I just realized I haven't posted in almost a week...oops. I hurt my leg last week and yesterday was the first time I dared try to run. I hate when I'm hurt and unsure whether to push through the pain or let it rest a few days. Anyway I took a wild guess and pushed through it and I'm fine. I did get some wierd numbing & shock like pain while I ran though. It was a bit scary at the time but I'm fine now. Zumba is tonight, then a run & yoga tomorrow. I'm really excited, Brian & I are going away for the weekend -for the first time since we've had kids.
Two whole nights alone! Hard to believe we've been married 10 years already.

We had an amazing weekend. Lots of shopping & walking around. We even hiked a few short trails on our way home. It was so nice to have time for just the two of us to reconnect. I swear, you don`t notice how much is missing until you reclaim it.
![]() I attempted a run on Monday night but didn't realize how wiped I was (Thanks TOM ) until I started. The issues I've been having with my foot started up again too. We ended up walking pretty much the whole thing cause I didn't have it in me to do anything faster. I get sooooo mad when I can't do something I know I can usually do. Anyway, I went to zumba last night, then did close to 1hr of strength training today. My foot hurt horribly during zumba so I iced & wrapped it when I got home. Today is the first day in about 2 weeks that it doesn't hurt at all. I guess the ice worked. My uncle was getting rid of a home gym, so he gave it to me I'm so excited! Haha, I'd be more excited if I didn't have to put it in storage until our house sells, but that's okay. I'll just have to make sure my next house has a workout room ![]() |

Awww how lovely you had such a nice weekend reconnecting. First time away since kids? OMG, you sure needed that!
I hear ya on the frustration of not being able to do something you normally can. Glad the foot is healing and keep that ice treatment going if its working. Yay for your uncle! Hope the house sells fast! |

Thanks ladies
![]() I got another run/walk in on Fri. The arch support only seemed to make it worse, but it was bearable once I took it off. I think I waited too long to ice it though cause it still hurts. If it doesn't improve big time this week I'll have to make a trip to the dr. Yes Amber, today is crackdown day. I didn`t do too well last week, then blew lc out of the water this weekend. I feel so much better when I eat lc and it seems to improve my running - so that`s my motivation to stick with it. <Insert BAHB growl here> I ran into my (mega athlete) cousin today, she was telling me about the tough mudder she just signed up for. OMG! 17k mud run with British Armed Forces designed obsticles. She was like, you should do it too. She's nuts!! DD's dance recital was Sat, OMG she was adorable! She was in heaven when I did her hair & let her wear makeup. ![]() |

OMG I have seen videos of that special forces run that is no joke, like people can keel from that, she must be one tough mama to do that, I have no desire to exert myself beyond 5K, LOL

We must have different metabolisms or something
I work way better on low carb. The lower the better apparently. I'm not sure why but I'm full of energy tonight. I took the kids to soccer and all I could think was how badly I wanted to run the hills around the park. I think I'll get up early tomorrow to go for a long run. If my foot hurts I can always walk instead. |

Today was good - I did Jillian Micheals' Ripped workout this am, did an extra arm workout and got my Zumba on tonight. I'm getting back to induction level carbs, with high fat % - posting for accountability
B- Coffee w/ cream & splenda, 1/4 cup whipping cream L- Avocado, 3 strips bacon D- 1 chicken breast, 1 tomato S- 1/4 cup whipping cream, 3 strips bacon 1174 cal, 6 net carbs, fat: 65% protein: 28% carbs: 6% Scale wasn't as nice. Still no downward movement We leave in just over 1 month for our cross-country trip to visit the inlaws. I'm not sure how I'll handle lcing as a houseguest. I don't want to insult my MIL by not eating everything she cooks (and she would be offended). I'm thinking I may need a case of Atkin bars in my suitcase I'm going to have to keep up with my running while we're gone too, so I have a lot of routes to research. I need to find something simple enough that I won't get lost. |

Re/ MIL - I think I'll put more emphasis on "clean eating" as opposed to lc. It's kinda complicated because she loves having houseguests and is an incredible hostess but can be really judgemental and easily offended.
Anyway....today was okay, though I ate way too much. I guess it's my body's way of calorie/carb cycling - yesterday was really low. Today's totals: 1980 Cal, 32 net carbs, 62% fat 27% protein, 10% carbs B- flax muffin w/ butter L- 2 burger patties, mayo, 1 plum tomato D- Chicken breast, avocado, broccolli & 1T sour cream dip S- atkin bar, cream cheese & hwc Workout- 30 day shred (level 1) No downward movement on the scale again! I think I need to work harder to get my water in and flush out all the excess - no pun intended lol. |

Another beautiful day here. I went for a long (7k route) run/walk. Still walked about half, but it still worked out to be about 25 min running so I'm happy with that. Then spent the afternoon working in the yard with the kids. Only one more flat of annuals to plant and I'm done...until next week lol.
Someone's cat got into my shed in the winter & sprayed all my patio chair cushions So gross! I've hosed them down, sprayed with febreeze and let them air out for a few weeks and they still reek. I think I may go out tomorrow and just replace the whole chairs instead. I'd rather have sling style without the cushions anyway. I wanted to get in another strength workout after dinner, but ran out of time. It's just as well, my shoulders are killing me! Today's summary: 1826 cal, 42 net carbs (high, I know) 57% fat, 28% pro, 13% carbs B- 2 eggs, bacon, 2 slices dark rye toast L- Spinach salad w/ chicken breast D- Chicken breast, avocado, broccoli & dip S- cream cheese & hwc I go out for breakfast with my mom, aunt, grandmother, & sisters every friday and am finally adding in two slices of toast with my eggs & bacon. It doesn't cause cravings and is such a treat that I figure once a week won't hurt. ![]() |

I didn't track on the weekend. Stayed on plan with the exception of one ice cream cone. I woke up with a sore throat this morning, thought it was allergies until dd started with a fever
Now I feel like crap, didn't get a workout in at all. Food was really good - the only good thing about a cold is the lack of appetite. lol1400 cal, 19 net carbs 65% fat, 26% protein, 8% carbs B- hb egg, bacon L- 2 burger patties, mayo, tomato, avocado D- spinach salad w/ chicken S- iced coffee |

Maybe this cold finally knocked me into ketosis?
Even less of an appetite today. Seriously, I could have gone without anything all day. He got it at walmart- only $140 including tax! I'm feeling much better today, thank goodness. I'm still stuffed up but the fever and aches are gone. Still zero appetite, not that I'm complaining ![]() Zumba was tonight, I think the teacher knew she didn't work us hard enough last week cause she sure pushed us tonight! God knows I needed it after sitting on my butt the last few days. Today's totals: 1000 cal, 6 net carbs 44% fat, 47% pro, 6% carbs B- 3 slices bacon L- chicken breast D- chicken breast, avocado S- iced coffee |

I always have a hard time getting a run in when Brian's on afternoons. So, instead of a run he and I played tennis while the kids played in the park. We had a great afternoon and got to spend some quality time together. Later I found time to do the 30 day shred
1600 cal, 32 net carbs 67% fat, 22% pro, 11% carb B- 1.5 deviled eggs (couldn't finish the second one lol) L- salad w/ chicken breast D- meatloaf, mashed cauliflower S- strawberries w/hwc ![]() NEED to run tomorrow |

LOL Not much of a run today. I walked out the door and the heat & humidity hit me
I did 5k, but ran less than 15 min total and walked the rest. It must be all the gross phlem from my cold cause I felt like I was suffocating, and the heat really got to me. I skipped the shred today and did 20min of arm work, mostly with 10lb weights. Calories are way low again: 950cal, 31 net carbs 63% fat, 17% pro, 16% carbs B- 2 eggs, bacon, dark rye toast L- iced coffee D- salad w/chicken breast S- 1/4c hwc |

New recent low today! 194.4
186 will be vwl. Moving in the right direction! ![]() I sucked it up and did the shred today. I soooo didn't want to, it was a rainy day, I'm still feeling crappy and I could have spent the whole day on the couch. BUT I reminded myself that vacation is coming (4 weeks) and I need to tone up big time! Now that it's done, I'm glad I did it. ![]() I went shopping with the kids yesterday, hit up Old Navy- huge bargains! It was an extra 50% off clearance stuff, I got a workout shirt, socks, white jean capris, and a pink ruffle dress - all for $20 The socks were the most expensive thing but I needed them lol. Their sizes are so wonky though. I got a Lg in the dress, tried it on at home and it could have been a M. But then the capris were a tight 14 Not that I'm complaining ![]() Brian got halfway to work today and his car started smoking. He made it back home and tried to call in but they pressured him go in anyway. I feel bad for him - he's working all weekend and now has to spend the little bit of time he has off tomorrow fixing the car. Enough babble, today's totals: 1200cal, 26 carbs B- 1/4 cup HWC L- 2 italian sausages sauteed w/ onion red & green peppers D- Chicken breast, mashed cauli, 1/2 tomato S- nothing, may have another 1/4 c hwc if I'm hungry later 57% fat, 30% pro, 12% carbs Hope everyone has a great weekend! |

Old navy is the worst for sizes, I have mediums and I have XX from them, nuts but you can get good deals for sure and their workout clothing is my favorite for the price!

So Brian didn't have time to finish fixing the car today, so I was once again left without a car while he took the van to work
On the plus side, I got a ton of stuff done outside today. I'll finish tomorrow since I won't have a car then either. Speaking of Brian, his supervisor just refferred him for an opening in management. He even had him apply before the "official" posting went up. I did the shred again today - it was much harder than it has been. Maybe time for a day off? Oh yeah, major moment - I have biceps! lol All this arm work is really paying off. I can see a big difference in my shoulders too I've been teetering close to 200 for too long, now that I have my butt in gear it's nice to see these losses. VWL here I come! Today's totals: 1200 cal, 18 net carbs 55% fat, 31% pro, 10% carbs B- Atkin bar L- 2 devilled eggs D- leftover Chicken breast, mashed cauli S- iced coffee, strawberries w/ hwc ![]() |
