WOE: WW Points+ lost 24.8
Start Date: 1/20/11
Sheryl 2.0 My journey with WWP+

Well where do I start? After years of being a WW naysayer I decided to give it another try. I was inspired by the new commercials with Jennifer Hudson, she has done an amazing job! One of the girls I work with has been a WW member for years, she reached her goal and lifetime a couple years back. Life happened and she found herself gaining a little weight back. Last year when WW was ready to launch the new program she started going back and was pretty excited about what she heard. She was talking about it with another girl in the office and from what she was saying, I liked what I heard too. As she was talking I thought it sounded a little like more of a Low Glycemic turn. That weekend I did all the research I could do and I started watching videos of people on the program. So, after years of being on the YoYo I decided to give it a try. I started on January 20th, my first weigh in was 212lbs. The first 4 weeks I lost 1.8 each week, the 5th week I lost 2.4, the 6th week I lost .8 then last week I lost 2.0 which put me in ONDERLAND!!!! I havenít seen a 1 in front of my weight for 14 years, I was soooooo excited! Thatís my progress so far, I am super happy with my loss. !!
The thing I love the most about this plan is that you can eat anything as long as itís in your budget. I even had a Five Guys burger and fries one week and still lost weight! Iíve had chicken wings at my favorite sports bar, I just chose to have 5 wings with a salad instead of having 10 with Blue Cheese. I found a flat bread pizza that fits into my plan and I am allowing myself 4 or 6 Cadbury eggs (Love these!!) in the evenings, Iíve learned how to make easy swaps to save points, like eating the steamed dishes at Chinese and I am even making desserts. I canít remember the last time I have been able to stick to a plan for more than a couple weeks. Iíd always eat something that isnít allowed and then that throws me into a tailspin and Iíd give up. Now that everything is allowed I hope that isnít an issue again. I heard on one vlog I watched that itís like every day is a new day because each day you start with a new bank of points and you can earn points to make up for something that may have bumped you over your daily allotment. And there are also the extra Weekly points.
As you can see from my siggy, my highest weight was 262, that was in 2004. I had lost 50 lbs on CAD, gained some back, lost some on LC, gained it back, lost 20 counting calories, gained it back, tried Hcg started gaining it back and decided this is crazy. I needed to find a plan that I could see myself following forever without even thinking about it, I think that I have found it!
We are going on a cruise in September, and my goal when starting WW was to average 1lb per week until then, Iím on my way!!!!

Thanks Ladies! I can use all the support I can get
Well I measured myself this morning and I have lost a total of 10.75 inches since starting WWP+

Arms -.5 inch
Hips -4 inches
Bust -3 inches
Waist -2 inches
Thigh -1.25 inches

As of this weekend, I started cutting carbs out of my breakfast. I am having a hard boiled egg and string cheese every day for breakfast for a week. I don't really know why I am doing it because I haven't had any issues with hunger, but it's just something I wanted to try.

Well, I had a great day today even though I had to work. I wasn't hungry at all today. Had my HB egg and string cheese for bfast, no morning snack. Had leftovers from my steamed diet plate from chinese last night for lunch and carrotts for my afternoon snack. I had shrimp tacos for dinner and that's it so far. Just realized i haven't had any fruit today, I usually eat 2 servings of fruit in the morning but with my egg and cheese I didn't even think of eating the fruit. Guess I'll have an apple with some cinn and splenda. I also did 30 minutes on the elliptical tonight.

Your menu from yesterday looks awesome, Sheryl. Especially lunch!

Hey girls, just checking in before bed. We had a blast @ spring training! I stuck to my plan even though the beer man was pretty convincing. I'm exhausted after spending all day in either the car or the sun. Will try to post more tomorrow.

Went to my meeting today, lost .8. So I am thinking my egg and cheese bfast really didn't help me out at all. It worked in that it made me less hungry, but I don't think I was eating enough food. So this week it's back to cereal for bfast and trying to eat my good health guidelines.
So as of today I have lost 13.2 on WW and a total of 34 lbs since September.

Thanks Meek! My stepdaughter said I looked "skinny"
Thanks Deb, this was our first Spring Training game, we always go to the regular season games but we play in a dome which means AC! But it was a lot of fun and I think we will be making this a yearly trip.

Thanks girls, things are going pretty good for me. We are gearing up for our mini vaca!
I had to call the Dr today to get a Rx for a UTI. Not sure if that will effect my weight this week. I will not be able to go to my normal meeting this week because I usually go on Thursday and we will be traveling, so I might just run over at lunch on Wed just to get it recorded. Hope everyone has a great week!

Ran in for just a weigh in today, down 1.6! I'm happy with that. So if I am good during our road trip I should be getting another star next week

Looks like you are doing great! What is the difference w/ WWP+ and the old points systems?

Hi Kandi! Good to hear from you!
The things that are not so good for you are basically more points. And fruits and most veggies are 0 points. You get more points to eat each day but most things have higher points values. They are now taking into account carbs when assigning points values also and suggesting healthy carbs.

Well, first day of our mini vaca is coming to a close. Didn't do too bad with my food. We had Wendys for lunch and I had a grilled chicken sandwich with some grapes. For dinner we went to this awesome thai restaurant and I had a seafood curry dish that was outstanding. Back in the hotel I had a few pretzels and 9 cadbury mini eggs while watching American Idol.
WW pushes real life, meaning that there are always going to be times when you just can't count and track. The key is making better choices so that's what I am trying to do.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sheryl Congratulations on your weight loss and your journey with WW. I think WW is a great progam also, it has taught me how to make better choices myself, do I want to eat this 3 point what ever or have a 0 Point fruit! I will take the fruit. You are so right WW pushes real life and not a quick fix that we would regain as soon as we lost what ever we wanted, this is a WOL for me.
I hope you are enjoying your vacation. I enjoy reading your journal you are going to get to your goal!!
Have a super day,
