My family is so supportive, they just don't get my "all or nothing" mentality. Yes, it would be great to have one tiny slice of cake, but for me, it opens the floodgates and may lead to a three-day cake binge I try to look at it like, I can have that, but I'm choosing not to.
It was kinda funny though, my mom was telling everyone I *only* lost 30lbs. What she meant was that I look like I've lost double that, but everyone else jumped to my defence saying, 30lbs is a lot! When I said I have another fifty to go they just about died!

I just realized why the scale is up today: SF ice cream! I couldn't figure out why I had such bad cramps this morning That'll teach me!

I hit 40 lbs lost today!!!

I've been working on getting my Christmas decorations out. I`ve done quite a bit of redecorating in the last year, so I`ll have to tweak my usual decorations a bit to match.

Running has been pretty non-existant since we changed the clocks back. It gets dark at five pm so unless I can go out right when dh gets home from work it`s too dark. It`s cold out too now, right around freezing. I may have to face the fact that it`s pretty much over until spring

Congrats hun!!!!!!!!! 40 pounds is nothing to sneeze at!!! It is a battle and you are winning!!!!

I am with you all this dark and cold I am not liking running in this at all, so my thought is I break out C25K as I keep saying and start over on like week 4 or 5 and do it on the treadmill, as much as I hate running on the treadmill I know if I don't do it I will be even further behind come Spring.

*sigh* only another 47 to go... I still can't see being 135 lbs - that's where I need to have a "normal" BMI - I'd be a twig! I'm happy with how I'm eating & working out (well, not so much lately, but youknow) so I'll see where it takes me.

I went shopping at ON today, got dd a really cute winter coat ($20!!) I really want a pair of rockstar jeans so I can wear all my baggy sweaters without looking like a total frump, but they were $44. When I told the girl I'll wait for a sale, she told me they'd be going on for $20 in the next few weeks! It will be next week cause I have $10 in bonus bucks and a fifteen percent off coupon, so they'd be less than $10!!!

I also met DH at Home Depot and bought this wallpaper for our bathroom. AND I was feeling super energetic so I put it up when we got home! It's a fairly loud print, so I only did up to a chair rail but I'm quite pleased with it - way better than our blah white walls.

I love Old Navy they have great sales so while you are losing it is good to get stuff that will shrink with you! My 14's are baggy I cant believe I could wear a 12 but I might go try them on!!!!

That wall paper is cool, man you are ambitious!!!! I hate painting and wall paper, ughghg!!!

I painting. Instant gratification! It's nothing for DH to come home from work & find a new colour on the walls, or another piece of furniture repainted. Poor guy never know what he'll come home to! LOL I love the shabby chic look, and have done most of my house in antiqued white. I did my vintage dining set a few weeks ago - I'll put up a few pics once I get my Christmas decorating done.

I did my whole house when I bought it and I said never again, well you know how I am, too much concentration and caffeine hands, LOL But I did paint again and now our kitchen ceiling needs to be painted, so I guess that will get done, LOL

TOM is here, I'm staying far from the scale until I get over this bloat! SF ice cream last night didn't help either I'm sure.
So my mom just told me she's taking me shopping state-side for my bday! Dots - here I come! Oh, and Olive Garden, you better hide your breadsticks, cause I'm hittin you up too! LOL She had to tell me now b/c she was afraid I'd go before then, we'll probably go next week. Can you tell I'm excited? To make it even better, this will be the first time I can look at reg sizes, and not plus!!!

No they are not made well, but like my boots from there I wear them for going out so its all about looks, LOL At least that is a platform, so you will look sexy and still be able to walk!!!

I finally went for a run this morning, well half run/ half walk. I bet it's been 2 weeks since I went last I don't want to give it up for cold weather - how else would I get me time??? Someone told me our new arena has an indoor walking track, so as much as I hate running around people, I might have to give it a try. The last thing I want is to become a couch potato this winter and have to start all over again. It was really hard after just a small break, image how bad it would be if I stopped for the winter! That's it. If I go for over a week again without a run PLEASE kick my butt into gear.

I know I hate running, it has been 2 weeks I take off then have to keep going back, the treadmill scares me to death so I need to suck it up and go run outside like a woman and quit being so whimpy!

I found time for a run today - a bit short (4k- 30min) but at least I got it in. I've noticed my iron getting really low lately, so I think that may be having an affect on my energy levels. I started taking an iron supplement a few days ago, and today is the first day my fingers aren't completely black from my gold rings, so I think it's working.

Enough complaining...tomorrow I'm going bday shopping!!! I'm totally cheating with olive garden soup, salad & breadsticks. As if I wasn't excited enough, Dots just sent me a coupon for 30 percent off everything! Good thing too, cause mama needs new clothes BAD!!! I literally only have one pair of pants that fit - and they're too short & need a belt.

Thanks My real bday isn't until the 29th, but we couldn't go next week, so I got my gift early! Actually, mom & I went shopping and Dad met us for dinner at the Olive Garden. OMG I swear I ate an entire bread basket myself! It was heavenly Shopping was great- a whole day with no kids! LOL I spent a total of $100: Two pairs of jeans, one pair of black jeggings, a sweater, a sweater dress, a black dressy coat, a pair of booties, and a scarf for my SIL and sister who watched my kids. I haven't had time to take pics, maybe I'll get some posted as I wear them....
The best part by far was not even entering the plus side. One of my new jeans are a size 11!!! (the other is a 15, just to show the inconsistancy between sizes) I tried to buy stuff a bit on the small size so they'll fit for a while, or at least through spring.

I think this weekend will be pretty dangerous. I have a bridal shower, then my bday get together with family. DH is making a double-chocolate-pb-ganache-cheesecake for the party. Lord, I hope there are no leftovers!

Also, I was easily able to fit into all their boots, no problem. Some were actually too wide! I guess I've just been shopping in all the wrong places. Although the quality really isn't great- the heel snapped off one pair when I tried it on! Sooo glad I didn't but them it's way too far to return them.

181.4 - Breadstick weight is gone!

My sister told me she wants to start running, but it's so hard to fit it in during daylight hours. So we're going to try going together at the track. That way we won't have to do it alone in the dark and hopefully we'll keep each other on track. I hope I'm going to like it okay - I prefer to run alone - but since that's not happening as often as it should, keeping on track is much more important.

So we went to the track last night, for about 30 min. I took it pretty easy and ran just over six laps in spite of my cold. Ugh. My lungs burned when I was done - not sure if it's from not feeling well, or the cold air, or both. I was nervous about how I would like going with someone else, but I really enjoyed it. We walked a warm-up lap together, then started running and separated. My SIL (well, not IL yet but we're hoping ) wants to start coming too, and my mom mentioned it as well, so we may have a huge group going soon. If we have to we can even bring the kids and just have them play in the center while we run. I think this will help keep me accountable....cool weather is sucking all motivation right out of me!

We're supposed to go running again today, we'll see how it plays out. It's a really busy weekend around here again, and the Santa Parade is tonight.

Can I just say DH is a sweetheart? After working an extra midnight shift last night, he went to ON and stood in line for 1/2 hr just to pick up some sale stuff for xmas gifts! They had a promo that if you spent $40, you got a free digital camera but of course, by the time he got to the checkout they were sold out I wanted to go myself, but I would have had to leave at about six am and drag the kids along. He did get some great deals, spent about fifty and got a hoodie, two fleece shirts and a star wars tee for DS. The kicker, is he bought stuff for me and refused to save it for xmas! He called it an early bday gift

Oh hun, what a sweet hubby, he is so proud of you!!! They did have some killer sales, just so you know their active wear pants the compression ones are really nice, I wait til they go on sale, but I love them for running, I put the fleece tops and pants on after the gym to lounge around in they are so soft!!! I love their fleece!!!!
