Diane, congrats on the new low! (Don't count that slight upswing on the scale - I'm sure it's just temporary!)
The apartment sounds lovely, I hope you get it. I know how awful house-hunting is and can't imagine hunting in aother country. |

It does sound like your thyroid meds are a bit off. Not nice
![]() Fingers crossed for you for that apartment! It sounds ideal!! Even if you don't get it, at least you know there are ones like that around the area you want to live in. I'm a freak, I love house hunting . Not looking forward to doing it in bali though. The scale will drop back down again. Don't sweat it. Good work getting the studio packed up. House hunting I love, packing and moving - not soooo much |

Wow I have been so busy last couple of days I've barely had time to catch my breath. It's been crazy hot here too so I have had all the shutters down and the fan on to keep the heat out. Today the skies opened and dumped on us though and I opened up the whole house and just let the winds rip through it. It felt so nice!
My weight is all wonky but I havent had decent sleep in days. I woke up at 6 this morning after not sleeping most of the night so I refuse to apy attention to it. I have been too tired and busy to try and make it into docs. She has walk in hours and I really want to get in there. Maybe tomorrow. THe insomnia is getting worse which really tells me something is off. I have never been able to eradicate it but it gets worse when the meds are off. I cant stay, I need to go fix dinner before Frenchie gets home but I really wanted to drop in and give you all a hug! Hope your week is going well ![]()

sweetie! I hope you get to the bottom of everything!Keep in mind all the extra activity you are putting in getting ready to move is playing into a probable increase in inflammation and maybe taxing your adrenal system, which then taxes your thyroid hormones, which then makes you lose sleep, retain fluid. Yada, yada, yada... I hope you are able to find rest soon!!! Hang in there. I'm so thrilled about your upcoming adventure and so proud of your success in the weight loss. Double digits is freaking fantastic lady!!!! ![]() |

Diane- if you think your meds are off you are probably right you can tell these things, and lack of sleep, I just cant imagine how cranky I would be, one thing I look forward to is going to bed, now being with Tony and watching him struggle I know how you girls feel, only I am stuck with him being all grouchy, LOL
You are hot, we are cool over here now, all those hot humid days and now it feels like Fall, finally I go thim to turn off the AC, yeah!!!! I sit around in a blanket it is crazy, LOL

Missed you! Thats crap about the insomnia - trust me I do understand that one. Totally buggers up the scale ![]() I hope you were able to get into the docs and get the meds adjusted. You know your body better than anyone else and trust your instincts. Rain, love some good rain (as long as I don't have to drive in the stuff) Have a good day darls |

Yesterday was wonderful in spite of the insomnia. The fantastic pouring down thunderstorm we had just chased that nasty heat right out of here. It was so nice to get some fresh air in here. Then last night I actually slept! I did wake up a few times but I fell back asleep. I am still a bit tired and think I need another night like that but it sure was a welcome relief.
I dropped down .6kg today so that just proves the sleep was the culprit. I have been eating so well I knew it wasn't the food. Thinking about making my thai salmon curry with the cauli-rice tonight for dinner. Hubby doesn't like it at all but I told him if he loved me he would just have to deal with it from time to time as it is my favorite meal ever! I got a new vacuum yesterday and a new microwave as my old one bit the dust a few weeks ago. Nice to finally have a vacuum that works well and I really wanted it now so I could clean up well around here. Hubby ordered everything we needed last week and it all came in a big box yesterday that this poor delivery guy had to lug into my apartment. (it also had a fancy lighted keyboard, fancy headphones and a razor for Frenchie) The freezer gets delivered on the 6th. It will be so nice to finally have a big enough freezer. Our fridge is pretty small and we only have the freezer on top of it. Frenchie says after we get the freezer he wants a whole shelf devoted to his ice cream I told him he had to buy me an ice cream maker so I can have ice cream too but he doesnt seem to happy with the idea. He sees it as another gadget but I think it's only fair that I should be able to feed my ice cream habit too I'm not too worried though, I know I will have an ice cream freezer sometime soon ![]() Now I really need to get off here. I told myself I would post real quick but its been so long since I took the time to really read everyone's journals that I had to peek in on a few. |

Great on the sleeping. It really does impact bloody everything. Hope the scale keeps playing nice and you keep getting some rest. |

O.M.G you are amazing. The basting! On grain! beautiful beautiful blackwork. I'm just dumbfounded at how pretty it is. I can't wait to see something fanciful! I talked to my costuming friends about you at the seminar-- there is a giant client base out there for you!! GIANT. Majella, too, if I can convince her to make fancy little glass aglets!
I could go on for days and days about how fabulous you are and all the fun stuff you can sell to historical costumers. XOXOXOX Last edited by glamazon; 08-25-2011 at 10:42 PM.. |

Angela you make me blush, really  I had a lot of fun doing those pieces and it was simple work. it was not a good design for reversible pieces but it still looks ok on the back I guess. I don't know if you found my blog post but I talked about what I want to do next which is a piece on a coif in the style of a piece of blackwork in a Queen Elizabeth painting. I will probably start sketching tonight.
So today I went to the doctor. She has walk-in hours, which I am truly thankful for as her appointments are usually booked out more than a month. Problem is you have to wait FOREVER. I spent the entire morning in there. I didn't get home till 1:30! It wore me out as the seats are not comfortable so I am dragging my butt today. She agreed with me that it could be my thyroid and wants me to go get the test next week. She congratulated me on my weight loss and also told me a few things that I hadn't considered before. The healing of the hip is taking a lot longer than I first expected but we had to remember that coumadin causes things to heal slower. I knew this but just didn't think about it in this situation. Also that the lack of being able to take anti-inflammatories isn't helping. She seemed very positive about the fact that it is feeling better and told me that this injury might just be one I have to be VERY patient with. SO now I just have to wait till the test results get back in and find out if that's my problem. I hope so because if not I am out of ideas! |

Your blackwork stuff is wicked awesome looking but I know nothing about it. Looks really fussy to make!!! How cool ang is your impromptu marketing person lol.
Good you got to the doc and she was happy with your losses. Sucks your on a med that slows down healing. That would piss me off!! Good luck on the tests next week - hopefully they show an anomaly so you can get some adjustments done. |

I've ordered a new keyboard and hopefully it arrives soon. I did fiddle around with this one annd I think for the most part it is acting better. Now it only misses about every five words. Before it was almost all the time. It took me forever to write the few things I did. I had to answer a few business emails and I about went nuts
![]() I have been keeping myself quite busy the last few days and didn't really have much of a chance to get on the computer anyway so it wasn't that big of a deal. This morning I was down again...98.7 now! In the shower last night my second ring almost fell off my finger, Looks like I will be ringless for awhile. I also have started noticing clothes loosening up and my favorite robe that I havent fit into FOREVER but I refused to get rid of, well last night I put it on and it not only buttoned up it had a good four inches to spare I was thrilled!!!I still have to wait a week before I go in to give my blood for the thyroid test. I am curious to see the numbers. If I am still needing more thyroid that will be good because it wont be quite as hard to lose this weight if she ups it. I really do have to stay super low with the carbs to lose (under 20). If I even add a little more I level out then starts inching up. This is very worrisome because I don't want to stay this low for the rest of my life. This is the main reason I am sure I am still low, even more so than all the other symptoms. A person should be able to eat a few carbs on a maintenance level. I cant even do that! |

Diane- my biggest fear was that I would never be able to eat carbs, and now look at me, I am eating almost 150 and still losing, when your thyroid is fixed it will be alright, you probably could eat more if you wanted to maintain, not lose. And remember it will be good healthy carbs, not sugary junky ones!!!

I hope so Amber, because right now even if I eat a few more carbs it seems like I start gaining. I think if I went above 40 carbs I would start piling it back on

The one thing you have to remember about LC is when you cheat it ruins your week, its a fact, one little thing blows you up, its not like other plans where you eat carbs and can save calories, its frustrating and that is what makes you think you can never eat them again, but when you get to goal you will start adding them back in slowly to see your level to maintain, the sugar and crap though is always going to get us, I think anyone with a weight problem will always have to watch that.

I can empathise with that feeling of omg will I be trapped at super low carbs for ever and ever. Even if we like eating this way, (which I do) the feeling you have no choice can do your head in. I reckon wait and see what happens. Amber changed her ratios and activity and can eat lots of carbs, you never know what may happen when you get smaller ![]() Great on the keyboard. Horrible things when they don't work!! I'm so silly with keyboards that my old g15 (awesome uber gaming keyboard) will be coming with me to bali. Yes, I know I am strange haha. How goes the packing/sorting?

I do hope you girls are right!
Today I weighed in at 98.1 WOOT! Tiggy, I can be the same way, I still miss my roller ballmouse that I wore out two of the samemodel. I need a serious upgrade ofmy whole computing system right now, I will be glad when we get that taken care of. This poor old thing isjust dragging along on its last legs. I have to get back at it. The house is a nightmare, boxes allover and I dontknow where to put them. Will have to clear the end ofa room andstart stacking them I guess. |

Yep for me I will kill myself at the gym to have some carbs, LOL, but once you dont want to lose and get where you want to be you will be able to add some back, it will work!
packing sucks, I am pulling the house off the market, I am going to switch agents after the holidays. I really want to move, but I really want to hire movers and packers to come do it all, LOL I hate packing! |

See I'm weird I think. I am very private/possessive/protective of my 'stuff' that having packers would drive me to the edge of insanity. Movers though - you betcha! I hate all that lifting and being dirty and stuff.
Hmm go get a new computer diane! With that new job and more money you can get a fancy pants one and be all flash . I'm a freak on peripherals. Will ONLY ever buy logitech mice and keyboards, although the razor gaming mice are pretty good once my hand gets used to them. I think I am going online laptop shopping today. wheeee! |
