Still here, it's been school vacation week so home with all 3 kiddos and just NO. TIME. FOR. ANYTHING!!!!
Still plugging along, I have totally quit calorie and carb counting for about 2 weeks now, weight is staying the same, although I have increased intensity in my workouts and am seeing a difference in my clothes, Yay!!
I am adding 2 X a week sprint workouts, a Crossfit type strength training 2 X a week, and my weekly Zumba class, and a Pilates class, (joined the YMCA this week).
Things are good, I will weigh-in next Thursday, I stayed FAR away from the scales this week (TOM).

Good afternoon,
Still here, I have recently quit calorie and carb counting for about 2 weeks, but I just couldn't resist, today and yesterday I entered into ********* to get an idea, I am averaging 1700 calories, and exercise creates a daily 400 calorie deficit. Something's gotta give here soon!!! Let's hope!

Today's menu:

B- 2 eggs, 2 slices bacon, 1 coffee with canned unsweetened coconut milk

L- Turkey burger (bunless) with bacon and Kerrygold cheddar, cooked in .5 tbsp. coconut oil

D- Chicken thighs curry in crockpot, side salad with avacado oil/lemon juice/oregano dressing

Total calories: 1,759
Total carbs: 17

Today's exercise: 30 minute walk outside, Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVD, Level one (OUCH!!)

Checking in, it's been a while.
I had a rough week a few weeks back, a friend was visiting for a whole week, my whole way of eating was out of wack, I ate SAD and gave up exercise for a week. It has taken me a LONG time to get on track, the awful carb monster was back and I am still struggling honestly to get my self back on track food wise. I am back exercising daily but still picking at potato chips, dark chocolate, etc. I also had TOM this week and my DH has worked the past 15 days straight, so my stress and anxiety levels are through the roof. Gotta get under control.

Well, it's not too late, the name of my journal is Jess's 2011 Journal from fat to fit.

I really hope to make it from fat to fit still this year! 2 months, I can do it, I will sure try anyway!!

I haven't written in this journal for several months, and while trying literally low carb, primal blueprint, giving up dairy, giving up gluten, Hcg diet, you name it...lol. I am STILL 163 lbs. I have fluctuated from 156-163 lbs. in that time, not too impressive for all that I have given up.

After more research, I have decided to try calorie cycling, it seems like it will work for me. I am gluten intolerant/sensitive whatever you want to call it, it just doesn't agree with me, so I will keep that out of my diet for sure.

My plan:

Monday: 700 calories, 1 hour Yoga class or rest

Tuesday: 1,800 calories, Yoga and treadmill sprints

Wednesday: 700 calories, 1 hour Yoga class

Thursday: 1,800 calories, 1 hour Yoga class

Friday: 700 calories, Rest day

Saturday: 1,800 calories, HIIT and/or 1 hour Yoga class

Sunday: 1,200 calories, Treadmill incline, 30 minutes

It's tough to diet with all these things coming at you left right and centre. Eventually, though, I think low-carb will get so deep in your instincts that you'll find it easier to maintain it in difficult circumstances. That's how it panned out with me, anyway; but I was all over the place at the start.

Thanks for popping in, yes, it's tough to follow any diet with the stressors of daily life, but I am only 34, I have spent the last 6 years being overweight, I am ready to change that! Have a great day!

Well, plans changed a bit yesterday, I didn't have time to cook 3 eggs for dinner, I was runnning from my Yoga class to my DD's dance class to pick her up (...oh the life of a busy mom of 3), so I had made the family a dinner of almond floured baked chicken breast and veggies. I quickly scarfed down the whole chicken breast (7.5 ounces!!) so my calories total for yesterday were 956. So today I will try to stick with my Down day calories of 700.

Today's menu:

B- Coffee with 3 tbsp. Coconut milk creamer and 2 stevia packets
3 eggs scrambled in Pam

L- 3 eggs cooked in Pam

D- 3 eggs cooked in Pam

Total calories: 714

Today's exercise: 1 hour Yoga class

UD tomorrow, Thank GOD!!! I am HUNGRY today, maybe I should have made today an UP day since my cals were low-ish yesterday. I really wanted to get on the M-W-F Down Day, Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday Up days, and Sunday Medium Day rotation though. I just sent my dad to get me a diet coke at the store, hopefully the bubbles will fill up my tummy today.

Just made the decision to skip Yoga class today, I just cannot imagine exercising today, I am hungry, I will wait until I get more accustomed to the feeling of DD's to incorporate exercise I think. Just today's observation.

I have had some hunger in the down days, and honestly, I haven't been able to get under 700 calories for the down days and my up day was closer to 2,000 calories instead of 1,800, but for now, it is still working for me. Total calories: ?? Shooting for under 2,000

Today's exercise: 1 hour Yoga class, 30 minutes treadmill

This would make my daily average of calories at 1,350 and hopefully will a little calorie deficit each day from exercise I will get things moving.

So....I went a little hogwild yesterday with calories, I had 3 avacados that were needed to be eaten, and I made a guacamole, had it with some Tostito scoops, OOPS! Total binge, I ate the whole thing, around 1,100 calories just for that lunch!!!! I know avacados are good for you, but they are just too high in calories to fit into my plan at this time, lesson learned.

I am also going to try to go back to my Up day/Down day rotation. 700 calorie down days, 1800 calorie up days, I will do M-W-F down days, T-TH-Sat-Sun up days. This should bring my daily average to 1,328 calories per day and only have to "diet" 3 days per week. I will also be better about getting my cardio in on the treadmill, have been good about hitting my 1 hour Yoga class 3 times per week, my goal.

I am off to Mexico in 55 days, really want to be looking good by then, I would be really happy to lose 15 lbs. by then!!!

Okay, so I cannot seem to stick to 700 calories at all :-(
I guess I won't try to be so restrictive, I tried to do the low cal day yesterday and ended up ordering chinese takeout and pigging out on that because I was starving, unfortunate, because I hadn't "binged" in about a month.

Today's menu:

B- 3 eggs, 1 serving egg whites, 3 slices Canadian bacon, 1 coffee

L- 2 slices Udi's gluten free bread, topped with butter, 2 eggs, 1 cup sauteed mushrooms, 2 slices ham, .5 oz. Kerrygold cheddar

D- 3 small bbq chicken thighs (skinless, boneless), brocolli slaw with mayo

S- 1 tbsp. unsweetened coconut, 1 tbsp. chocolate chips

Total calories: 1,367

Today's exercise: 1 hour Yoga class, it was a good one today! I am SORE!!!

Yeh, so this was the chinese food incident day, I was so hungry I only ate the breakfast listed above, and ordered out for lunch/dinner. I didn't eat the lunch/dinner stuff above. Calories came in at 1,490 instead of 664.

Stuck with my plan today as above, had to drink 2 Diet Cokes to battle hunger though today, bummed because I had kicked my soda habit for a year, but find I need it to get through these low cal days.

L- 2 eggs, 1 serving egg whites, 3 slices Canadian bacon, cooked in Pam spray

D- Greek salad topped with 10 shrimp
