Back on the horse, that's what us girls do. We're strong like that!

Thanksgiving sounds great! Sounds like ours! Quiet and low key...football on the telly. Yep, that's me!

I hope your day was good.

I don't have big plans for Thanksgiving, just us and our Son so it won't be major for me. I like it that way lol....

I love quiet holidays.

Went to bed feeling terrible and woke up feeling worse. Chest congestion, sinus pressure, ugh. The dreaded whatever-is-going-around. Just need to get through today and tomorrow!!!

Almost Friday!

Oh Christine, feel better! Look on the bright side, better now than next week. Here's hoping you're all better by Thanksgiving.

Bejewelme, great plan! That's what I'm going to do, too. Life's too short.

Hi Christine!

Hope you feel better soon. It stinks to be under the weather...

Ah, I also love quiet holidays. Ours will probably be that way. We are just having my mom, my brother-in-law and his girlfriend, and 2 friends over. Turkey and fixins, with some LC options for a few of us. YUMMY.

Take care and I'll check in with you soon!

Hugs, Jenna

Ugh. Terrible weekend of illness. Fever, chills, this cough. I am still not 100%, but off we go to start the week. Glad it's a short one!

Christine,

How did your Turkey Day go? Are you feeling better, I hope?

We are fun but I am still stuffed (no pun intended). I did pretty well with LC, but I did eat too much. Back on track today.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Hugs, Jenna

Ah, back to routine! Had a great workout this morning, and I'm hoping to be back on track nutritionally! I just need two good weeks......just two good weeks! Day at a time, day at a time!

Got my mini-fridge stocked with HB eggs, bacon, string cheese, and iced coffee. Happy Monday!

Successful day so far! Nice tight workout this morning, and food was this:

B: Coffee, hwc
S: Coffee, hwc
L: HB egg, bacon, string cheese
D: Probably some turkey, cheese, and mayo

Feeling energized, which is great. Looking forward to a nice week of clean eating!

I gotta get the turkey day bloat off, I need to drink green tea and I hate it, but they say it helps bloat so I am going to try to drink it! Snow here, WTH I hate snow!

Just enough snow to be a pain in the neck!!!! Grrr. Hope the bloat eases off; green tea and water will help! I need to have some green tea right now.

Tough workout this morning. Man, these heavy weights are killer. 75 lbs on the stiff-legged deadlift, 80 on the squats. And a killer isometric: Lie on your back (preferably on a bench) with your legs straight out (hanging off the bench; butt is on the bench, legs are off) and lift both legs so that toes point to the ceiling. O. M. G. I do three sets of 15 and am ready to die. I can feel those lower ab muscles working, though, that's for sure!

Working toward another good nutritional day. Yesterday ended well. Today I will be mindful and engage in appropriate eating. My plan is as follows:

B: Coffee
S: HB Egg and/or string cheese
L: Salad at cafeteria
S: Iced coffee
D: I forget. I have a list of dinner menus at home, but I realize I didn't check it this morning and didn't take anything out of the freezer, so I can't remember what we're having. Could be any of the following: Paleo lasagne, broiled shrimp, flank steak, something involving chicken. I'm thinking it'll need to be the lasagne because everything else is frozen. My family will not be thrilled. OH WELL.

Your LC foods sound great! So happy for you, back on track! I envy your strength, your workouts sound KILLER. The lower ab exercise would probably kill me.....

How are you managing cravings?

So far, the cravings haven't been too bad, Blonde, but we'll see what happens today and tomorrow. It's usually days 2-3 that challenge me. Also, weekends.

I'm going to make some bone broth this week, too, to see if that helps. Apparently the marrow and sodium is supposed to be helpful in reducing cravings and increasing satiety. We shall see!

Hope you have a good day, my friend!

Lonely meatballs! LOL! I know how that goes. Ended up making vegetable lasagne (pictured below), and DH actually liked it! I just layered zucchini, cheese, ricotta (mixed with one egg), mushrooms/onion/garlic (sauteed first), with some Italian spices, sauce, baked at 375 for 40 minutes. Taking the leftovers to work today!

I could have made it even more LC by making my own sauce out of tomato paste and water, but I was in no mood for that nonsense. Tonight we'll be having something with chicken; I have to check my list because I forget what it's supposed to be.

No gym workout this morning; Wednesday is a rest day. I can surely feel the workouts of the past two days! Even modified, pushups are killers!!!! I can feel it in my chest and back. I do believe the water weight is coming off, and I can see myself smoothing out a bit. Maintaining a day-at-a-time focus, but my real focus is on eating clean to the end of the year. Here's hoping!

Wow, the lasagna looks yummy! I think eating clean til the end of the year is a great goal, especially when you're making good lookin' food. That's my goal as well. I'm giving the Ketogenic Diet a shot. I've been LC since last Friday (and before Thanksgiving) but VLC for two days. We'll see. Something's gotta give. No Pinot Noir for two days! How do I stand it?

How DO you stand it???? That will be my challenge for the holiday season: Limiting alcohol. A glass or two of wine, ok, but I need to limit the number of times I allow myself a glass or two!

I'm not going to promise no wine!

I'm trying very hard to look at this as a lifelong event, not just until I lose enough weight. That said, I will just have to sacrifice a faster weight loss with a little Pinot Noir now and again (and again). I have to be able to sustain the plan. Wine isn't recommended but I'm foregoing some really unhealthy high carb treats...it will have to be acceptable to me, I know it will slow me down a little but I can think of much worse things. Like...twinkies.

Blonde~ my thought process has been much like yours in terms of finding some things that I truly do love and knowing that the losses will just have to be slower. Afterall, we do have to live, right?

Yes Danielle, exactly right. We have to live. I have reached a point where how i eat directly relates to how I feel physically. For me, carbs are no bueno. Wine is muy bueno!
