I am exhausted! I wound up doing a full low resistance workout with some planks and crunches thrown in.

Right after, walked home with a few bags of heavy groceries and served up myself some steak and eggs. Very hungry!

I think I will take it easy the rest of the day and cuddle with my kitties.

Have a great day!

Due to my limited budget, I have to cancel my WW subscription for the time being but I still wholeheartedly believe it does work and for those interested and have the funds to do it!

From my personal journal:

Weekend was fantastic! Could have exercised on Sunday but really wanted a day off. That's what happens during the Summer, you want every weekend to be fun!

Had some nice compliments from the girl's (hubby and I went out on Saturday night) about my weight loss.

Today's workout plan will be 10 minute warm-up, some stretching, followed by full body workout.

I get to incorporate some blueberries and strawberries into my meals.

Menu:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup eggs whites scrambled; protein shake mixed with water; green tea

Snack: 5 blueberries, 15 almonds

Lunch: chicken breast with cucumbers, a bit of red onion, mixed greens, 1-1/2 T of balsamic vinegar

Snack: 5 blueberries, 15 almonds

Post Workout Snack: Protein shake with 1teaspoon of l-glutamine mixed with water.

Dinner: Cup of egg whites scrambled; 3 strawberries; green tea

Water? About a gallon.

Have a great day!!

Lora how come only 5 blueberries? I had to take a second look when I read that. Frozen blueberries and strawberries are good in protein shakes. I have been making a strawberry slushie/sorbet thingy in my Magic Bullet lately-frozen strawberries, water, sf strawberry syrup and some liquid vanilla stevia-quite refreshing and seems like such a treat for the cals.

Portion control?? I thought I had taken a bunch more but I must have become distracted and took only a few. I wanted to stretch out the portion.

Spent some time reading some fabulous links today, thought I'd share.

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat...-fat-loss.html

Got Built? » How to do Cardio if you MUST!

Today's Eats -

B: 1/2 cup of egg whites scrambled; whey protein shake
S: Almonds and blueberries
L: Rotisserie Chicken, lettuce, balsamic vinegar
S: Almonds and blueberries
Post workout snack: whey protein shake with l-glutamine
D: Turkey burger, 1/2 cup of egg whites

I have started to incorporate fruit but very sparingly right now. I want to see how well my body adjusts to it.

I must tell you that I am real happy with doing more weight-lifting, less cardio. My body is responding well to the new program.

Workout for today: Plyometrics!

My menu will remain the same until Friday. I love not worrying about what to eat anymore. It's planned, easy to make and very inexpensive.

A little rough going this morning but I will muddle through. I'll do a quick fast walk/avoiding the tourists during lunch today and tomorrow as my cardio. So beautiful here today in Boston!

Simple fluid movements, starts with a squat and ends with a shoulder press. Easy yet worked the entire body.

I am either coming down with something or my body is one complete ache! Whatever the case, I am home relaxing and happy I did not succumb to the inner beast. My body needs a good rest after the last 3 days.

I bought some potassium caps to help me with the spasms I have been having the last couple of nights and decided to up my water to see if they go away. My hamstrings are to say the least sore. So ex-nay on the legs for another day for them to heal.

I did miss the gym though. I felt guilty! LOL! I need to grab my 5lb. weights from the cellar to keep my arms busy in the evenings or something while at my laptop.

Addict! I feel kinda guilty too when I don't exercise. My neuro has me take magnesium for muscle spasms-you might need all around electrolyte balance not just potassium. Emergen C Lite is also great for this.

If you go to the Emergen C website they were having a free sample offer-don't know if they still are but it's worth checking out.

I combination exercises - they really get the job done in minimal time, don't they?

I really like doing sumo squats and bicep curls together with a BB too.

Update!

Shirlee went over my menu for the week and shook her head. My body is not responding as it should because I am not eating enough food. I need to eat more!

I need to eat more protein and fat. More raw and cooked vegetables and yes, even eating a few more eggs or meat will help. Up the servings of olive oil or coconut oil and see how it goes for the remaining 2 weeks.

Last evening, I was completely run down. Had little energy for even a light upper resistance and my hamstrings were still sore after 2 days. She told me to carb up my dinner and use some of those activity and allowable points from WW. (I am with WW officially until August 9th and then I am going on hiatus with their program due to budget difficulties.) I had a horrible dinner but I do feel much better this morning. Probably go for a long walk and do some errands.

Today's Menu:

1/2 cup of egg whites with one whole egg; protein shake

Snacks: Almonds and blueberies

Lunch: 3 Fried eggs with turkey burger

Protein Shake

Dinner: Salad with steak
