Wow! That's a great DD! Yesterday the stress & anxiety had my tummy so twisted, all I was able to manage was a 60 calorie cappuccino & Mio for the day--and I didn't even keep that down! So I guess that put me at a negative 0? lol Thank goodness it was a DD do it worked out. I actually never did a liquid only DD but I managed & felt refreshingly cleansed. Still, I'd rather not deal with the "depression diet"...that parts not fun.
Oh, and sorry for all the crap you've had to deal with from your fam. You and I both have had to distance ourselves from toxic people. Its sad it has to be that way but it makes us wiser and stronger as we move on with our own lives. ((HUGS)) |

A musical meditation for the day:
Time for more tea...still don't have much of an appetite (strange), but I'm going to try to eat some eggs and toast to get my calories in for the day. |

I just happen to like it.
I probably owe my weird palate to the early years I spent with my grandparents (German/English/Scottish)...which led to a love of pretty bold flavors. And Vegemite (and Marmite) are, if nothing else, bold. ![]() |

Ah, funny! When I was a teen we had a lady that stayed with us from Australia. She had tons of it shipped over and had to have it every.single.day. Lol I recall I thought it smelled/tasted so awful and she said it was an "Australian thing" and that that it was basically one of the first solids babies every ate so that's why they loved it so much. Anyways that always fascinated and stuck with me so when you mentioned Vegamite, I thought "Australia!" Lol

Love your signature! Don't wear panty hose, lol. Then your quest will be for rash-free thighs! My thighs rubbed together so badly one summer day under my dress, I had to come home and take Benedril and go to bed.

Hahahahaha! My thighs were bare, that's why they rubbed together and caused massive friction and a terrible heat rash, lol! I quit wearing dresses about 7 years ago.

I agree!
It's been a weird weekend...totally caught off-guard with PMS cravings from hell and a TOM visit that is a week or two early. Glad I was planning to do two UDs in a row to change rotations for Xmas -- woke up craving steak. Rare, bloody, primal STEAK. ![]() |

Slight change of plans.........
I'm giving the Potato Hack a go, if for no other reason than to help with the damage caused by my recent overeating and TOM. I won't be following JUDDD rotations, just eating to satiety. I also may be adding a few items that aren't standard to the hack, namely 1 tsp fat per potato and/or low fat buttermilk...but neither for the first day, and I'll remove them if they seem to be working against me. No idea if this will last beyond the first day, since there have been times in the past that potatoes and my IBS have not mixed. 12/1: 237.4 DD Yesterday's UD dinner didn't sit well or stay long. ugh. 12/2: 237.0 UD 12/3: 238.4 DD 12/4: 238.4 UD Didn't drink enough water yesterday 12/5: 238.4 DD (UD yesterday, which I mistook for All-You-Can-Eat-Falafel-Fest-2012, saved by last-minute water flush) 12/6: 236.6 UD 12/7: 238.2 DD 12/8: 238.2 UD (make that an emotional UUAD with macadamia nut pig-out) 12/9: 239.4 UD TOM -- surprise! 12/10: 239.4 TOM (SPUDDD #1) |

Definitely keep us posted with that. I tried it and lost on it which was ironic because after 200-300 cals of potato, my appetite spiked! I ended up craving sugar & carbs & the end of my DD potato days I had upwards of 800 cals! Lol BUT, I still lost! Actually my weight dropped temporarily to the lowest it has ever been so go figure! I personally don't think I would do it again tho because I'm someone who really enjoys variety but I still enjoy hearing about other people's experiences since they're all so different. I hope it works for you!

Kudos on your drop with the hack!
I'm not sure I'm one of the ones who will actually lose with it...but I'm not gaining, either. I'm having a Super TOM (last month's didn't really happen) to make up for November's, which means I'm retaining massive amounts of fluid (I can feel it). So far no extra cravings, which is a good thing. I also crave variety, so I'll be going back to JUDDD rotations once TOM has left town. |

About that variety thing? It got the better of me. No mono-dieting for this carnivore (or at least not during TOM). Saw my daughter noshing on beef jerky, and I swore I growled a little.
MUST. HAVE. MEAT!! ![]() Shared half the small bag with her and finally feel 'normal' (if that's remotely possible lol). Today just became a regular JUDDD Up Day, and I'm fine with it. |

Hahaha--laughing because when I broke down, I dove into my bag of turkey-jerky bites. Lol SO good! Yah no worries, there's no right or wrong when it comes to DD's...just whatever works for you. I could never go past 2:00 on potato only and I've tried it three times. Makes me wonder how some are going for days at a time!

![]() My first day yesterday was fine, then again it was a DD--holy cow, does that mean my system is getting used to the ebb and flow of UD/DD? Sweet!I'm also wondering if the thought of 'just potatoes' was bringing up old (read: ancient) memories of being a starving 19-yr-old subsisting on sacks of potatoes and a few frozen veggies. Those were some rough and scary days. Weird that I don't feel the same way on <500 calorie DDs. ![]() So........still haven't had dinner, but I'll be up late working. Still contemplating potato pierogies (idk why lol) or maybe whipping up some sandwiches. I'll have to ask DD if she's got a secret jerky stash somewhere in the house. ![]() |

B - Nope L - pickled cucumbers (10) D - spaghetti squash, shrimp scampi (460) Total Cals: 470 Net Carbs: 20.1 Not a bad food day, but getting a little stressed about work. Our coding workload was next to nil today (and yesterday...and the day before...), and I'm sitting at a 10.75-hr deficit for the week so far. Yikes. Trying not to freak out, hoping it's a problem on the hospital end (behind in scanning medical records, maybe?) that will normalize soon.
