Casey's Corner~Journey to happily ever after~

Well, It looks like the thing to do to if you want to stay successful is start a journal so here I am! I will add some pictures for my own inspiration (and hopefully I can help someone else as well) I will be doing this also for a reference, as a place to keep all of my weights as well as progress photos etc..
Ok so a little about me..
This is not the first time on this low carb journey (or second)! This will be my third time losing well over 100 pounds.. I can't believe I am even saying that! What in the world is wrong with me that I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds 3 times in the last 9 or so years?? Yikes! Hopefully this will be the last time for me. I am married now and have been smoke free since finding out I was pregnant in 2007 (yes first pregnancy and quitting smoking talk about a double weight whammy!)
The last time I did Atkins, I lost 200 pounds in a little over a year.(2004-2005) I went from 360-160! I worked 2 jobs (one was waitressing) and maintained my weightloss by staying active. I gained it all back during my pregnancy in 2007. I went into labor at 32 weeks and was put on bedrest for the remaining 10 weeks (DS ended up being late). I gained most of my weight during this time.

I think these photos speak for themselves...
I have been going on and off induction for the past 2 years and this time I am doing it! i have one more year living overseas (DH is a Govt contractor) and want to look like a whole different person! I feel bad for DH because he met me at my lowest weight and I am sure didn't expect this to happen. He is so supportive and doesnt't treat me any different than when I was 160 lbs. Lets do this! I know we can! In the past I lost 100lbs in 6 months, lets hope we can let history repeat itself!
I have come a long way since late August 2010. I have lost almost 80 pounds and I am sooo happy! I am out of the 300's for the first time since giving birth to my son in December 2007. I hope to use this journal to share my story with other people who are also on this journey. I can use all the advice I can get!

I didn't think we would get this far along this quickly! It is a true blessing! I love you too girl, you are such a great friend. It is nice to have someone who understands, right along side me. From one momma to another

I am glad you will be keeping me in line! I have had one or 2 little slip ups this month. It is so weird, because I lost 20 pounds this month! I believe that was a combo of things tho, getting really sick, and getting back from vaca with a ton of water weight from an 8 hr flight!

Casey we are together always. I can't say to the end because this is a life long journey. It does seem like we have only been doing this a few weeks. Some people are able to have cheat days and jump right back on the wagon. I fell off years ago when I did it because I caved to a bite of fudge at a Christmas party. I am unable to have cheat days. I have control issues with sweets. I refuse to even allow myself the chance to Indulge. 20 pounds is awesome!! You are definitely kicking butt!

Here I am all up in your butt! Think of it like my marriages hun, you lose the weight I have wedding number 3 this year, we can do it!!! LOL I am so glad you started a journal, I wanted to do it after Poot pushed me to, and I am so glad she did, it is a good tool to look back on, there is a group of us that is in this battle together and we are doing it!

Having met you in person, you are so BEAUTIFUL at any size, and your heart is just as beautiful, as Mama talking do it now while you are younger, you beat the smokes that is really good, it only gets harder!

You are going to come home beautiful and thin and maybe then have another baby!

I gained 12.5 after the trip to Las Vegas and flying, the travel makes you hold water like a camel! You are doing great 20 pounds in a month is awesome! The gym will help firm everything up, I can see the biggest change since I started going!

Ok so did I tell you girls I booked a Mediterranean cruise for August 27th? Bathingsuits, formals, and tank tops OH MY! LOL I better get my ass in gear! I want to be ATLEAST 70lbs down by then. I even bought a "goal dress" (sz 14) for that cruise. I better fit in that damn dress!!! Ya'll wanna see???? ;p I think it's so cute.

Don't worry there will be spanx involved haha



If it doesn't end up fitting, it will eventually right?

I really think the key for me is having alot of fat in my diet! hwc in coffee, Mac nuts,and eggs! really i eat eggs every day! I also make low carb chicken stew from time to time..I eat meats with mayo to up the fat. It keeps me way full, and puts me in ketosis so I never want to snack!

i know this is not recommended, but I only ever eat 2 meals a day. I think breakfast is important and is by far my biggest meal of the day. Maybe that is why I have lost fast too.. I eat 3 eggs a day! All in the morning.
