I thought I posted about the gym, but I don't see it here.

I had a great workout Wednesday night. Yesterday I could feel it in my arms, last night and today I can feel it in my legs. I've always loved that sore feeling. I had hoped to go to the gym tonight, but they close earlier than usual (at 8) and my husband has to work late. I am going tomorrow afternoon instead. I want to get to the gym at least 3 times a week. Ideally more, but 3x is the minimum.

I went to the store yesterday and bought eggs, chicken and ground beef. I also found a local BBQ sauce that is lower carb than most others on the market! I'm going to use a tiny bit to make BBQ chicken this weekend.

We have a busy weekend planned, and we will be having lunch with my MIL on Sunday. That will be a bit of a challenge, but I will figure something out.

July is my month!

DH doesn't have to work late. He just texted me and said he will leave at 5 so I can go to the gym tonight! I really wanted to go tonight, so I'm glad things worked out this way.

Have a great day, Stephanie! I can't stand the muscle hurt-- I played football with my family last Sunday and my arm was aching and useless for FOUR days!! Let me tell you, it was a challenge to make beds with only one arm.

Angela - Too sore to make the bad doesn't sound good! I don't think I would like that much soreness.

I went to the gym again today. I think I might love that place. I think I can already tell I have more definition in my arms!

I've just given up on trying to eat right until Tuesday. Not the best course of action, but I just didn't have the willpower to get through the holiday weekend. At least I am working out and not sitting on the couch and eating crap.

Amber - I think the gym is going to make a huge difference! I can't believe how much I like it! I've had gym memberships in the past and never wanted to go like I do now. I guess I'm just finally ready for it.

Ugh I feel sick to my stomach and I want chocolate. De-toxing from carbs sucks. Note to self - this is why you shouldn't eat carbage in the first place!

Thanks Christine! I feel better today.

I think I am having the world's worst PMS and that is part of the problem.

I have chicken baking in the oven, and I'm heading to the gym when my husband gets home, so it's a good afternoon.

Amber - Do you notice weight lifting/working out is harder during that time of the month? Nearly all of the weight stuff I did tonight seemed harder and I'm more sore. BUT I DID IT!

Well I dont really get a TOM, I have an IUD and never get a period untli lately again I am bleeding and spotting like constantly. One thing I notice if you are not hydrated or have not eaten before it is really hard, workouts vary, not as much as the running, but some nights I am all gung ho pushing stuff like crazy other nights more of a struggle, I started eating a few extra carbs before the gym cause the trainer kills me, but prior I made sure I drank a lot and ate a little something before hand. DOnt work out on an empty stomach, when I go early on the weekend I make sure I drink at least 60 ounces of water before I go.

Hi Amber! I didn't realize a week had passed! Thanks for checking in on me. I'm still here and around the boards, I just haven't paid any attention to my own journal.

I have been going to the gym, I'm going about 3 times a week. My son is signed up for his first stay in the nursery on Monday. I'm sure that will go well, and I'm hoping to use the nursery at least two times a week and go to the gym in the evenings or on the weekend 2 times, for a total of 4 times a week.

Eating is difficult right now, and I'm pissed at myself that I can't seem to get my groove back. I don't know if it's because it is so ridiculously hot or what. I have my house stocked with LC friendly food, but I don't want any of it.

I went out today and bought a few salad ingredients, maybe a cool salad will be more appealing to me?

Well it takes a while to get your groove back, honestly try not to cheat in the beginning for awhile and see some good losses, salads are super, have hubby grill a bunch of meat and then easy peasy make a salad and done!

I am so glad you are liking the gym!!!!

Thanks girls!

I just keep on trying, one day I'll get back in the groove, right?
I've even picked out some makeup I want to buy as a reward when I make it to 7 days in a row on plan.

I'm going to start logging everything again today. I have cooked chicken and steak tips in the fridge for today, so plenty of on-plan food is available. I just have to DO IT!

Say you are going to do it and you will!!!! It will happen!!! You got down to 274 and now you are up 5 pounds, was anything that you ate worth the 5 pounds of heartache of doing it again? Probably not!

One thing that helps me is trying to look at food as fuel, rather than yummy stuff, now don't get me wrong I have my moments of weakness, but you really have to change the way you look at food. Like for me food was comfort, it was social, etc, it was for happy times, sad times, basically all the time, now its a just a meal to fuel my body, and I try not to do too many social things that involve food, the parties get me. Restaurant food has lots of hidden carbs and its expensive eating out, I would rather buy some good filets and shrimp or something.

But the thing is once you see some good losses you will want to keep sticking with it!

I think the makeup is a great reward!!!! I always had mini victories at each new decade, like 269 is your next decade. Look at the loss in 10 pound increments rather than 100 pounds to lose, that helps too, focus on 10 at a time!!!

I am going to be on you young girls like white on rice, I hate that I waited so long, I want you girls to enjoy your thin active bodies, and live and do all that you want in life!!!! It is such a huge feeling of accomplishment getting the weight off.

Amber - I love that you are going to keep on us! I want to be as active and hot as you are!

You are right, I just have to DO IT. I'm the one making the decisions, I'm the one putting the food in my face. No one else has any control over it, and it's ridiculous to let food control me. Food is just food, and you are right, it's really just fuel, and why should I feed my body crap fuel? I put premium gas in my little vroom vroom car, but I put crap in me! That doesn't make any sense. I've got to change my mindset! STARTING NOW!

Today has been MUCH better. I even stayed on track at my Mom's house and ate 1.5 hot dogs even when she said "That's all?" over and over again. I'm going to the gym as soon as my husband gets home. So far I've had 70 ounces of water today. And now I KNOW I was dehydrated. I drank a cup of coffee and 35 ounces of water before I ever had to pee today! I've been peeing ever since of course, but obviously my body needed to put that water somewhere.

Sorry, I know I'm rambling, but I am determined!

You are so right! I agonize over what I am feeding him and making sure he is eating good, wholesome food and making sure he gets enough veggies and not junk. I need to treat myself the same!

The gym was awesome last night! I worked out for an hour and my arms and legs were shaking when I left. I came home and fell asleep on the couch. When I came in my husband said "Did you have a good workout? Because you look tired so it must have been a good workout" I slept like a log last night too.

I don't usually go to the gym on Thursdays, and it was an entirely different crowd. I was the only overweight person in the entire building, as far as I could see, and there were a lot of men doing very serious weight lifting. I was the only woman working with the weight equipment. I'm glad I usually go Mon-Wed-Fri. I see a lot of the same faces and there are some other people shaped like me then.

I'm going to have another great day today! I hope everyone else does too.

Exactly! I just did my thing and tried not to worry about it. I'll be going to the gym tomorrow. I've never been on a Saturday, so I'm curious to see who will be there.

I am having a great day! 100% on plan, and lots of exercise earlier walking around downtown. I feel good today, even the muscles that are complaining from last night feel good. I was talking to some friends today about planning for my son's 2nd birthday party in November, and I'm going to be THIN then!
