Dangit, I decided to start my own journal which I do with reluctance. I am not a journalist, shoot I don't even have text on my phone. So here goes....

My name is Laura, I started this LC journey last summer in August. My DH Jeff had started with me and then found out he had to have surgery to repair a hernia caused from Colo- Rectal cancer and an Iliostomy in 06. I had lost about 10 lbs but with staying with him during his week stay in the hospital I had to resort to eating the high carb food from the cafeteria. Needless to say the 10 lbs I lost I found real quick. I found this web site October 16th by total accident and joined. You wonderful people have been instrumental in helping me lose 68 lbs so far. I have found some good friends on the Daily Weighter's thread in the Century Club, who's moral support has really helped me tuff it out when times got rough. So you see I guess it was time to write this opening statement to let others who venture here see that it can be done and people here are so very willing to help. Thanks Guys

I forgot to mention that when I started this WOE/WOL I was 239.8 I am now 173.8. I have gone from a 20W jeans to an 8 misses...a 2X top down to a lg misses...panties from a size 8 down to a 6 and bras from a 40D down to a 38C.

Well it Tuesday Morning , the scales were kind to me this AM 173.4 I feel like I am in a stall as some folks call it. I think I am going to be in the 170's forever.

I'm so glad you are here and I will be a regular reader for sure!!! Congrats on the weight loss. You look fantastic and so much younger girl!!!!! Wowza! Jeff is lucky guy too, not just because he's kicked the Ca but because he has you at his side!!!

BTW, lc is really the ideal thing for peeps with colorectal ca...and especially if you do it without grains...

Thanks Pooti, I sure didn't want to do it but since every one else has a journal I figured I might as well bite the bullet and start one. Pooti I was a hog and to make matters even worse I am over 9 years older than he is but he is a great man to put up with me, I can be a real be'ach when I want to be. Thanks for daring to come in and post.

I went out today with my employer for lunch...(we do every day) and got a House Salad from a small restaurant (Macs Breakfast Anytime) I love these things. It's nothing special but they load it down with real crispy bacon so any time we go there that's my go to meal.

God I love being on 1st shift, I feel like after 4 years I'm married again. I really need to start tanning, but it's still a little early for me..I usually wait till about the end of March.

Well my Dr's office finally called me, they want me to go back to see the Endo for a full work up, if she thinks the results warrant more attention she will send me to UNC in Chapel Hill.. I am about done with this crap, if I hadn't had all of these test done I would be by now. Dear Diary sorry for the negativity but I feel like I am in a $$$$$$ pit with no way out. So that's it for now...till next time

I love those Cream Cheese Clouds, might be why the scale is not moving in the right direction. Went to Mac's AGAIN today for lunch...got the House Salad, I like them but 3 days in a row is kinda getting old quick. I noticed today that the size 8's are starting to get to big, soon it will be time to start throwing them into a hot dryer so they can shrink up some. Waiting for Jeff to come home, cooking Hot Wings for dinner with left over Broccoli Slaw. Till next time dear diary.......

Well dear diary, I guess it's just you and me~ weight today was 173.2

Went to Cafe Vesuvius today, got the salad with rotisserie chicken on it. I am beginning to think this journal is crap, I don't need a journal to keep me accountable.

Gosh that salad sounds yummy. Why do you think the journal's crap? You don't have to use it for accountability silly. But it's like having "your own online parlor" where we can come visit you and give you exhortations and you can just talk about what ever is on your mind, you know? LOL. You are doing great girl!!!!

Wow, you look great! And proof that it can be done. I cannot wait to be in the 170s like you. I'm 56 and never thought that losing weight and changing the figure would be possible but you are proving it in your photos. I'm chipping away at it and it's great to be getting compliments and feeling confident, eh? I found some pics of me from last summer before I started, I would never have the balls to post them, oh man.

Always good to have the hubby younger, ha ha, mine is 4 yrs younger than moi.

Left you a post in the Thyroid section - just to say I'm heading to a head/neck specialist on 3/21 as there's nodules from my ultrasound.

Laura I have a lot of trouble journaling. I skip days at a time. For me it ain't accountability. I have to do it to stay connected with what I'm doing. But weather you want to journal or not: you are doing so awesome.

Saturday March 12, YeeeeeeHaaaaa!!Dear diary we change the clocks ahead an hr tonight, more daylight in the evenings. Weighed this am 173.4...I think I am going to start weighing weekly from now on, this snail creep weight loss is the pits but I know that I am eating right so I'm not worried about surprises on the scale. Next weigh in will be next Saturday morning and I will know if it's going to work or be an issue and I can change up accordingly.

Well good evening dear diary, Jeff cooked burgers and chicken breast on the grill tonight for dinner, I fixed him some fried peppers to go with his...nope none for me, too carby. He was out in his building all day making bird feeders and really did a fantastic job. I will post a picture here in a sec. Day light saving time starts at 2am YEEEEEHAAAAAA more daylight, Jeff wants to get out and start walking in the neighborhood, with all of these hills I'll either be uber skinny or dead. So dear diary as I leave you I will with in this...I the weekends.
