Those were my tight jeans at 282... wow... I never thought they were that big! Do we ever see ourselves as we really are? .. I did not.

Thanks for the compliment on my daughter... she is much more brave than her momma though, off to the big city for her masters degree, never having been there before... yikes! Oh well.. I wish her the best and will try not to worry too much..

Good morning Deb and friends!

Deb, those pants tell the truth! Wowza!!

I didn't see myself for how I really looked either. It wasn't until I saw a picture of myself at a wedding reception I realized just how heavy I'd gotten. I was floored!!

But it motivated me to do something..and quick. Atkins was/is a life-saver!

I really need to start lifting weights too. I am getting to be where I want on the scale but the flab/cellulite is a constant companion.

Hey Brenda! yep, I think the weights are going to do more for me than the cardio right now.. I honestly need to rebuild some muscle I lost...

Yep, that is my backyard!! We LIVE out there in the summertime.. it is gorgeous! It took 18 years for all my trees to get big enough for shade around the pool. We love it!!! Come by anytime!

You know that I totally agree with this remark, but wanted to go one step further and say that strength training will always do more for you than cardio, and should be the mainstay of one's exercise program. You can even do weights and no cardio and get great results, but you can't say the same with cardio and no weights.

If anyone ever wants some help in this area, I'm more than happy to be your "Go To Girl".

Thanks Laura, I know you are the expert and I follow your example in your journal and other postings... you have some great ideas!!

I only do the cardio when I want to have some FUN with it, otherwise I hate it...
