Hope everyone had a great weekend! It's amazing how quickly they fly by.

I got my 20-minute run in yesterday. I don't think I've ever run a full 20 minutes in my life! Now to work up to 30+ so that I can be ready for the 5k next month!

Nutrition is still good, even on the weekend, which is huge progress for me. The 5k training has really helped me focus, and I'm grateful for that.

Here's to another good week!

Thats awesome you signed up for a 5k! Have you ever done one before?? I actually signed up for 2 this year, one in May and one in July...bad news considering I hate running and Ive never done one before, but its for a good cause and it makes me have motivation to go to the gym. I dont want to gasp during the first few 100 feet

Good morning, ladies! I submitted a post yesterday; I guess it didn't stick! Mariah, I have never run a 5k before, so this will be a new adventure for me. I'm just hoping to finish at this point; I want to run the whole thing, and I don't care if it takes me an hour to do that! For real.

So proud of my DH! He has really been working his plan, carefully tracking his food, and has dropped his sugar/carbs to wife-approved levels! He's under 50g carbs/day, which for him is incredible (formerly 300+!!!!!!!!!!! omg). Because he's only trying to lose 15 lbs, the weight is coming off slowly, but it's coming off! He's very motivated and willing to try different things to keep it moving. YAY.

Food for me has been good; I'm living in a different world these days! I've been preparing my regular lunch-type stuff and "extra" stuff, and I gotta tell ya: I have more food than I can eat. I'm just not hungry. Finding the right macro balance for me has resulted in a serious decrease in appetite, even with adding the jogging to my routine. It's a weird problem to have. Example: This week, I took six leftover drum sticks and a bag of babybel individual cheddar wheels to work with me, and I haven't touched them yet. Here at home, I have leftover steak fajita guts waiting for me, and I had planned to have them for dinner last night, but I wasn't hungry! I have a shake in the refrigerator that was meant for yesterday; again, not hungry. I'm drinking that one today, one way or another!!!

That shake is kale, raspberry, avocado, and raspberry tea. It's really not bad, and it's the only way I could ever eat kale. While kale is great and healthy, I don't have razor teeth! It's tough to get through raw.

Greatest snack ever that I made for DH last night: Cheese crisps. Forgot about those. I put 1-2 T parmesan (fresh) on parchment paper that I sprayed with oil, put that on a cookie sheet, baked at 350 until crisp on 1 side, flipped, and baked some more. He loves them! I added a little onion powder, too. Incredibly delicious and crunchy!

Ok, that's all for this morning!!! Have a great Wednesday!! Four day week for us here, and I am loving that idea!

Good morning! Thursday, which is technically Friday! I'll take it.

Food yesterday:

B: BPC
L: Kale shake, one babybel cheddar (finally! Also, I saw online that Babybel also has gouda rounds!!! I can't seem to find them around here, though. )
D: Sirloin with butter, side of turnips au gratin

Delicious! Down a whole .2 lbs today, but a loss is a loss, right?

**Also, I wish I could bottle up this feeling of being "in the zone." I make good food choices when I'm here, feel optimistic and motivated, and experience a general sense of well-being. I'm going to try very hard to keep myself here and not get derailed with negative self-talk or excuse-making or justifications for bad behavior. I'm putting it in writing to help me stay focused!!

You sound very determined and focused and I agree no allowance for negative self talk. You are working your plan and it works for you so keep it up. I hear you though on bottling up the feeling of focus and determination, my resolve goes completely downhill when it seems to be that time of the month. I have to find a way to get around that road block, sometimes I have success and sometimes I don't We are works in progress, that is for sure. Have a fantastic Thursday Christine.

Oh so true! Thanks for the love, I really needed it.

Not really bad behavior just counter-productive behavior. I think we need to take the 'bad' word out of our vocabulary. I love how positive you sound!! Happy Thursday!

Ah, the lovely *point*x losses...story of my life! But yet, a loss is a loss!

Love your feeling of positivity and good mood. Taking out the negative self talk will do wonders..it's a hard thing to eliminate when we've done it so long, but it's getting easier! You are a rockstar!!!

Hope everyone had a good week! Busy one here. Up to running 35 minutes at a time, which is incredible to me. The 5k race is three weeks from Sunday!

Lost 10 pounds but look like I lost 20. I think running has really reshaped my body!

Nutrition is the same; sticking at around 75% fat (some days over 80, but rarely!). DH is still doing well, too.

Gorgeous weather here for the weekend; hope it's sunny where you are, too!

Thanks, ladies! Heading out for my workout soon. Too bad my throat is killing me. Poor DS came home from his spring break with his dad with a cold, and I think he is trying to pass it on to me! You can keep your gifts, kid!

Anyone have apple cider vinegar as part of their day? I read an interesting study about the change in body composition of an experimental group who ingested a few T/day vs. the control group, who did not. I'm wondering if it's true that ACV can help keep blood sugar in check. Either way, I'm drinking it today because it also helps take the sting out of a sore throat (I don't need an experiment for that! It works for me, and that's good enough! ). Just curious if anyone else had insight into this idea.

Christine I drink 2 tbs.ACV in a concotion of 12-16 oz's of water, 1 tsp. cinnamon, stevia(sweetened to your taste), 2 tbs. of lemon juice. I believe it really helps me with better digestion of food, BS, it also helps the PH balance in a woman's body and I just feel overall better when I have the stuff. Everyone is different with what works for them but I drink this sometimes daily or everyother day. I make sure to rinse, rinse my mouth because you probably already know that the cider can eat away at tooth enamal so you need to really rinse your mouth. Have a nice day.
