So glad it's Friday. I am getting together with friends tommorow for lunch and a movie and I'm really looking forward to it. I also cannot wait until Sunday when I step on those scales. I know I shouldn't be getting my hopes up because there is every chance that I won't be down that much or even any, but I can't help not thinking about it.
The gym is done this morning, did everything this morning and feeling good about that. I saw something on a tv show that I might want to do in the coming year. My friend and I are going to go visit my former workout buddy since she lives right outside Chicago and the three of us are going to do the typical tourist things while we are there. On this weight loss show, they had a guy climb the stairs of the Sears Tower. He was a big guy and hopefully at the time I visit Chicago, I'll be at goal weight and maintaining, but this looks like something I would like to do. I mean it's fairly pointless, but I would love to say that I did it. I'm wondering if tourists can even take the stairs? Anyone have a clue about that? Like I said, it's pointless really, but it would just be something I could tell people I did. |

Good morning Seth!
I don't see why they would have them shut to tourists. Sounds like a great goal |

It is not pointless...this would be an accomplishment of something you most likely didn't even think about last year. If this is a personal goal, then it matters |

Thanks Diane. You are right, it's not something I would have thought of a year ago. There are lots of things I want to do, I'd love to do a marathon of some sort, but hopefully next Spring when I've gotten more of the weight off. I want to do some jogging, but now while I'm still bigger, I want to be at a safe weight to do that and not mess up my knees or anything.

Morning everyone. Just back in from the gym, it was good to get back since I've skipped the past two days, the first was planned and yesterday I just overslept. I had the place to myself except for this one guy who was lifting extreme weights and was making very odd moaning sounds. I trying so hard not to crack up, but the dude could have beat the snot out of me so I sealed my lips, lol.
Need to take the dog out and then fix some breakfast, I'm always starving after the gym. I've never figured out if I should eat before the gym or after. Anyone know anything about that? |

Seth I think it depends on what kind of workout you do and IF your stomach can handle eating before a workout.
Yeah I think the sealed lips was the way to go, muscle men usually are very vane, pun intended. Have a great day! |

Yeah I don't really care to workout with a ton of people so I get up in the middle of the night and go, lol. Crazy I know, but it works for me.
I suppose my goals are now just ten pound losses. I want to get down to 180lbs and then see how my body looks. I really want a twenty pound buffer between me and 200lbs so when I do start to go into maintaining mode, that I don't gain too much, plus I want to start getting serious about lifting and building muscle and I know it weighs more than fat so I don't want to regain thirty pounds or anything like that. I want to just stay in ONEderland forever, it's so nice here, lol. |

Good morning Seth!! I don't blame you about sealing your lips LOL! I've heard it's best to eat after a workout so your metabolism is up when you do eat, but who knows really? I sure don't :P hahaha! Hope you have a great day!

Good ideas on the goals. Building muscles is a great goal. They will help you burn more cal.s, firm you up, and also ...they look good

I just want to thank you so much for writing a journal. I so need to do one right now, if not to just read back and keep myself motivated.
I am so eager to reach my goals too, I know I will one day. I have the same problem at the gym, I never eat before I go, I tend to go first thing on a morning too. I come home not only am I hungry I am so tired I could just climb back into bed, as soon as I have had my mushroom, bacon and cheese omelette, or bacon, fried eggs, tinned tomatoes, fried mushrooms I feel great, I go all day without napping. I so havent been to the gym since Sunday last week, I have just come of Night shift and found it hard to get there, I wanted to go today, this morning hubby and myself went out, we needed some things, and by the time we got home it was too late as hubby had to get ready for work, I was going to go myself but my daughter called over with her son...i love my grandson and enjoy his company. So never got there today. ![]() I am hoping to get there tomorrow after hubby goes off to work, we dont have time in the morning to go first thing, but hoping to get there around 3ish. anyways..this is your Journal and your Journey..enough about me!! I did say I so need my own journal, I think i have another 2 weeks or so before the board allows me to have one. Keep up the good work. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by michellew67; 07-18-2011 at 02:20 PM.. |
