I'm an Atkins girl through and through. I had lost over 100 pounds on Atkins before I got married, then stopped low carbing and gained it all back

I tried Weight Watchers and lasted about a month. I just could not count and weigh and calculate EVERYTHING! Just as well I guess. I have pcos and low carb is really good for it. Not to mention low carb makes my butt much cuter

I've really been toying with the idea of trying WW PP, but I just worry I'll get annoyed having to track everything... I guess I'll re-visit that idea once I start to get stuck again, as for now I've got some bloaty-bloat to get rid of first and we all know LC knocks it right off!

You do so well with it that I want to try it though! lol

Nikki, reading your journal was a real inspiration to me to give WW PP a try. My mom and sister have been doing it for a little while and losing but neither of them have much to lose. My main reason for switching from lc was because my cholesterol is extremely high. My doctor is giving me 3 months to try to lower it without medication. I saw this as an opportunity to try something new, and combined with my exercise program, I just know I can do this.

Sara, yeah with WW I track everything I eat. But I like tracking, I always keep a food journal.

Writermom, you can do it!

This week has been so crazy at work. We have been getting ready for Mother's Day and it's nurses week. I made a cool nurse cake today.



After work I went and treated myself to a new tee shirt. The gift shop in town just got this new style in today. Here is a pic of the back of the shirt.

I forgot to post my menu for today.

B- cheerios and skim milk
L- Smart Ones turkey and cream potatoes
Sn- watermelon
Supper- Grilled chicken breast dipped in BBQ sauce and fresh asparagus. My honey is BBQing tonight
Dessert- WW ice cream
I might not hit my daily points today but I'm not worried about it.

I didn't sleep well last night because I was stressed about us being short handed at work. So I have had a headache on and off all day long. I'm so ready for the weekend to get here!

I just started it the other day. Its the Hottie housewife one. (wishful thinking is a wonderful thing )

I like the journal thing. I could use some more accountability. Plus, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE reading the journals of succesful people (like you ). It is so encouraging. I thought it would be pretty cool if I could be that person who encourages others by seeing my journey.

TGIF!!

People keep asking me how I can lose weight and work in a bakery. To me my cakes are a form of art. I don't even think of it as food. One of ladies in the office had asked me yesterday if I tried the donut bread pudding I made. She said it was the best. I told her no, I was being good. She asked me how do I do it. I had no answer other then I just really want to be healthy (and a hottie! )

That got me thinking...what is different? Now that I'm on WW and I can have a treat once in awhile if I want, I just count it into my points. I don't feel deprived for not trying things. I know that if I really wanted a taste I could take ONE bite and walk away. I never had that control before. It is a good feeling.

Nikki I would be face down in a vat of icing, LOL That nurse cake is so dear, honeslty I am glad I was not a baker, cause it would be evil. Pillsbury had Sugar free cake, icing and brownies, not too bad I make them for Tony and Bobby just cause I dont like them eating so much sugar either. Tastes like the real thing!!!

Amber I always come home smelling like the bakery and my little dog goes nuts smelling my clothes LOL! Good thing the sweets don't absorb through my skin, I would be in trouble!

My menu for today

- cherrios, skim milk and small banana
- grapes
- left over grilled chicken breast with some BBQ sauce and asparagus
- popcorn 1 cup with white cheddar powder on top
- I'm thinking subway 6 inch roasted chicken sub on wheat

I plan on going swimming suit shopping this weekend. I haven't wore a swimming suit in many years. I hope I can find one that looks good on me.

I actually wore a tight ish black skirt over my bikini bottoms and put my tankini (and a camisole under my tankini top to cover up my cleavage that does not want to stay covered , I'm an old fashioned girl ) over it to cover as much as possible. It worked really well for me on vacation. Plus the bikini bottom was kind of tight so it made my tummy look smaller under the skirt ! Having everything in black made it all match . I wanted a modest swim dress but all the ones that covered everything I wanted covered were WAY expensive.

I went to Stage and found a size 16 swim dress and it fit!!



Can't really see the dress part in that pic, so here is a not so good pic but you can kinda see how it looks like a dress.



I had my husband take the pics and he was just like.. well you know a man. LOL! So they aren't that great but you get the idea.

Thanks ladies! I'm off work tomorrow, so I'm hoping TOM will be gone so I can go swim. Sean begged me to take him swim yesterday. But I told him hopefully we can go after he gets out of school tomorrow.

We're going to church this morning and then to Subway for lunch. Then I'm taking Sean to see the Avengers. Dan worked last night and he works tonight so it's just Sean and I.

Weigh in day

I had a good time with Sean yesterday. At the movie we got a small popcorn and I ate a 2 or 3 hand fulls. He also shared his peanut M&M's with me, I only ate 3.

Today is weigh in day, 203.4 (down 2.8 lbs this week)! I can see Onderland, I'm almost there!

I'm off work today. I'm going to the school this morning. Sean is getting an award. Then I'm headed to the gym to get in a work out. Then when Sean gets out of school, Dan and I are taking him swimming. I'm looking forward to it!

Today's menu

- 1 cup cherrios, skim milk and banana
- 6 inch roasted chicken sub on 9 grain wheat bread from subway
- strawberries and pineapple
- ham steak, 1/2 baked potato and carrots
- WW mini ice cream cone
