Things have been going surprisingly well, no real weight drop yet, but Im sticking to my plan. I thought that giving up Diet Soda would be a huge thing but having sparkling water is really helping. Im going to keep doing my 'clean induction' until April 5th and then Im going to incorporate things like nuts and maybe diet soda back in (thats if I really miss it). I do miss my sugar free coffee creamer but using just a little cream does make me appreciate the coffees flavor more

Been using my online tracker and my fitbit, and plan on going to the gym tonight once the crowd dies down. Im thinking 8:30ish. Tomorrow I start a new rotation for 6 weeks at a hospital. Its about a 65 minute commute from my apartment so I'll have to start my mornings much earlier than normal so thats a bummer, but Im so close to the end of my internship, so I dont mind much.

Im hoping for around 8lbs this week (since I still feel a little bloated) but Id be happy with 5

Heres my food for the day:

Breakfast (8:30am)
-1 Serving Crustless Spinach Quiche W-Bacon Bits
-2 Cups Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp HWC
-1 La Croix Lime Water
Lunch (3:00pm)
-1 Large Greek Salad W-Turkey Breast
-1 La Croix Lime Water
Dinner (7:15pm)
-1 Chicken Breast Wrapped in Prosciutto
-1/2 Cup Green Beans W-1/2 Tbsp. Butter & Pepper
-20 Oz. Water W-Lemon

Plus more water at the gym and my vitamins.

Totals= 1,126 calories, 82g protein, 26g carbs, 6g fiber, 20g net carbs, 75g fat, 3,304 mg sodium (little high on the sodium today)

If your off the soda, you might want to stay off. Been reading about the crap in it and what it does to us

Your plan sounds good! Me, I goofed up again...new start for me!

Worked out at the gym last night for 65 minutes and was rewarded with a nice -1.2lb drop this morning even though I know I didn't get enough sleep last night. Ate well today but was so tired after my long day that I'm saving my next gym for tomorrow. Lets hope after a good nights sleep I'll see another nice drop in weight

Same weight as yesterday, but I was up late last night so I attribute my weight to a late night work out and not that great of sleep. Hit the gym yesterday for an hour, I found I like going around 9:00pm because the gym is far less crowded, but it does impact my night if I dont prioritize my things around my gym time, however Im sure once I get in the habit I'll make it work better.

My Quiche/Salad/Meat & Veggie Regime seems to be working pretty well, and it keeps me feeling satisfied so thats great. Ive even avoided temptations at work including homemade truffles and raspberry tarts--I didnt even feel like I was missing out or that I wanted those things, so I think its fair to say I am in ketosis. Once I give up sugar Im fine, its just getting past those first few days that are always hard for me.

Tomorrow I have my first 'real job' interview for a Registered Dietitian position at a Lifetime Fitness . Im nervous but even if I dont get the job going through the interview experience for a career will be very helpful for myself down the road. My plan for tomorrow is to get up eat some breakfast, go to the gym, shower/get ready for interview, eat lunch, and drive down to the cities for my interview, then dinner with the BF afterwards (we havent decided where we are going but Im not worried on finding something to eat).

Going to try and eat normally as well this weekend even though its Easter weekend, on Sunday we will have brunch at my Bf's Aunts House and then we will have Easter dinner at my parents house. So lots of eating and Im sure there will be temptations, but just gotta keep my blinders on

Also hoping to hit up one of my favorite grocery stores while Im down in MN to pick up some LC goodies and groceries. It should be a good weekend

Not much else going on but here's my food for the day

Breakfast (6:45am)
-1 Serving of Crustless Spinach & Bacon Quiche
-3 Cups of Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp HWC
Lunch (12:45pm)
-1 Salad W-Turkey & Ranch Dressing
-1 La Croix Lime Water
Snack (4:45pm)
-1 Black Pepper String Cheese
Dinner (7:45pm)
-1 Bunless Turkey Burger W-Bacon & Avocado
-1/2 Cup Green Beans W-1/2 Tbsp. Butter
-1 La Croix Lime Water

+Lots of Water W-Lemon & Vitamins

Totals:
1,310kcals, 81g (25%) protein, 29g carbs, 11g fiber, 18g (5%) net carbs, 102g (70%) fat, 2,597mg sodium

TGIF!

So glad its Friday, I have Fridays off from my internship so I was able to sleep in a little this morning, go to they gym, and pack before I went to my job interview.

Went to the gym this morning and worked out for about 65 minutes, did a cycle of Recumbent Bike/Elliptical/Treadmill, and my calves are definitely sore. Not many people in the gym but Im sure that was because of the holiday. Afterwards I came home, ate lunch, showered, packed for the weekend, and got ready for my job interview. My job interview (IMO) went really well I interviewed with 2 different people and I think I did a really good job at being personable and interested in the position. Im hoping to hear back from them by Monday or Tuesday

Afterwards I went to the BFs house and visited with his VERY pregnant sister, his niece, brother-in law, mom and dad. We had a late birthday present to give his niece (she just turned 2) so it was really fun to watch her open her gift, we got her a t-ball set, 2 books, and a Minnie Mouse sleep-shirt. Kids are so cute at that age!

Then it was dinner time and to celebrate my interview and almost being done with my internship we went out to dinner. I ended up getting a 6 oz. sirloin steak, steamed broccoli, and an unsweetened iced tea. I was very full afterward, and it was nice to spend some alone time with the BF. Then we came home and vegged a little and I started apartment hunting---gotta be prepared if they offer me a job

Heres my food for the day:

Breakfast (9:00pm)
-2 Cups of Coffee, Black
-2 Eggs Scrambled W-1 Tbsp. Smart Balance & 1 Tbsp. Cheese
-1 Slice Bacon
Post Workout Snack (11:30am)
-1/4 Cup Fage 2% Yogurt
-40 Oz. Water
Lunch (12:30pm)
-1 Turkey Burger W-Avocado, Lettuce, & 1 Piece of Bacon
-3 Small Pickles
-1 La Croix Lime Water
Snack (4:30pm)
-1/2 Iced Americano W/Splash of Half & Half
Dinner (6:30pm)
-1 6 Oz. Sirloin
-1 Serving Steamed Broccoli
-2 Oz. Ranch for Dipping
-32 Oz. Unsweetened Iced Tea

Totals=
1,172kcals, 94g protein (32%), 30g carbs, 10g fiber, 20g (7%) net carbs, 84g fat (61%), 2,914mg of sodium

Thanks Christine! Itd be nice to get an offer

Not much to report here had a good Saturday went grocery shopping with my mom and then had dinner with my boyfriend, my carbs were a tad over where I would like them to be, but my calories were pretty low. I could really tell when I was hungry today.

Heres my food:

Breakfast (9:30am)
-1/2 Iced Americano W/Half & Half
Lunch (11:45am)
-4 Oz. Rotisserie Chicken
-1/2 Cup Romaine, 2 Slices Cucumber, 1 Broccoli Floret
-1 Tbsp. Shredded Cheese
-2 Tbsp. Three Cheese Ranch
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Snack (4:00pm)
-1 String Cheese
-1 86% Ghiradelli Midnight Reverie Square
-1 Inkos Honeysuckle White Tea, unsweetned
Dinner (6:00pm)
-1 Panda Bowl W-Teriyaki Chicken & Mixed Veggies
-8 Oz. Unsweetened Iced Tea
-8 Oz. Lipton Peach Zero Calorie Tea (Mixed Half and Half w/water)*

*They ran out of regular unsweetened tea and because I paid for my drink I felt obligated to get something else, so I was off of my no fake sugar/sugar thing just for today--that also included my piece of dark chocolate..

Totals: 710kcals, 66g protein, 31g carbs, 6g fiber, 25g net carbs, 38g fat, 3050mg sodium

I'll be interested to see what the scale says on Monday morning after 3 days of no weigh

5lbs off!

Well I managed to get to my mini goal of around 5lbs lost last week (my weigh-in's are on Monday) which was surprising since yesterday I had some things that were off plan. but I was down -1.5lbs since Friday morning. So maybe tomorrow then it means the scale will be even lower since Im 100% back on plan

Haha well either way as long as the scale is going in the right direction, any loss is a loss. I still have a long way to go, but my pants are starting to feel a little loose so thats great!

Got off of work early today, came home and napped for a few hours, and now going to do some domestic things until I head to the gym. I wanted to go to the gym yesterday but I had such a headache it would have been suicide to go. Otherwise a pretty normal day

Breakfast (7:00am)
-1 Piece of Crustless Spinach & Bacon Quiche
-3 Cups Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp. HWC
Lunch (12:30pm)
-1 Salad W-Roast Beef, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Bacon & Blue Cheese Dressing
-1.5 Stalks Celery
-1 Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb Cheese
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Snack (3:00pm)
-1 Square Ghiradelli Midnight Reverie
Dinner (6:00pm)
-6 Buffalo Wings
-1 Stalk Celery
-2 Tbsp. Blue Cheese Dressing
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Post Workout Snack (9:45pm)
-1/4 Cup 2% Greek Yogurt

Plus lots of water & vitamins

Totals:
1,370kcals, 87g protein, 27g carbs, 7g fiber, 20g net carbs, 99g fat, 3,420mg sodium

So my sodium is way high..maybe I wont see the scale lower tomorrow

No doubt! I know when I used to eat carbs I'd gorge myself with them on holidays and the next day it seemed like I would hardly get out of bed

Good luck on the job offer btw! That sounds like it'd be a great job

I was up a pound this morning, but I wasnt surprised due to my sodium bomb of a salad I had yesterday. Tried to keep my sodium more under control today so maybe tomorrow will be a better day. I napped today after work but I must have been pretty tired because I missed dinner time and instead of making chicken and a veggie I had a protein shake instead. It was easier and I could get it down more quickly (I dont like eating late at night). Not sure what the scale will say, pretty sure my TOM is coming soon as well, which is never fun but I spose thats life as a girl..

Here's my food for the day:

Breakfast (7:15am)
-3 Cups Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp HWC
-1 String Cheese
-1 Piece of Crustless Spinach Quiche
Lunch (12:45pm)
-1 Salad W-Turkey Breast & Ranch
-1.5 Stalks Celery
-1 Wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Snack (4:00pm)
-1 Piece of Midnight Reverie Ghiradelli Chocolate
-20 Oz. Water
Dinner (8:15pm)
-1 Protein Shake (MRM Egg White PP + Coconut Almond Milk + 2% Fage)
-1 La Croix Orange Water

Totals = 985kcals, 72g (30%) protein, 23g (10%) carbs, 7g fiber, 16g (6%) net carbs, 65g (60%) fat, 2559mg sodium.

Happy Hump Day!

Down -1.2 lb since yesterday, and -.2lb since Monday. Not bad but Im still hoping for about 5lbs this week. Just have to keep watching my sodium levels really well because I attribute my -1.2lbs loss this morning to accidently sleeping through dinner last night and then having a quick, low sodium, protein shake. Oh well

This weekend Im having friends come up for a 'college-type' reunion and there will be drinking, Im going to try and keep things under control but I am already preparing for damage control on Sunday. Next week I think I am going on a Meat & Egg fast, to fix the poundage Im sure I'll gain and to speed up my losses a little.

Losing in the first few weeks when I first did this seemed so much easier!

Down -.8/lb this morning so that was nice to see. I was hoping for a little more loss this week (I know its not over yet...but Im just foreshadowing) however, TOM or I should say my quarter annual TOM has arrived early. So thats a bummer. Feeling kinda lethargic and blah but thats usual. I woke up feeling full of energy today even before I had my coffee so that was a really nice feeling, so not used to getting up at 6am.

Also, I forgot to mention yesterday that I had an impromptu phone interview yesterday with a different company I had applied for, and oddly it sounded like they were already offering me the job. The company is called Pediatric Home Services and I would be working as a Dietitian for infants-adolescents with various nutrition related problems. I would have an office and also do home visits and the cool thing is, is that they provide you with a car for business and personal use, and its a little hybrid

The benefits of the job sound really great, and I would love to work with children but I just have to wait it out next week to see how my crazy phone interview went after the HR person talks to her director. I so hope I get an offer, after interviewing with this company Lifetime Fitness isnt looking so great...but Im going to keep applying to different places and hopefully I'll have a job right out of my internship. Cannot Wait.

Food should be pretty normal today, will check back later. Its my Friday today so Im excited I only have a few hours left of my work week (my unpaid work week) and then I get to prepare for a fun weekend with friends and relaxing. Its much needed

Yay! That's great, congrats on the awesome job offer!! That definitely sounds like a great position with a lot of perks... even better, since you seem to be interested in being able to work with children too. I've always been really interested in either being a nurse or a dietitian, but I don't think I have the patience to ever go through that much school these days

Congrats on the weight loss too! Especially with TOM creeping up on you like that... usually I see a gain leading up to mine, so it's good the scale is at least moving in the right direction for you

And okay... I always meant to ask, and I hope you don't mind the question: the Chillas part of your name. Is it for chinchillas? Or something else? I always imagine you have a bunch of chinchillas running around or something, and while they're super cute and I'd totally own a bunch of them myself I really have no idea what your username actually stands for

I actually do own two chinchillas! They're my babies and I love them to pieces! They are two beautiful ebony boys (brothers) and I hope to breed them someday when I move out of my apartment. I think you are the first person on the board to ask about my username

The first two pictures are of my older boy Taavi, and the second two are his little brother Clover.

Just got back from the gym, and it made me feel old lol. Pretty sure everyone else was getting drunk on their Thursday night (except me and the 4 other college kids at the gym). Im not actually in college anymore but still go to the university gym since Im doing my internship, apparently the gym is a ghost town Thursday nights

Now having my protein shake before I shower and get ready for bed, Im going to get up and go to the gym in the morning as well then go give some blood plasma, come back clean my apartment, and get ready for some of my friends to come up and spend a weekend of fun and relaxing (I most def need it!)

Workout:
-35 Minutes Recumbent Bike
-35 Minutes Elliptical

Here's my food:

Breakfast (6:45am)
-3 Cups Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp. HWC
-1 Piece of Crustless Spinach Quiche
-6 Oz. La Croix Orange Water
Lunch (12:15pm)
-1 Salad W-Roast Beef Blue Cheese Dressing
-1.5 Stalks Celery
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Snack (3:00pm)
-1 Ghiradelli Midnight Reverie Chocolate
Snack (5:00pm)
-1 String Cheese
-4 Oz. Unsweetened Iced Tea
Dinner (6:45pm)
-1 Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast
-1 Cup Broccoli Slaw W-Bacon
-1 La Croix Orange Water
Postworkout Snack (10:45pm)
-1 Egg White Protein Shake (1 Scoop MRM PP + 1.5 Cups Almond/Coconut Milk + 2 Tbsp. Fage 2% Yogurt)

and lots of water w-orange & vitamins

Totals = 1,342kcals, 103g protein, 30g carbs, 10g fiber, 20g net carbs, 83g fat, 3,419mg sodium

Oh my gosh... SO CUTE!! And here I thought I'd be way off in thinking you were talking about chinchillas! I absolutely love animals, so that was just the first thing that popped into my head... I'm really glad I asked too, because they're adorable

That would be really nice if you could breed them! I always wished I could have bred my pets in the past so I'd have another generation to remember them by, but sadly both of my past two dogs have been spayed/neutered before I got them because I adopted from a shelter. I love adopting though, don't get me wrong... it just bums me out sometimes when I know I'll never see a mini-puppy version of my dog

Have fun tonight btw! I know I used to love it when I actually had people around to go out and have a good time with, so I hope you have a good time

Weekend was super fun and went by super fast. However, I am exhausted! I ate on plan all weekend and tried to stay pretty good with my drinks, the only higher carb drinks I had that snuck in besides my 3 Low Carb beers and my vodka were 3 shots of Kinky Liqueur (we were playing a game). However I weighed in -1lbish less on Saturday (probably due to dehydration), but I forgot to weigh this morning. I have no idea what to expect tomorrow, hopefully maintenance, but I think Im going to do an egg fast until Friday to get my weight loss going again despite what the scale says.

My food was weird today I woke up and went to lunch with my friend and then we vegged on the couch and watched a movie. Then I wasnt very hungry but thought I should get a little something into my tummy before breakfast tomorrow morning.

Here's my food for the day:

Lunch (1:30pm)
-1 Jimmy Johns Beach Club Unwich
-1 Diet Coke
Dinner (6:45pm)
-2 Chicken Wings W-1 Tbsp. Blue Cheese Dressing
-1 String Cheese
-1-100 Calorie Pack of Almonds
-1 Midnight Reverie Chocolate
-1 La Croix Berry Water

Totals=
971kcals, 40g (17%) protein, 16g (7%) carbs, 5g fiber, 9g net carbs, 79g (73%) fat, 2,306mg sodium

Ooh also, I ordered some fun things from Amazon and cant wait for them to get in so I can try them out, some are new exercisey things and some are food.

Heres some pics

Oh Mondays..

Super tired this morning but I'm glad to report there was minimal damage from my drinking this weekend, and Im down around -2.2lbs since last Monday. Not a huge loss but at least its something. I am going to try and up my fat intake this week and see if it helps speed up my losses.

I was planning on going to the gym tonight but Im so exhausted after work and my seminar class that I will just make sure that I go Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday this week (I cant go tomorrow because Im donating some blood plasma). Hopefully after a good nights sleep I'll have some more energy for the rest of the week.

I went to Hardees for lunch today for the first time and got the Low Carb thick burger, and was pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely get it again. I also caved and got a Diet Coke because I was dragging so much from being tired I needed a caffeine boost. Other than that, not much to report. Sticking to the plan and going on week 3 of my 'restart' and am down about 7.2lbs, not awful

Here's my food for the day:

Breakfast (6:45am)
-2 Mini Spinach Crustless Quiches
-3 Cups Coffee W-1.5 Tbsp. HWC
-8 Oz. La Croix Berry Water
Lunch (1:30pm)
-1 Hardee's 1/3 Pound Thick Burger (No Pickles)
-1.5 Stalks Celery W-1 Wedge Laughing Cow Cheese
-1 Black Pepper String Cheese
-32 Oz. Diet Coke
Dinner (7:00pm)
-1 Chicken Breast W-Olive Oil, Mrs. Dash & Black Pepper
-5 Asparagus Stalks
-4 Oz. La Croix Berry Water
Snack (8:00pm)
-2 Pieces of Midnight Reverie Dark Chocolate

Totals= 1,284kcals, 72g protein, 28g carbs, 9g fiber, 19g net carbs, 99g fat, 2,295mg sodium
