Well, the weekend is here and it's going to be a doozy. Scout party tonight, little league canning tomorrow morning, birthday party for my mom, dance recital, dance recital part 2 and DH's birthday. So, for the next 48 hours I have virtually no free time. Unreal.

My weight is holding steady, which considering how crazy my schedule has been lately is a good thing. I've skipped lunch twice this week and dinner once, which resulted in snacking, but I kept it as healthy as possible by sticking with fruit, popcorn and Special K.

I hope everyone has a calmer and more relaxing weekend than me.

Hey Laura- I saw you mentioned somewhere about your cholesterol, are you doing stuff to watch it? Tony's was 240, and his blood sugar was high, so I have him eating oatmeal and that smart balance with plant sterols and he is taking fish oils, he has to try it through diet for several months and then see if it goes down, I feel bad that maybe my low carb meat diet affected him, but his Mom has high cholesterol too, he is really freaked about it, just wondered if yours was retested after dietary changes?

I had that guilt for a bit too with DH. Still not sure....he eats what I eat, but trims his fat, no CO, etc. and eats carbs...GF, but still carbs.

It really is funny how we all process things differently, I seem to thrive on fat he doesnt, funny thing.

It's sad to have to say I'm glad the weekend is over, but I really am. It was a non-stop 3 days of prom, scouts, mom's birthday and recital. Everything went great though. The party was fantastic and my mom was really happy so many people showed up. And recital was great too. DD has come so far with her dancing. We were so proud of her. She had this big smile on her face every time she went on stage. I could never have done that at her age!

My weight is holding steady--no loss and no gain this week. Given how crazy things have been with my schedule I'm not complaining.

Today is my DH's birthday and he wants to go out for a quiet dinner just the 3 of us. Sounds like a plan!

Amber, I was driving DD to school and realized I never addressed the cholesterol thing. My LDL was over 250 in April but my HDL was in the high 80s, so that's why my doc is giving me 3 months to get it down with diet alone. High cholesterol doesn't run in my family but the high HDL runs on my dad's side. We all have abnormally high HDL, which is supposed to be protective.

I've been feeling really good on WW and losing weight so hopefully by July when I go back my cholesterol will be fine. I've never had high cholesterol before so I think maybe doing half-assed low carb with too much fat is what did it. I am realizing that I have to really restrict my calories in order to lose regularly.

I'm realizing this time around that calories do matter for me to lose. I know that the popular "calories in calories out" thing is totally bunk. But when I eat less, I lose more. I hope that you can avoid the rx for your cholesterol.

So I peaked at the scale again and I'm down another pound. That's 11 so far since starting WW PP.

Did a long walk this morning at the park. It was glorious and there were so many butterflies out and about! Last summer when we went to Hershey we went to the gardens, which I had never been to before. They have a butterfly house there and it was so awesome. If I were filthy rich I'd have a manor house on a big estate and have my own butterfly house where I would drink tea and look at my butterflies for hours and tell my friends "Dahling, you must come see the butterflies this year." I would also dress like Mrs. Howell from Gilligan's Island and fan myself alot.

But, the reality is I am a softball mom. Tonight I have to fire up the mom car and drive DD and 2 of her friends to an "away" game. I hate these stupid away games. These kids are too young. By the time we get home it's so late and she is hungry and tired and still has to do homework.

Oh well, the weekend is almost here!

I'm popping back in today to report an incredible event. My engagement ring has been literally stuck on my pudgy finger for like over a year. I mean really stuck as in there was no way it was coming off without a hacksaw. Just now at my desk I felt my ring spinning on my finger and sure enough I tugged and it came right off! I'm so excited to be losing my pudgy sausage digits. Wooot!!

Good morning friends!

After the craziness of last weekend I finally got a nice quiet one. DD had her last softball game and then we planted some flowers in the yard. Yesterday we hit the beach for the first time this year and then came home and barbequed. Being on a losing streak with my weight is definitely helping my confidence because I didn't feel uncomfortable at all in my bathing suit. My legs are thinning out for sure because my usual chub rub was nonexistent.

I'm still rocking the points and the pedometer. Total loss now is 12.4 pounds.

My company is doing the yacht lunch again this year so we having that on Friday. Now I have to pick out my very best Mrs. Howell outfit to wear on my yacht.
