Congrats all around! I love the clothes and I think purple shoes sound lovely! I agree with Jan re: LC, people who don't understand...well...they don't understand. Are you nervous? It sounds like a lot of pressure. I know you'll do beautifully but the thought of it makes my palms sweat and I'm not even going.

Your Dad's party sounds like it was wonderful, and your DS too! Isn't it funny, when you see him through someone else's eyes, you can marvel at what a special person he has become? Stepping up and getting people to dance? WOW!

I know losing weight doesn't solve all problems, or change everything, but I think it makes you open to new opportunities that you may not have considered before. KUDOS!

Maybe I could launch into a nutrition talk over dinner? When someone orders pasta, I can say, "Oh, you're not going to eat THAT, are you??" I think that would score some big points!

Ahhhhh, to lift or not to lift, that is the question. I have 90 minutes until DH is coming to pick me up for a night out.......should I go to the gym in that time or do it tomorrow? Hmmmmmm........I should probably go.

Christine- I tried Zumba, OMG I suck!!! I did it for like 20 minutes then slipped out and worked my arms and abs, LOL It was so crowded you couldn't see the teacher and I just couldn't follow along, I was flailing like a spaz! LOL I need some butt to booty shake, LOL I will leave that for the more coordinated peeps, give me a good old plank!

I'm glad you tried it!! It's definitely not for everyone (just like running!), and maybe one day you'll come back to it!

Well, bear in mind that this interview includes not one, not two, but THREE meals, so I have PLENTY of time to demonstrate my wacko tendencies!

Crazy busy weekend here. Too much sun + not enough water = bad news on the scale. But that's ok. Even if I don't break into the 160s by 7/26, I am ok. I am doing things I've never done before, i.e. wearing sleeveless shirts in public (tank tops, even!!!). I cannot even tell you the magnitude of that step for me.

Gym progress is going well, too. I'm focusing on lifting, but I might head back for some swimming this week after DS leaves for vacation with his dad. He'll be gone for eleven days. I'll need something to help me manage the anxiety, and physical activity is usually it. I'm not an anxious person by nature, but I still struggle with DS taking trips without me, even with his dad.

Heading out of town overnight this week with DS before he leaves. He'll be off on Wednesday morning, and then........let the interviews begin.

Christine- I know how you feel my ex and I split the summers he is with his Dad now for 3 weeks, luckily he lives around the corner so I can see him, that is too long, I miss him so much!!!!

OMG I know what you mean I am loving my arms, and I wear everything sleeveless the first time ever!!! I especially look for the dreaded cap sleeves, now they dont cut my flubber, LOL

I have been thinking I am getting bulky I did Bob Harpers weight loss yoga, holy crap that is a work out but I feel elongated, I bought some pilates tapes too I am going to try that on the nights after I run to stretch and stuff, I still like lifting the best though, and spinning I really enjoy!!!

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to try some CO tonight. Last night, the pain was so intense that I had to take some Tylenol PM. My bed sheets feel like sandpaper on my legs.

Interview, Day One, went very well. Full day today! Looking forward to meeting lots of new people! Diet yesterday was not so good. Hoping to be better today!!

Thanks, ladies! I was the final candidate and the only local candidate, both of which work in my favor. I think they know I will do a good job for them; I see many areas for growth and change (which I believe I articulated well), and I seem to be a good fit for the office.

So now we wait.

I should hear something within two weeks, and if it's a positive outcome

, it'll be a quick transition. Thanks for all of your encouragement!

Having lunch today with an old college friend; can't wait! Dinner with my dad tonight. Lots of eating out this week.....I need to get back on track immediately! Three days of not-so-good eating.

Today I am back on track! Happy FRIDAY!
