm also really looking forward to running the gorgeous trails - lots of rolling hills |

Yup sign me up for the arm chopping off. Those that don't struggle with weight issues really have nooooo idea what its like.
How lovely your aunt gets it. Makes it a lot easier. Nice you can go out walking/running with her. Exercise doesn't always have to be balls to the wall hardcore, its great you can use it to be social and spend time with her. Totally get what you're saying about mourning the food. You're doing awesome chicka! |

Hey Kristyn!!! I found your journal tonight while browsing the journals. Way to go on your workouts. One of my biggest fears is maintaining as well. We will all figure it out with trial and error!!!
Wow, your business sounds amazing too!!! The ruffle themed party sounds cute. |

Maintaining is not that hard losing is wayyyyyyyy harder, I have pretty much been in a 10 pound window for months now, I held on to 199 for 5 weeks, then whent he gym started I blew up makes no freaking sense!!! I am really trying to not let that damn scale control me. As a note when I went to the new doctor, she said my ideal weight is 135, I was like did you see my height? I said I can tell you I will never weigh 135 so forget it!
We leave for vacation on 6/30 so I am really trying to reign it in these 4 weeks and see if I can lose and get under 200 and stay there!!! I was so afraid of maintenance but now I am not, I am afraid of not losing more weight I still need to lose at least 30 pounds, and why it doesn't come off it just makes me nuts with all the exercise, like you running!! One thng I was reading like when you started a year ago you were maybe burning 400 calories well now your body has adapted so you might be burning 300 it sucks like a cycle we can never break, ughghg We have to just keep plugging! My issue has been dried fruit and nut mix that I shove in whenever I feel like it! I actually had to dump it! |

Melanie! Thanks, we have a lot of fun with it. This is our most recent party: Lemonade party OMG Amber, what is your dr on? I'm only 5'3 and I doubt I could get to 135 if I starved myself! BUT...a book says it must be right? Did you ask her what HER ideal weight is? |

Which flavour did you get Mel? Was it good?
Yes, we can all do this! For good!!! I spent the day at my grandmothers doing yard work- that counts as exercise, right? Zumba was tonight too, so I'm covered either way. I'm going shopping with my sis tomorrow - and Olive Garden for soup, salad & breadstick dinner. It's so far away that we can only go once or twice a year, so I will prob indulge in some breadsticks. And I promise I'll be right back on plan as soon as I pay the bill - You guys can kick my butt if I'm not. lolToday: 1500 cal, 20 net carbs 62% fat, 20% pro, 12% carbs B- flax muffin, butter, cream cheese L- tuna on celery stalks D- 2 italian sausages, mashed cauli S- mousse, protein shake w/ natural pb The scale was up to 192 something TOM is due anytime - I'm not afraid of any fluctuations for a few days. Still excited for vwl! |

My very tallented sis made the cake
The mounds of ruffled decorations took forever to make- good thing we can use them again! LMAO about your dr. At least she can appreciate how much work it is to lose weight. Yes, my OG plan is JUST soup, salad & breadsticks. Maybe some alfredo dipping sauce Gonna hit up Dots for some cute vacation clothes! Kids finished school today! I'm so ready to veg at the pool all summer lol. I just got off the phone with my SIL, and FIL isn't well. He has had many problems the last few weeks and was hospitalized once for breathing issues. He wanted to wait to see a specialist (but the appt isn't until the end of the month). SIL convinced him to go to ER again today - hopefully they'll get to the bottom of things. Please keep him in your prayers if you can. ![]() |
