It's weigh in day, 186 I'm up .4. Yesterday was my husband's birthday and I ate some chicken chili with crackers and a small slice of the best fig cake ever.

Good Monday morning! It's weigh in day once again. This morning I was doing a happy dance 183, I'm down 3 lbs this week! I can't wait to be in the 170's! I can't even remember the last time I was in the 170's!

Thanks ladies!!

Just the other day I was at work and saw a family friend there. I walked up to him and started talking to him and for the first 5 mins he had no idea who I was. He told his wife later that it wasn't until I said something about my husband that he realized it was me. The last time he had seen me was last year around Halloween.

I don't know if I will ever get use to how surprised people are when they see me now. I sometimes forget how far I have come but when someone sees me who hasn't in a while is telling me how good I look and asking me how I did it. I just think WOW I really have come a long way. I want more than anything to be able to help others do the same. I'm often asked how I made it happened, what made me so determined to do this. If there was an "ah ha moment". I guess I would say I had two of them. The first being when I broke a chair at a family get together at my brother inlaws. I was so embarrassed I cried. Then I had a scare at work where I thought I was going to pass out. I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was high so he put me on medication.

WOW! Amazing feeling isn't it when people's jaw's are almost on the ground when they see you! My own father didn't recognize me when I'd lost alot of weight years ago.. I want that feeling back again!

Way to go Nikki!!!! You are doing amazing and such an inspiration. I love the way people react that haven't seen you in ages. It makes you feel so good. I saw a distant relative that I haven't seen since I started losing this weekend and she was so shocked to see me!!!! It was a great feeling!!!

Just had to tell you that you are amazing. I sure hope you know that! And just by being here you help people, Nikki.

My daughter is a decorator too! During college she had worked for Central Market/HEB stores which I'm pretty sure are just in Texas. So after graduating she moved to San Antonio and started working in a store bakery and about a month ago became a decorator. She's really artistic and I know this feeds her artsy side. I love when she sends me pictures of her cakes!

Looks like hurricane Isaac is headed toward Louisiana. I'm kinda worried, in the 3 years I have lived here this will be the first one we have had. So I've never been in one before.

Thanks girls! Work was busy today! They were buying stuff like crazy!!! Not just water and can foods but bread and cookies too! The storm is suppose to hit sometime tomorrow. They have already canceled school.

School and my work are closed tomorrow. I think I got everything we need. So now it's just wait and see what happens. They said the storm will be here sometime late tonight maybe around midnight. It's so crazy, the gas stations in town are out of gas!
