Oh Laura that is a great thing, I so want to do like boxing or kick boxing but I dont want to fight, I just want the exercise, and every place around here has that MMA and fighting crap, I aint taking no punches to my face, I would be bawling, but doesn't it feel good to pound the **** out of the bag? I freaking love it, Tony is getting hand pads, I was tearing into his hands the other night, and he was like holy crap you learned to punch like a dude not a girl, LOL I am loving my trainer adding the bag punches and kicks to my workouts with her, it is so damn satisfying!

Yeah, Amber I think I mentioned that my son does MMA. At the Russian gym they have this thing it's like a padded costume that makes you look like a punching bag and they have to take turns wearing in and running around getting punched. It looks so funny. But the person doing the punching gets the real workout because they are punching and chasing the bag. I don't know who thought that up but it's pretty crazy!!

So one of my cats decided to puke under the punching bag and I just did my whole workout without realizing it, jumping around in cat puke.

My sneakers are now soaking in the tub.

The basement floor is always a little slippery and I was wearing boxing gloves and headphones and just sort of zoned out. I'm kind of glad I didn't notice because I would have stopped my workout.

Well, my scale is slowly inching down but it feels like it's taking forever to see movement. I'm trying to be patient but I'm not very good at it.

The kettlebells are brutal but I'm sticking with them. I want this to be the summer I'm not afraid to wear sleeveless tops!

Last year at our PTA fundraiser I won a trip to a B&B and this weekend DH and I are finally going! His sister is coming to stay at our house and watch DD for the whole weekend and the place is only about 40 minutes away, so this is an ideal getaway for us. We looked at the rooms online and they are gorgeous and each one has a fireplace. It also has a winery attached and we have a complimentary wine tasting as part of the prize. I'm going to be really good this week because I am drinking some wine next weekend.

Thanks, Amber. I know you can related to trying to keep your relationship going when you have a small child. We never have any time alone and it's really frustrating, so this weekend is just going to be some much needed "us time."

Speaking of never being alone, yesterday I let DD have a friend over since they had the day off from school and I was off too. I gave them lunch and told them to play in the playroom while I went down to workout. I get on the elliptical and do 3 minutes before I heard "Mommm!!!" So I go upstairs and they want the Smurf movie turned on. Back downstairs and do 5 more minutes and I hear her friend calling. I go up and she says she's really afraid of our cat. WTH? The cat is so fat and so immobile he couldn't hurt a fly. He's just laying there on the couch and she's almost crying. I gave them sugar free gum and go back downstairs. Now I don't give a **** about the elliptical anymore so I pick up my kettlebells and a few minutes later the girls start jumping on my bed! That was it for my workout, which turned out to be a good idea because they ended up locking themselves in a closet a little while later. OMG, I was so glad they had school today!!

I did kettlebells again today and I think I will do my boxing again tomorrow. DH thinks its funny that I like the boxing but it is kind of fun. I guess I'm in some kind of exercise experimentation phase at the moment, which for me is a really good thing.

LOL OMG too funny about the fat cat!!!!
Laura- I agree you have to try different thing til you find something that makes you giddy and you cant wait to go, for me it changes, right now it is still lifting first, and then the yoga, I never thought I would like yoga, and I never thought it was a workout, until I started doing it, the thing is we gotta do something forever or we will never lose weight and we will end up on a walker or something, I want to be retired and laying on the beach man, I dont want my oxygen tank and wheelchair there, so keep exploring til you find what you love!

I'm getting so excited about our trip to the B&B this weekend. DH has a cold but I told him he better pop those vitamin Cs and some zinc and perk up because we are having a good time no matter what.

Amber, I want to be the retired old lady on the beach too. Sitting on the beach reading and looking out at the water--those are my favorite relaxation things and I never get enough of it.

Did anyone watch American Idol last night? Steven Tyler is getting scarier looking by the minute. Did they pay those girls to fawn all over him and say he was hot?? Yikes, he looks like a deranged marionette with his sunken cheeks and man makeup.

It's been a good week so far and I've stayed on plan and been doing my exercise. Today I'm doing my elliptical at lunch. I feel like I've lost a few pounds. It's funny how you get the feeling and you just know something is going on. I refuse to weigh though because sometimes I don't see the loss for a few days and I don't want to be disappointed. Hopefully Monday will be a good weigh in with the badgers!

Yeah he is scary looking but I admit I like him, he is cool in a weird way but so not hot, LOL I think the girls are just amazed at him being an Icon! What i did love was the guy that looked like Ryan Seacrest? OMG that was funny!! And the guy that Randy voted off and they went and found those kids that said he could sing?? That was funny! Lot of good peeps last night though, man some of those kids could sing and the young ones 15 and 16 years old, I like the tent girl, I am routing for her, I was like come on Jlo giver her some money for an apartment, LOL

Oh you better get hubby better I have a feeling WriterMom has plans, and they sound like they might be dirty!!!!!!!!!!! He must get well for the trip!!!!

I picked up some cheese, berries and chicken salad for our dinner tonight when we get to the B&B. It's supposed to snow tomorrow so I think we will be chilling by the fireplace reading and relaxing. We had babysitter drama this morning when DH told me his sister was going into the city today and won't be here until after 6. We're supposed to check in BY 6 PM. She always has to screw up people's plans but I'm not worrying about it because this is my weekend and I am going to enjoy it.

I found out yesterday that the mom of one of DDs friends has breast cancer. She's having a mastectomy next week so I offered to make dinner for them one night. This woman has 6 kids and is the most organized person you have ever met. When I got home from finding this out, there was a message on my voicemail that I'm overdue for my mammogram. How weird is that? I am making my appointment today. Please friends, get your mammos too!!!

Laura- I know the big storm is coming, you are so lucky to be snowed in with your hubby in a romantic place, go and enjoy every minute! Just get there quick before the snow starts flying!

I know I am due this month too for my mammo, how scary for her, she will get through it though I am sure with 6 kids she is tough!

We had a FABULOUS time at the B&B and the winery this weekend. We woke up to snow on Saturday and it was beautiful. Since we had arrived in the dark we didn't really see much of the property but in the morning we could look out from our room and see dozens of horses in the snow and the vinyard in the distance.

The innkeeper was lovely and made us breakfast each day. Poached eggs, bacon and sausage plus these beautiful wineglasses filled with fruit. It was heaven. We had a free wine tasting at the winery but to be honest, the wine was pretty crappy. Trust me, this gal does not go around throwing wine down the drain, but I dumped two glasses because I could barely swallow it. I think this is probably why New Jersey is not known as wine country!

I'm up 2 pounds today, which is actually not as bad as I expected since I had all that fruit, wine and no exercise for 2 days. I'm still doing JUDDD and today is a DD after 3 UDs and I'm looking forward to it.

Laura it was the perfect wintery weekend to be away and be someplace romantic!!! I am glad you enjoyed it and had fun, you were suppose to be getting under the sheets workouts, LOL PA has some good wine, the sweeter wines, some are yuk!!!!!! Yes it is bad when you toss down wine, I really miss wine, I love it!

Back on track this week and you will get that bloat off and you know how it is, after a little splurge you usually lose more!

Yesterday was the best on-plan day I've had in while. I was Honey Badger tough and it paid off. I think most of my weekend bloat is gone and I'm feeling a little proud of myself.

Today is a busy day, but it's also a UD, so I'm feeling pretty confident. I'm still testing the JUDDD waters to see if I can do this long term, but I'm feeling really good about it at the moment.

Yesterday was an awful day. My friend had her breast surgery and everything went well. she is doing great. I was just feeling so sad for her all day and for all the women who have to wake up and have their breast gone. It must be such a devastating thing and I tear up every time I think about it.

It was also a DD on JUDDD and it went pretty bad. In the mid afternoon I was got very nauseous and felt weak so I ate more than I had planned on, but I kept it low carb. After dinner, the same thing happened. I had some tea and a low carb cracker with PB. Then right before bed, it happened again. I don't think it was a stomach virus because I feel fine today. The bottom line though is I went over my calories by at least 350 and still felt like crap.

I'm taking a turn this weekend making dinner for my friends' kids and her husband while she recovers. Six kids to feed!! They like pork chops so I think I'm gonna do some in the crockpot and give them rice and applesauce with it. I'm getting my haircut and taking DD to a pool party the same day, so thank god for the crockpot or I don't know what I would do! I can't imagine how she feeds all those kids every day.

Oh Laura I know it is sad and cooking dinner for someone like her and her family is the best thing you can do for her, can you imagine? I hate the chore of cooking for the 3 of us, the menus the planning, I cannot imagine 6 kids good lord the grocery bills! I think it was your nerves, the worry, and a DD, that can just plain freak you out, plus you are eating what 500 calories that has got to give you wonky blood sugar?? I hope you feel better today we have to thank God for our health! We are up and around and able to chose our day's events!

Laura, you are a good friend

Can I ask what your numbers look like on JUDDD? I don't do well at 500 on my DDs, I need to stay closer to 700cals. Also, lots of lean protein rather than veggies makes me feel better too.
