Happy Tuesday!! I wake up every morning thinking, "Friday???"
No, not yet. Made crockpot wing chicken last night, and despite the fact that it was pretty spicy (my sauce is Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce, regular, not hot), it was pretty good. Even DS ate two servings of it! I think I'm making spaghetti squash with alfredo/mushroom sauce tonight. Not much news around here. Hope everyone is having a great week so far! |

Hey Christine, I loved that chicken one of my favorite now and so easy!!
Did my new workout alone at the gym, the back room no one was there so I could sprawl around and not be embarrassed!! LOL I was like all ready and then there were all these people in the main area, so now this is cool I can do box steps and burpees in between and no one sees me, and no one gets hurts with a flying boob!!! LOL |

Good morning, everyone! Heading into the gym soon for the dreaded dips and pull ups. I have this nagging pain at my right heel, and I'm pretty sure it's from doing planks. I can feel it when I do them; I hope it clears up soon. In better news, when I first started this routine almost four weeks ago, I could barely hold a 15-second half plank. Now I can do two 30-second full planks. Good progress!

Planks are killers that is super, making tangible progress you can measure is a good thing!!!! I am trying to focus on lifting and getting stronger rather than the stupid measurements, like my husband said he can tell I am working out harder again cause everything just gets firmed up. I think my trainer does the measurements every 4 weeks. So I will be curious to see what happens.

Oh! I also forgot to mention that I made cream cheese clouds last night. I halved the butter, though:
1 brick cream cheese, softened 1/2 stick butter, softened a few drops of peppermint oil (I added too much!) A few shakes of xylitol Beat until smooth and drop onto waxed paper. Freeze and enjoy! They really are like little cheesecakes, but the peppermint was way too much. I know for next time: one drop is enough! |

Christine- I did hte new shoulder workout, it is short but mighty!!! OMG I am feeling it! Hubs was going to take me out for our 1 year anniversary I said I cant go I cant trust my trap staying shut! So I told him we will get a big filet and he can grill, LOL It was a victory for me!

Let me know how you like the clouds if you try them (and how you make them)! Seems that there are lots of variations, and I'm up for trying all of them!
![]() Amber, shoulder workout.............ouch! But happy anniversary and good for you for making a wise choice. ). A steak at home sounds lovely! Off to workout soon, a bit later than usual this morning because DS is off from school today and Monday. DH will be home with him today as I head off to work. Hoping this heel pain goes away (it feels like it's in my Achilles and I can feel it during planks, which is why I think it was caused by the planks). Today is the last day of my first 4-weeks of this lifting plan. Next week, things get real! Down to 6-8 reps, which means heavier, harder weights for the next four weeks. I swear I can feel a different in firmness (just like you, Amber!), but I don't think my weight has changed all that much. I read something on Pinterest: It takes 4 weeks for you to notice body changes, 8 weeks for your friends/family to notice, 12 weeks for everyone else to notice. Just a reminder that even though the changes are slow, they'll come! Patience, patience. Have a great Friday! |

Glad you enjoyed them, SS! I made more last night but I forgot to add xylitol, so they basically taste like peppermint cream cheese.
I'm going to try again later this weekend! Low-key day here today. DS and I will hit the farmers market later, and I'll probably do some cleaning. No idea what the food situation will be; I haven't planned out our menu yet. Christine- smack the tiny husband for me,I cant even catch my husband, LOL We got close last year near the wedding, but I still had to carry him, LOL
Working out, watching the birds, going up to Macungie to the rock show! That is about it, guess what a girl at work got fired yesterday! Holy crap, she was a B with a capital B, and my boss who is so nice was like I am sick of the negativity, etc and she let her go so now she has me who is new and the other new guy and one full time person! Man drama on a Friday!

Blonde!! Hope your weekend is off to a good start!DS and I have been busy: We made homemade chocolate syrup for his chocolate milk (first ingredient of store bought? HFC ), made homemade clay for his social studies project, and got our Halloween decorating underway. I cleaned out the coat closet and stored the portable a/c unit. Hung some hooks in there for DH's ball caps as well. Now it's time to head out for more decorations and some food. Oh! I found two jackets (cropped) size 12 from Talbot's that haven't ever fit me well enough to wear out. NOW THEY DO. Amazing. I haven't lost much weight, but the lifting is toning things up, apparently! Too bad it's not cool enough to wear them yet. ![]() |

I know we are weenies we are so close we gotta meet, or I will drag you down here to bootcamp with me!!! OMG I got the best compliment today some guy in the bootcamp class said I am getting nice shoulders!!! OMG that meant more than noticing I lost weight!!!! Its like you cant really measure shoulders so I guess you can tell they are more defined, I still swear all this lifting is doing something! I knew you were the one person that could appreciate it! He had a contest today to see who could hold a plank the longest some 18 year old girl was at 8 minutes when I left, LOL 8 Minutes!
