I TRIED to stay below around 800 cals though, so I am pretty sure I was losing just cuz of the low cals. I also felt like the HCG was giving me a boost in the fat burning dept. I am fairly sure that my appetite was also under control on HCG.

My problem became boredom, and with that I started to eat way too many CALS... so then I decided to do the alternating cals days. I did one day a week, usually Saturday of whatever I wanted, ( around 1800 cals) then I would go to 600, then 800, 600, 800 etc.. It worked for a pretty long time.

THEN.. I tried to do a round by the book and failed miserably... started to gain again, and never could get back into the groove. I should have just stuck with what worked for ME.. alt cal days... with no hunger.. those were the good old days....

Good luck hon, you will find what works for you... and when you do.. keep on going...
AWESOME Thank you! I hope I find my weight loss groove while dosing and eating higher cals (been reading a ton on the board!)

Morning Deb & Friends! How are you guys doing?!?!? Deb, how's it going on Atkins?

So I upped my cals yesterday (alot I'd say). I had gained 3lbs over the weekend and yesterday I had coffee with H&H (yummm) twice! One big mug in the AM and one in the PM. I had hard boiled eggs for lunch (with the yolks - love hard boiled eggs) and for dinner I had a nice size (not over doing) steak (with the fat and i cooked it in olive oil) as well as baby peppers (the small ones that come in a bag..orange, yellow, red) steamed and olive oiled. OMG it was all so delish. Woke up this morning to pound lost 2 more and I'll be in virgin territory!

I'll keep this up all week so I can gauge what it's doing in my body...Here's hoping

That sounds wonderful Pati!! congrats on getting that pound off! PLUS eating nice yummy foods!... now this is how you do it...

I am doing fine on Atkins.. love every bit of food I eat.. Just have to watch my portions and I know it will work for me.. I get kinda bored at night so I just have to stop that night snacking for good.. I am not even hungry when I find my hands wander to something to put in my mouth...

Today is a nice new day, so let's do GOOD!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Hi to all my friends out there.. hope your Tuesday is going well

Oh gosh Deb, you described me in the evenings!! This is why I must have the coffee w/cream in the evening otherwise I'd go nuts! It usually does the trick to curb any need for food which I really don't NEED but want

Do you drink caffinated Coffee at night? Does it bother you? I would love to do this also, but then I find I really can't go to sleep, and when I do, my mind is really not sleeping but racing... hummm.. maybe decaff.. but yuck.

I don't get when people say they dislike decaf to me the taste is the same

I however, have zero problem with the regular coffee. My evening mug is usually right before I lay to sleep and it does nothing to me in terms of keeping me up. Oddly enough it does wonders when I am trying to wake up! I think its all mental for me!

You lucky DOG!.. I don't like Decaff probably because of the way it is made here at work. Never tried it at home, but it is yuckky here.

IF I can find a good de caff for home, I'll give it a try. LOVE ME SOME COFFEE WITH CREAM!!...

Dunkin Donuts! NOM NOM NOM...

Actually, I'm not particularly picky with coffees as long as I make them myself (or should I say DH makes it...He tries to never let the pot sit without coffee in it because he knows it keeps me sane and happy! )

Shari, I like your idea on eating 17DD and LC on alternate days. Do you gain after the LC days? I'm curious??

I gave in and ate a few deviled eggs. Sorry, I couldn't resist . I don't think it will kill me...do you?! LOL.

LOL, ready?! Posted from Meek's journal (Jane gave the info, she's the best):

Lean Proteins: eat all you want
salmon, canned or fresh
sole
flounder
catfish
tilapia
canned light tuna in water
*opt for wild caught rather than farm raised

chicken/turkey breasts
ground lean turkey/chicken
eggs (2 eggs = 1 serving)
egg whites (4 egg whites = 1 serving)

Vegetables: eat all you want
artichoke/artichoke hearts
asparagus
peppers (green, orange, red, yellow)
broccoli
brussel sprouts
cabbage
carrots
cauliflower
celery
cucumbers
eggplant
garlic
green beans
green leafy vegetables (including beet greens, turnip greens, collard greens)
kale
leeks
lettuce (all varieties)
mushrooms
okra
onions
parsley
scallions
spinach
tomatoes
watercress

low sugar fruits: 2 servings daily
apples
berries (all types)
grapefruit
oranges
peaches
pears
plums
prickly pear cactus
prunes
red grapes

probiotic foods: 2 servings daily
yogurt (any type, including Greek, sugar-free fruit flavored, plain, low fat; 6 oz = 1 serving)
kefir (1 cup = 1 serving)
LF acidophilus milk (1 cup = 1 serving)
yakult (small 50 calorie bottle)
Breakstone LiveActive cottage chees (1/2 cup = 1 serving)
reduced salt miso dissolved in LF low sodium broth (1 tablespoon = 1 serving)
tempeh
sauerkraut/kimchi (1/2 cup = 1 serving)

fat friendly fats: 1-2 tbls daily
olive oil
flaxsees oil

condiments/seasoning allowed in moderation:
salsa
marinara sauce
lite soy sauce
low carb ketchup FF sour cream
LF low sodium broth
SF jams/jellies
vegetable cooking spray
FF cheeses/salad dressing
salt/pepper/vinegar/mustard
herbs/spices

morning lemon water: 1/2 lemon squeezed into 8 oz of water to drink 1st thing in a.m.

green tea: drink with each meal

You eat like this for 17 days then you can have more variety for another 17 days which is C2. C3 is next and you have a lot more items, do this too for 17 days. You then go back to C1 if you want to continue losing. Keep changing it every 17 days and the weight (and inch) loss is great.

No, I don't gain but I sometimes don't lose that next day after eating LC. However if I continue doing LC I start to lose again. I'd say it's best to do them days in a row..at least for me. Your body may be different...
But, I do lose when going back to 17dd from LC the next day. Confused?
