Okay time to dust off this journal and bring it back to life....

After low carbing on and off for 11 years I decided it was time to try something new. Almost 8 weeks ago I started WW points plus. Since then I have lost 28 lbs. I eat my grains early in the day and in the evening time I only eat meat and veggies and maybe an apple or pear for a night time snack if I get the munchies. I still have a long way to go but I'm not discourage, after all this is not a diet it's a WOE. So even though I have a goal weight there is no finish line and I'm okay with that.

Stress has been high at home, mostly financial. There is drama at work that I try to stay out of. I feel like I'm on stress over load!

This evening when it cools off a bit my son and I are going to the walking track. Maybe I can leave some of this stress behind.

Hey Leeney, thanks for stopping by. My son motivates me to be the best I can be. When I read what your litte girl said it put a big smile on my face. Kids say the cutest things!

My son has been sick since Friday, fever and sore throat. He seems to be feeling better today so hopefully what ever it was has passed.

As for me I'm still counting my points and drinking lots of water. Thursday was my weigh in day and I lost 2.8 lbs.

I refuse to let stress get the best of me! Diving into ice cream will NOT fix anything! (This is what I keep telling myself)

I'm very excited to get to see my little man play in his first football game tomorrow!

I'm still doing good on WW, I'm down 48 lbs. When I hit 50 I'm going to reward myself with something... maybe a new out fit or purse...

Today a friend has reminded me that I have to do this for myself. I have tried in the past to do this for others and it didn't work. If I want to be the best wife, mom, daughter and friend I can be then first I must take care of myself. My husband keeps telling me I need to work out (I know I know!). He is a gym rat and me I hate the gym . I need to come up with a workout plan I can handle. My biggest problem with workout is getting bored. I need to get a MP3 player to put my favorite songs on maybe that would make it more bearable.

I put a playlist of songs on and do silly dancing to it. In secret of course. I put only as much effort in as I feel like. There's no logic to it. When House of Pain say "Put your hands up", I do, and try to keep them up till the end of the track. No idea whether that's even an exercise. Today, every time it went da da da in a Heartbeatz track, I jumped as high as I could in the air. Which, to be honest, wasn't very high, especially after I clipped my kneecap on a chair. Mr Motivator would turn in his grave. As I take off weight, I get more energetic. I think I sprained my liver to the Ketchup song the other day (can you sprain a liver?). If I reach my target I expect to be pogoing to the greatest hits of Rancid. If there is such a thing.

So, if you don't like exercise, just wiggle about sarcastically on your own, I say, while Mr Nikki is at the gym--it's still a plan. Pretend you're misbehaving at the back of the school dance class.

YOU ARE the KEY Nikki..!! You cant take care of the Kids...or your Hubby
unless you take care of you....dont feel that it is selfish for you to work on yourself !! YOU are the best Mom you can be...ad the best wife you are being...You will get there...just keep on working at it one day at a time !!!

Keep on being YOU and taking care of you.... the rest will come !

Thanks Jarrad!

I've decided that I'm going to do something every day for myself. Something for my mind, body and spirit. I will track it daily in my food journal. When I look in the mirror I focus on what I want to change about myself. Today I focused on how much smaller I am then I was 50 lbs heavier. For Body during my 30 min lunch break I walked 15 mins and then ate my lunch for the other 15 mins. Spirit will be my daily prayers and bible study.
