My hhcg journey

(started blogging, but the journal seems more user friendly, so I'm just moving this over here...)

Day 1 - Nov. 14, 2010

intermountain drops, 10 drops 3 x a day

Starting weight: 219.5

Today is Loading Day 1

I was very excited for the loading days, but I'm not really hungry today! I'm kind of forcing myself to eat.

Oh, thank you so much, Debbie and Maggie! I really needed to see those cheers! I'm feeling kind of panicky today. I really really need this to work. But I'm sure most of us feel that way.

Today is going pretty well. I'm hungry, but that's okay. Time to feed off those fat stores!

So far, I've had 3 cups of black coffee, and I'm eating half a cucumber and 3.75 oz of chicken. Gotta say, after being mostly vegetarian for several months, I'm not lovin the chicken lol. I'm going to try to stick mostly to protocol for as long as I can stand it. If I can go off-protocol and still lose, I'll do that, as I would like to eat less (or no) meat, and I like the idea of higher calories days to keep my body guessing. But my goal is to get through 23 days of close-to-protocol. I'm not doing the melba toast, though. I'm trying the apples (because I love apples), but if they make me hungry, I'll give them up.

Just took my measurements. Oh, the sadness. I'm looking forward to them being smaller next time I take them.

Thank you for the encouragement, Tempted! 78 pounds and 45.5 inches lost?! Wow! I'm in awe! 150 is my goal weight. It's kind of arbitrary, as I have no idea what I'd look or feel like at 150. I'm 5'7", and according to my wrist, I'm small framed, but you wouldn't know it to look at me lol.

I see you do Callanetics! I'm a true believer in Callanetics. I need to start doing it again.

I am jealous of tall girls I always wished I was a few inches taller no need for heels then lol I think you will look smashing at 150. Regarding the wrist thing when I was some what bigger I did the wrist thing and it told me I was large framed, but now when I do it I am medium framed, I cant figure that one out Oh I used to do callanetics alot but now I havent in like 3 weeks I really need to get back to it, it is the magic!!

Good luck Cassie!!! I am also 5'7" and started at 227 pounds! My LDW was 176 and I've been in P3/P4 since the summer. I started a new round but got sick so had to stop. I'm thinking of trying another round in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My weight this morning was 180.6 but I was a very bad girl over the weekend and I'm wittling away at those pounds. Stop by my journal anytime!!! I'm going to try and find some pics at my start weight and my LDW. My ultimate goal would be 150 but I would be ecstatic at 160!!!!

The first pic is of me in August at 227 before hhcg (my arms are huge!) and the second was at my sister's bachelorette party in June (blonde one).

Okay, so I'm off protocol already The hunger yesterday was too much. It wasn't that nice empty feeling I was getting on Atkins, it was the gnawing hunger that makes me unable to think about anything else and makes me crabby!

So, today I had cream in my coffee (not a ton, but enough to put something in my tummy). I drank a couple cups between 8 and 9, and by 10:30, I just couldn't stand the hunger any more. To save myself from diving face first into a bowl of buttered popcorn (what I really really wanted), I ate 3 oz. of chicken mixed with 1/2 diced celery stalk and 1 tablespoon of mayo. I ate it slowly, and, while I'm still hungry, it's not overpowering.

According to ******, I'm at 306 calories right now.

Thanks, Deb! I'm still not sure what my plan is lol. How horrible is that?! It's making me crazy. I keep telling myself I have to have a plan!!!!

I guess my plan is trial and error? Hopefully not too much error lol. Right now, for this round, I'm going to try low calorie (shooting for 500 cal), made up of protein, veg, and some fat. See how that works.

Just had 3 oz. chicken and half a cucumber with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar drizzled over.

Now I'm up to 457 calories so far. 54 g protein and 4.6 g carb. Still hungry!

I'm scared to eat an apple lol. I truly feel best when eating low carb.

Question: Is mint really bad if you're taking hhcg drops? Or is it something that you just shouldn't have it around the time you're taking your drops?

Don't know for sure, but I would say just avoid it around drop time.. you are doing well!.. hang in there today, eat extra protein or something if you are still hungry... it won't hurt your losses...

Thanks, Deb.

I had a bad headache and didn't feel right, so I ate more chicken and mayo. I'm hopeful I won't be so hungry tomorrow or maybe the next day.

So today's totals are: 694 calories, 80.3 g protein, and 4.6 g carbs.

Not eating anything else tonight. Even if that means putting myself to bed at 7:00 lol.

Still need to lose another pound to get to pre-load weight, but a minus 3 was great to see!
