Diane, I'm a member of a long hair forum, and all the curly girls there rave about something called "The Curly Girl method". I have no idea what that is as mine is just about as straight as a board.

Maybe worth checking out?

Hi Janet, I read up about that. They encourage you to wash your hair with conditioner only and have a few other interesting tips. I am not sure what to think about it all but I may try it.

Yesterday I did real well with the food. We ate out but I only had meat and lettuce. I ate on diet all day at home also. When I got up this morning I gained 2.5 pounds! I am thinking the scale is getting back at me for my comments about it so I am ignoring that number. We will see if it is still being a snot tomorrow. Right now I am seriously put out with it and I am sure you can all empathize with me on that one!

Today I am taking it easy though I am going to make my hubby a huge tartiflette. This is a big no-no on my diet so I will scrounge something else for myself

Hope you are having a nice calm sunday (hugs)

Not as long as yours, but mine is getting long again. Need to get something done...I'm a slacker when it comes to these things....probably the biggest reason for my not getting bangs cut...higher maintenance. My hairdoes a natural slight curl when air dries. Nice when I have the time for it yo do that. If you try that, let us know how it works!

Made DH a cake (GF) yesterday....was a tad tough for a bit....strawberry.....mmmmmm.....was tempted to make a snackish item for myself...held out...over it now. Not ready to chance ruining any additional benefits coming from sticking it out a bit longer....

Stupid vindictive scales! I swear they are conspiring!

I am still up today. I am so mad I cant see why on earth I gained so much unless it is aunt flo. I am just so irritated because I have been waiting forever for the scale to start dropping again and then it shoots right back up. Grrr

Ok on the hair. Yay you for getting it cut. You could do shorter than that but do whatever you really feel. If you have thick enough hair I would probably possibly chuck a layer or 2 in there just to give it the flow and less floof. But this if coming from the girl that has enough hair for 3 people. The bangs, I agree, not a fan. If you keep it long like that you need to grow them out and have them oh god, whats the word... fade! Long bangs faded into the framing hair on the side. IE, supermodel style cut would suit you very well.

As a fellow curly girl - I have read up on all the tricks and tips. I was never able to go poo-less, because all the conditioners had some form of silicone in them. Worth a shot but I hear mixed reviews for longevity in that method. What does work really well for me is using the tshirt trick. Brush your hair in the shower with conditioner on so its pretty tangle free. When you get out, instead of using a towel, use an absorbent tshirt to scrunch the water from your hair. Always made my hair very curly. I find the biggest contributor for me though really is the hardness or softness of the water. At certain locations my hair goes super curly (ringlets), at others, just a frizzy floof.

Good onya for your choices! The pizza looks fantastic and thanks for the review. That girl is a smart cookie. Pity I have no oven

I am with ya on the teeth. I would find out if there was a big cost difference between preventative crowning, and omg I broke a tooth crowning? Perhaps there is a difference that would justify it?? 680EU is pretty fair price for a crown actually.

yay on the conversation club and meeting an english teacher. I also have another suggestion which has helped me a bit with my indonesian. Get english movies and put french subtitles on. Movies you know and like, and then you can see how people talk and how the translations work. Not perfect, but ive found it helpful. Also, depending on your level of french, go buy teenybopper books or simple books that you might like in english and read the french version (a bit more advance but a fun challenge).

Its hard when you have a partner that speaks the local language so you don't have to. BUT man it puts you in a really isolated space at times. I had fun having a big convo with the airline ticket girl today in full indo (was a cocky moron and greeted her good afternoon with a selamat siang). And, it turns out if you speak enough indo you can bargain your excess luggage cost down to $5 from $40. Phrase of the day (useful in bargaining), ohh,h mahal sekali (sad face and big gestures). Nggak (tidak) mau(contempt face grab bag). - Means thats very expensive, I don't want it. Perhaps I can save up for a crown

Ooooh an Angela sighting <3
Tiggy my hair is actually layered in that pic I just suck at cutting hair IT is quite thick and I had to whack the heck out of it to get it under control. It loks a bit better today but I need to go out and buy a hair dryer and curling iron. I have NOTHING to style my hair with. I am still thrilled with having all that weight off. When my hair is shorter and starting to curl it just feels fun to me. I used to have it MUCH shorter and it was quite red and curly and I had so much fun with it like that.
So this morning I dropped .3kg. Not much considering the big jump but at least I am seeing a downward progression again. Really disgusted with that. I am wondering if my dreamfields prevented it dropping back off. I have never had problems gaining with dreamfields but I do think it is more of a maintenance type food. Since I made Frenchie a huge tartiflette for dinner day before yesterday, I made myself tartiflette mac n cheese. I had already had the big jump so I know it didnt cause it but it sure seems to have kept it around. Grr.
Last night my french teacher never showed up. Really not sure about her. She seems a bit flaky but she has given me a few good suggestions. I am not going to stress it. I have enough to worry about.
Today I have lots of work to do in the shop. It's a never ending story

Good stuff on the losses. Pity if dreamfields is causing a slowdown . Sorry I didn't mean to sound critical of the hair (reread what I wrote oops). Looks good and I reckon you would look cute in short - red and curly sounds fantastic.

Bugger the english teacher is a bit unreliable. But if you can get some hints and tips why not right . Soon you're going to be all fluent and wow your american relatives with your exoticness

Good Morning all, dropped another .3 kg today. Looks like its a slow ride back down but at least it's going. I went and bought mozarella and I am going to try the chicken pizza again. I am thinking I might throw an egg in there too. I found another recipe that calls for 4 c chicken, 3 eggs and 1/2 c parmesan and italian seasoning but I dont really like the seasoning and salty cheese in my crust. I want my crust to just be there as a support if you know what I mean SO I was thinking the chicken, 1 egg and mozzarella. then it wont be real salty. I really hope to get a good crust down because i ADORE pizza and when I made this and ate it three days in a row for lunch...I lost weight. It was very filling and super low carb.
I also found another recipe for a coconut flour microwave bread that might be nice for toasted sandwiches. Want to try that soon. Last night I made a nice big crab salad. They have a nice can of big chunk crab here that is just right for a salad for two. I also made some coleslaw mix with mostly cabbage and a bit of carrot. Today I will whip up a batch of coleslaw. I always feel so healthy when I eat cabbage. The salad last night was made with Napa Cabbage which I really love for salads too. I just have to keep working hard to mix it up. It seems to help a lot. Still haven't found a recipe for granola type breakfast bars but I will continue to look.
Yesterday I discovered some exciting news. Last year I had a popular fiber artist buy and use some of my material in her work. She linked to my shop and put it on her resource page. I had a lot of sales from that link. Then she took the page down because so many people were asking her to please put their name on the page. Well..she put it back up this week and I am already getting visitors from her page again. I am so happy she did that.
So looks like another busy day for me here, that's ok though. I am happy and feeling healthy. What more can a girl ask for?

Diane- I have been out of it, but I love the hair!!!! I think it is very flattering!!! I grew my bangs out and now I dont know what to do with my hair either, I am cursed with the half culry hair like its a PIA to make it straight and a PIA to make it curly it is just high maintenance, I keep saying I am going to do something dramatic but I never do!

WOW the language club and teacher that sounds cool, pizza, chocolate muffins lots of good things going on!! I am glad you are back amongst us!!!

I just finished my second experiment with the chicken pizza and this one actually erred on the other side. sorta like tasteless cardboard. I am not sure if it was the addition of the egg or the lack of salt and other spices. I still have plenty of chicken and cheese, enough for another crust. So now to decide...do i do the chicken and cheese with a bit of spice, or include the egg and the spice. Decisions, decisions. I can say this though...this is getting close to satisfying the pizza urge. The texture is not bed. You can pick it up and hold it! Just getting that taste right... It doesn't help that I always made home made pizza with homemade crust. Hard to live up to that.

Not happy today, Woke up with a terrible headache and then they started hammering and drilling next to me. Weight is ok, up 1kg which is not a biggie. Was going to try and make some granola type bars today but if the headache doesn't let up I am doing nothing!
Hope you all are doing well (hugs)

Hello all, yesterday started out with the headache, moved into upset stomach and kept moving...if you get my drift I had an AWFUL day yesterday and today I am still not up to snuff. I had to go and do my blood test, pick up meds and go to the grocery feeling like this so UGHUGHUGH! ON top of it all I still weight the same today. You would think after last night I would have dropped 5 pounds. So today I am grumpy and whiney. Sorry to whine all over my journal LOL
Hope you all are feeling better than me and having some fun! Here's to a good weekend!

I wonder if you will see a nice big whoosh once you are feeling better and that inflammation goes away? Ug on days where you have to leave the house and deal with reality when you are sick sick sick.

Feel better soon darls, and have a relaxing day!
