I go to the extremes only! Never a happy medium. I'm either starved or too full!

Morning Meek!! well girls the solution for the scale being up is not to know about it..... ok ok, not a GOOD solution, but once we get our heads into this thing and stay true to it, the SCALE will go down!...

Have a great day!

ok, just now recovering from lack of sleep and lots of happy parties and fun!...

So now, back to my plan.. I adopted more of a JUDDD style eating with LOW CARB, ATKINS as my food of choice.

What I am doing is sorta like I was back when doing P2ish eating. I am keeping my carbs low.. alternating my cals and I have lost 8.5 pounds in a week!.. SO HAPPY!!!..

Of course those were pounds I had already lost and regained, but at least they are back off again...

My body seems to really respond to alternating cals.. I knew it worked for me before, but I tried to go too low on my down days. I found I cannot do that and stick to plan.. SO, I up my cals on my down days to around 1000 or so low carb cals, with lots of low carb low cal veges... some nice leanish meat and carb master yogurt. ( KINDA LIKE the 17DD which I also love )

THEN on my UP days... I have my fatty meats, my veges if I want.. a few more carbs .. I go up to around 35-40 carbs on my up days and just really enjoy having what I miss. My cals end up around 1800ish. sometimes more, sometimes less.

THIS makes it so much easier for me to stick to the down days and being more strict. Like I said in one of these journals, I know I can have it tomorrow If I really want it, so my low days are easy.

One week down, happy me. Let me see what shall I call this? LOWCARB17DDJUDDD.. righttttttt......

Morning Ladies!

WOW Deb 8.5lbs in one week is freaking impressive! WTG YOU!!!!
I will have you know that you are one of my biggest inspirations!

My update? I'm at my lowest I have been in YEARS!!! Even when doing P2 and the best part? I'm EATING YUMMO FOODS!

I think what's working for me is that I am not overeating (even if it's atkins friendly). I am also doing what you do Deb. After say the weekend (which you guys know have been bad) I go to eating low carb but low fat as well (NOT NO FAT just lower). I do that for one day then the next day I go full fat. It's actually working better than ANYTHING! That and I exercised all week last week. 3 zumba classes and weigh lifting every other day. I will continue this way til I need to jolt things up again!

I'm happy for you Deb (and for me too!!! yyiipppiiee)

Good morning Deb and Pati!

Deb, wow!! That's incredible!! I've just now begun JUDDD myself after looking at Gracie's stats and am amazed so far how much I'm liking it. I was wondering about adding carbs too, right now I'm just sticking with low carb and the ketosis effect is helping me eat less. However after reading the JUDDD thread I see people eating higher carbs and losing! I'm on the fence but keeping it low(er) carb for now.

Pati~that's great hun!! Congrats on being the lowest in years!!

WOW Pati!!! that is fantastic!!!! YEAH FOR YOU!... I tell you what, you are an inspiration also! I really really need to get exercise back into my routine. I admit I am hit and miss there and I know I would FEEL better if I did it more often, in some kind of routine. SO HAPPY FOR YOU GIRL!

I know! that JUDDD thread is real motivation for sure!!.. I find that even getting my carbs up does not hurt me when I follow with a low day. I most likely will enjoy losing so much that I will eventually lower my low days to more in line with what JUDDD recommends.

SO go for it SHARI!!.. so excited to see how you do as you continue on. You did great getting those pounds off too!.. YEAH ALL OF US!..

LOL, you just beat me to it Deb! Also Pati you can go to the (Johnson Up Day Down Day)website where it explains the science behind it..it revs up your metabolism and you don't have to stick with low carb for success.

Haha Pati, I just started Saturday so can't really say what a full week looks like.
Saturday I started as a down day but ate a bit too many cals, net 700+ ( I exercise so subtract what I burn from calorie totals), I had wings (home) and sausage. On Sunday, it was an up day so had pizza hut wings w/ blue cheese dresssing and bacon..a lot of everything LOL so I was over my 2000 cal range but netted a little over 2000 cals for the day. Today, down day..have 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, tuna salad w/ mayo for lunch and probably dinner.

I'm doing low carb but if you keep reading, you'll see people are eating regular higher carb meals and still losing very well. I may venture over sooner than later to give it a try...

Yep, what Shari said! My week was mostly low carb, lower cal every other day. On my up days I just had fattier meats and more food. I may get brave and try to fit more carbs in, but right now I skeered it will make me hungry on my down days.

I averaged around 900 most down days, some higher than 1000 some lower. I haven't really dug into the science part yet, but I read it before, so I know how it works. I just don't care for the really low cals on the down days. I COULD do better I think, if I went by what they tell me is a good range. So far though, it is working and I won't tweak until it does not work.

READ Pati dear, lots of good info!!... I am REALLY enjoying this plan. I can't really call what I do JUDDD because I am tweaking, but it is in line with the idea of it.

So how is everyone doing today?!?!

I am still doing wonderful. Wearing too big for me jeans (NOT COMPLAINING! ) Funny thing is my sister and my niece are losing too so we are swapping clothes. Actually mine is the biggest so I'm just putting it away. I get my sister's who is one size smaller than me (always has been) and then she is fitting her daughter's jeans and her daughter is the lucky dog getting new stuff!

Hope you all had a "candy free" Halloween!!!
