My TOM along with my weight training is making me hungry though. I figured I would play it smart today by taking my dinner along with my lunch to avoid all temptation.

The WW Power Points 2012 is really sweet with more flexibility. The dpt for myself is no longer 29 but 26 and certain foods have had their points raised. However, I decided to go with the Simply Filling Method. Sticking only with Power Foods, I pick and choose what to eat and how much. There is no need to count points unless I veer off from the list.

The weekend was tough but I muddled through. Woo Hoo! Ready for another week of Simply Filling. Friday will be a big challenge since it'll be our Christmas party at work. Lots of treats will appear. Such as luscious pumpkin donuts. Nooooo! Must stay away! LOL!

Today's menu is easy peasy with simply filling method:

Breakfast: 2 low-calorie wheat toast with laughing cow cheese spread and 2 fried eggs.

Lunch: Green salad with lamb tips, 2 teaspoons of dressing

Snack: Banana

Dinner: Probably the same as breakfast. Lunch is more important to me than dinner.

Then a nice tough workout after work.

Dagnabbit! I am shedding hair. What's a girl to do?

Biotin and a fantastic multivitamin along with sensible eating should do the trick according to my trainer. I recently had my hair cut to my shoulders to see if that would help. It does a little but I need all the help I can get.

Yea my hair shedded big time after DD. I heard it's best to keep taking the prenatals... I just took a regular multivitamin. But it's common.... your hormone levels are regulating.

I started a 21 day clean eating/exercise/no drinking/support challenge.

My biggest challenges are the weekends. I will update soon.

Over the years that I've been on my weight loss/maintenance journey. I've come across an epiphany of sorts. Looking back at old food journals, I realized how I was able to lose weight, add muscle, and feel rejuvenated even after tough workouts. Bad decisions got in my way of long term success.

1) A calorie is not just a calorie. But calories do matter.
2) Processed food and diet sodas are horrible for mind and body.
3) Free range clean meats are worth the expense. No more shellfish. Tuna/salmon in cans are out!
4) Steel cut oatmeal (the good grains/seeds) aren't wrong but flour is no matter how low the calories are.
5) Complex carbs are awesome. Don't be afraid to branch out and try different fruits and vegetables.
6) Spices are good! Sugar is bad!
7) Low to zero fat dairy at the barest minimum only. High fat cheese is my addiction! Out of sight. Out of mind.
8) More sleep.
9) Cut down on the drinking. Tired, irritable, headachey feeling isn't worth it.

I'm learning a lot of different plans and how my body works. It all boils down to what works for me. Right now, the Tree of Life way of eating is working to my benefit. More energy for my lifting and eating really well. Getting rid of 98% dairy (except for my little Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges) is helping me look better. Though my trainer thinks if I do eat dairy than to forgo the wedges and spread savory Greek yogurt onto my pita or Ezekiel breads.

It's a work in progress but I like it!

WTG!!! I heard from somewhere that leg exercises help to burn the most fat and get your heart pumping. Yea I don't each much dairy either.

What do I fear?
I fear stagnation and lack of progress.
I fear never reaching my potential and being average.
I fear being forgotten... The past... Yesterday's news.
I fear giving up and being passed by, going softly into that good night.
I fear letting those I love down, letting myself down.
I fear settling, giving in to the "that's just the way it is" mindset.
I fear dying without leaving my mark.
I fear not feeling these fears anymore and just floating along.
These fears feed me, they nourish my drive.
I love my fear.

EMMV but I know how my body works. I am eating cleaner, lifting heavier, and my energy is through the roof.

All this time, the Tree of Life plan is what my ancestors followed for thousands of years.
