Thanks for the reminder about the water! It's about 4:30 and I've had 40+ ounces so far. Have to keep drinking, have to keep drinking...

The new cat is doing good. Now he and my other cat can be in the same room together without too much growling or hissing. I just knew this one would be a good fit for us. DD loves him and he is nicer to her than our other cat ever is, so that makes me really happy. He even slept on her bed for a while last night and then jumped up and snuggled with her when I went to wake her up this morning.

I had a good food day yesterday.

Breakfast: already posted that
Lunch: I was in a hurry and had a microwaved turkey dog and some string cheese.
Snack: Some lettuce leaves with onion dip, 5 or 6 lc crackers.
Dinner: Leftover steak and green beans with garlic and bacon.

I found these crackers in my A&P called Mary's Gone Crackers. They are flax seed, quinoa, rice seed and sesame. 1.4 carbs each. Really good when I need something crunchy.

So far today I've had an omelet with cheese and tomato for breakfast and a salad with more of the leftover steak for lunch.

I'll be back tomorrow. Have a good night!

That is great about the cat it is nice when you get a snuggler, my crazy cats all love Tony now, I am chopped liver, LOL They are screaming in the morning cause he gives them treats, then they both circle him waiting for him to drop his hand to pet them, LOL I said if only you had as much luck attracting women, LOL

Well keep drinking and maybe that old scale will give you a good number this week!

It feels so good to be back in control of my eating again. I think I must be back in ketosis because I'm not craving anything and am eating what I plan to eat rather than changing my mind at the last minute. I haven't been this in control in a few months.

I just did some online shopping for my nieces and nephews--11 of them! My sister and I are going to talk to the family this year and try to get everyone to agree to a secret santa thing for next year. It just gets so out of hand trying to buy for everyone, especially when you have teenagers who want gift cards, they really add up.

Last night I made pork with sauerkraut in the crockpot, which we all love around here. Happy faces and "thank yous" from around the table really make it so worthwhile especially when I've been finding it hard to plan out dinner menus with all the work, school, pre-Christmas craziness that goes on this time of year.

Still on plan and feeling good today. But I woke up really hungry so I had two HB eggs, some smoked salmon and 2 pieces of bacon. So far, so good.

Yesterday I managed to not snack all day and drank almost 80 ounces of water. I'm not up to 100 yet, but I'll keep trying.

I ate:
Breakfast: 3 egg white omelet with cheese and tomato, slice of porkroll
Lunch: 1 can of tuna in oil mixed with italian seasoning, 6 lc crackers, celery sticks
Dinner: leftover pork and sauerkraut, roasted brussel sprouts and tomato

Dinner was really good and DH even said he loved it. But then he did his annoying thing again where he got up and got the saltines and PB, sat down and ate about a dozen right in front of me and DD. He does this all the time and it really makes me mad. When I told him later I thought it was rude he said he didn't mean it that way and dinner was delicious but he was still hungry. Sometimes I can excuse his behavior because he grew up in such a dysfunctional family where no one even ate together but I think it's such a bad example for our daughter because then she wants PB crackers too and she doesn't need them!

I'm feeling very behind on my Christmas shopping. I was up late last night on LL Bean and Amazon. Both my parents and DH's parents have me buy stuff for DD for them to give her and then they reimburse me but it's alot of extra shopping for me that I'm realizing I don't really have time for.

Lady from the SPCA called to check on Simba last night. She was really happy to hear how well he's doing and gave me a coupon code for a free checkup for him at the same vet we always go to, so that was really nice and will save us a few bucks too.

Well, on with the work day!

I had a cat named Simba too, I loved Lion King, LOL

Sounds like he is doing well!

Dnt get me started on the skinny husbands eating, like OK I know he has turbocharged metabolism, but he is always eating it drives me nuts, mainly cause I know I cant eat and never will be able to eat like him, but especially when he gets out the tortilla chips or pretzels, and the peanuts, Gosh, right after dinner, he is one of those people that cant eat a lot in one sitting so is always grazing, and candy, I swear to God, I cant believe they still have Halloween candy, if I had been eating it, it would have been gone 11/3,. LOL

11 is too many to buy for, we have 5 kids in the family we buy for all 5 kids, and then do a $10 fun gift swap for the adults, saved us some money, CHristmas is a nightmare, it adds up!

Woo-hoo!! I am back on track.

I weigh on Sundays and yesterday I was down 3 pounds since last week.

There is so much stuff going on this week: Brownie troop party, nephew's Christmas show and my work party. I will be going into Manhattan on Friday for our office party. Should be fun!

Yesterday I ate:
B: 2 scrambled eggs and bacon
L: grilled cheese on lc wrap
D: turkey sausage with cauliflower and salad

We did all our outside and inside Christmas decorating this weekend and the house looks great. The only problem was after we finished decorating our tree it fell down. Poor DD was alone in the room when it happened and she was so scared. Fortunately she wasn't hurt and the cats were not in the room so it wasn't too disastrous.

Alot of our ornaments broke but not my 2 favorites which belonged to my grandparents. I can't tell you how overjoyed I was when I saw them unbroken on the floor! We had decorated the tree all afternoon and DH kept putting more and more on it. I think we just overloaded it way too much. When we get a new stand we are putting only a fraction of the decorations back on.

Good morning, Laura! I am so sorry about your tree! That happened to us one year-- we now own a GIGANTIC industrial sized tree stand! We could put the Rockerfeller tree in there!

Your food sounds awesome! Here's to continued success!!

Amber, that was so sweet of Bobby! Sometimes our kids really can be our best supporters. My daughter likes to tell people, "Just so you know, my mom does NOT eat sugar!" LOL!

Our work party was fun. They had it here:
Sutton Place,Sports Bars NYC,Sports Bars Midtown,NYC Sports Bars,Sports Bars New York City,Best Sports Bars NYC

It was a buffet and I had sliced turkey with salad and ranch dressing. I had a few pieces of fried calamari too, which was really good. Our boss' assistant is hilarious and she organized the Secret Santa thing and made it really funny for everyone.

I have so much freaking wrapping to do! I want to start it but DD is constantly underfoot. I'm only working Monday and Tuesday though so I will have to tackle most of it Wednesday and Thursday when she's in school. I can't believe Christmas is a week from tomorrow!

Have a nice weekend ladies! We're off to my sister's for dinner. Her in-laws are down from Boston for an early Christmas celebration.

I'm sick today--blah! I went to bed early last night trying to head off this cold but woke up with a froggy voice and sore throat. I've been fighting the urge to sleep all day since I've got a ton of work to do.

Fortunately, tomorrow is my last day of work until after Christmas, so I should have downtime to rest up before this weekend.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks all! I'm still a Snuffalupagus today but I must be in deep ketosis because it's 3:30 and all I've had to eat today is 3 pieces of bacon. I was 185.5 this morning. Last Christmas I was 182 so maybe I just might make it back there by Sunday. That would be a great Christmas present!

Okay, back to my hot tea and tissues.

"Ooops, I did it again..."

I weighed myself again, which I usually don't do and I was 185.6 this morning. Oh yeah!

Still sick, which sucks because I have alot of wrapping to do and just don't have the energy to do it. I also will have to skip DDs dance observation today because I'm just too snuffly and coughy and I'm afraid the other moms might kill me if I walk in there all sick just days before Christmas. My husband is going though, so at least she will have someone there for her. I took the day off and everything to go.

Oh well, I'm going to try to at least finish my Christmas cards so I can get them out today.
