So it's official, My internetz are fixed
Got up this morning to green lights on the modem. Such a happy sight.
So this last week has been bordering on nightmare levels. It all started when my internet blew up in the middle of an important task and I could not get back on. I did not get back on for two days. When I finally did get back on it was only for a short time and it went back down again. This continued the entire week. Maddening when you have an online business.
In the meantime we had a full schedule for the week starting with guest arriving to spend the weekend. I spent the entire next day after the internet blow up cleaning house. I rearranged the studio to make room for a bed, scrubbed down the second bathroom (it is normally my dye wash room so gets a bit messy in there) Got the entire house nice and sparkly clean perfect, leaned down to pick up the vacuum cleaner and *crack* there went my back. Totally blew it out! I knew immediately that it was a goner. I laid on the bed for half hour trying to convince myself that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was but when I tried to stand back up there was no denying it. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to alleviate the symptoms. Hot soak with epsom salts. Pain pills, gentle stretches. Nothing was helping and nothing did help. I bit the bullet, put on my tightest girdle and spent the entire weekend in agony trying to enjoy my guests and not look too pitiful.
Second night into this we went to a big birthday bash for a friend. What started with appero led to a big bowl of some kind of punch, lots of wine and then a nightclub with glowing bottles of smirnoff. Dont ask me why, I swear I am my own worst enemy but this girl, with her broken back, decided in an alcohol fuzz that dancing was a good idea... I have been next to immobile since that night. So a whole week of not being able to move and no internet. It is not a good combination.
Now thankfully, My internet is back and the back is starting to heal. I can actually lean over and pick something up off the floor now! (granted it's a slow process but I can do it!)
Diet has not been so good. I ate off plan all weekend with dinners out and birthday dinner, booze etc. After all the guests were gone though I did make an effort to stick to plan. I am still eating fruit though and will continue that. I have refused to weigh myself. I know the numbers cant be good.
I bought the Mood Cure and read it this week. Very thought provoking. I am considering giving at least a few of the supplements a try. I need to find that bottle of aminos I have and see what it contained. I remember that it was not such a good match for me and I am curious what the composition was. Also going to walk to Picard when my back permits and buy a nice pile of their fish. It is frozen but it's such nice quality. Being so far from the sea I think it's probably the best I can get here. I have even convinced Frenchie of their quality after buying their sea scallops and he loved them so much he decided to serve sea scallops for a dinner one night with friends. He had to have 'FRESH' scallops though so drove across town to buy some from a store there. Turns out they weren't half as good as the frozen ones I bought at Picard. I read up on their fish and they seem to take great care making sure they have the best fish available including wild salmon! I am convinced that good fish twice a week is very important for our health. Her book just convinced me more!
So back to normal life I hope. One day at a time...

So hubby informed me last night that he wanted to leave for the festival in Germany tonight and actually camp out two nights. I had to put a red light to that though as I just cant see myself surviving it with my back like this. I really want to see the band playing tomorrow nigh and if we go tonight I will hurt so bad I wont even feel like being there tomorrow. SO crossing my fingers that everything goes well and I feel better tomorrow and can enjoy the concert. Eating well today but hubby gave me a piece of his white choc with blueberry candy bar last night. How could I say no to such a sweety?

Home again and I had a BLAST! Dub Inc. was excellent and the festival itself was so nice. It was in the city center in a nice plaza with lots of grass, trees a low wall area you could sit on. Lots of tables and chairs, food stands, fun merchandise that actually looked authentic for the most part and not knock offs (african art, etc) The food was mostly native african cooking so we had some interesting eats. The nicest part was that it was not a big festival with tons of people packed into a huge field with no place to really sit when needed. With my back this is always a concern. This was one of the most comfortable and personal fests I have been to and to be so close to some musicians I greatly admire was a treat. They came down into the crowd with us and it was such fun. Even though it started raining about half way through their set the crowd was so engaged i dont think a person left. And no tiggy I did not just wiggle my butt a few times...I was jumping up and down and screaming just like the rest of them! Truth to tell I think I popped a bone back in place. I am actually feeling better today! WOOOOT!

Nope, I don't have Juan. It must be Diane and Frenchie keeping him all to themselves. He's great at music festivals.

Hmmm. Kitty, maybe Tini has him in a French maid's apron with black tie? Maybe he is making boat drinks for her?

LOL, how was he in Myrtle? Did y'all shag? (No...not do the dirty, I'm talking about the dance! Bwahahahahaahah!)
