Today I pushed it even harder at the gym. Six miles on the elliptical, 700 something cals burnt from that. Yeesh! I am tired between that and the weights and the two miles on the tread. I am in well need of a hearty dinner.

Kitty, I am like 5'8, maybe 5'9 if I stretch, lol.

rice_paddie, thanks for reading over the journey. I am really glad that I can motivate you! I look forward to seeing where this road takes you!

Up early cause yet again I have to make a trip to the store. Things are going to be tight this week money-wise, but hopefully I can rely on some of the food that I've stockpiled. I always try to build it up so if I have a tight week I can make it through. Of course the only thing you can't buy in advance is most of what I'm eating now, salad mix and chicken. I usually just buy beef to store back. I'm trying to do less red meat for a little while because I do eat an awful lot of it and it's never a bad thing to switch to more white meats. Oh well, I will survive it!

I'm really glad it's Friday, looking forward to getting some extra rest this weekend and just relaxing. I'm also still hoping for some good number on Sunday when I weigh in "officially".

Eggs and canned tuna....

I get the salad mixes in the plastic boxes too now. They have more in there than it looks like! Endless salads! ...and they last longer (don't get icky nearly as fast as the bags do)

Have a great day!

No tuna for me, lol. Can't stand the stuff, wish I could though since it's very helpful for folks on LC.

I'm going to have to look for the salad mix in the plastic boxes. I don't think I've seen them. I just always get the shredded lettuce in the bag.

Wow - you're really going all out at the gym! I wish I could be as motivated as you when it comes to exercise. It's all I can do to get my butt out on my bike at lunch time and then come home and do my workout video at night. I know some people really love to exercise but I just find it to be a chore. Have a great day, Seth!

I love it when I'm done with it, but it's still a chore for me to be honest. I just force myself to do it. I go in spurts where I work harder and right now I'm in one of those. Give me a week or so and I won't be doing as much. I still make myself go because I don't want to slack off because I know myself well enough to know I'll quit altogether if I allow it, but I don't always work out as hard.

Good Morning Seth, hope u come across some good deals while shopping, to hold u over. Here in FL I can get a bag of lettuce for $.99 which is about 2-3 servings (depending on what size salad I make) and chicken breast by the bag for $5 (about 3-4 meals with that).

TGIF, I won't be getting much rest though. Lots of Back 2 School events to attend with my nephews and niece. Have a great weekend and relaxation.

I am going to have to look for that. I've got some chicken baking in the oven right now, can't wait til it's done. I am hungry!

Well I didn't do as much exercise today at the gym as I did yesterday, guess I was tired. I did three miles on the elliptical and four miles on the treadmill. I figure it's all good, but I was too wiped out for anything else on the elliptical so I quit at three and tried to balance it out with the walking an extra two miles.

I do both Misty, lots of cardio and smaller amounts of strength training. I just use the weight machines, 20 reps on each and move my weights up once a week. I'm not looking to become muscle man, just trying to tone and firm the extra skin from all the weight loss. I do way more cardio than anything.

This is the one I get, but I get mine at a Giant Eagle...probably the same thing! It seems to last forever...lots in there and doesn't go bad for a long time! You get your money's worth! I saw you have a Super Walmart near you.

195lbs on the scales! I am so happy to see a different number! I used a "regular" scale instead of the digital one because that one jumps all over the place and I just need to get a new one. I drug the old scale out of the closet and I trust it's readings for the most part. I think 195lbs is about what I should weigh. The digital scale said 190lbs and I just think an eight pound loss in a week at my current size is a bit far fetched. It would be nice, but I don't think so. One of these days when I have some extra cash I'll get a new scale that hopefully works, but until then I will just use the old one from the bathroom closet. I hadn't weighed on it in years and when I got on it this morning I noticed it only went up to 280lbs so at my heaviest it wouldn't have even weighed me. Definatly an eye opener for sure.

I am very thrilled with a three pound loss after all the hard work this week. I'm going to continue to do the cal/carb thing for at least a few more weeks and then just have a normal LC week and not worry about the calories, just for a little break. I do feel at this point it's important to count the calories as well as the carbs, but it's also very hard and I don't feel as full throughout the day as I did when just eating low carb. I mean I don't feel like I'm starving or anything, but what I'm eating is not sustaining me until my next meal as well as it did when I ate unlimited portions of meat or LC things and only was concerned with a carb count.

It's a vanity thing for sure, but I would just love to put a big ten pound gap in between me and the big 200 so I can feel a little more relaxed. Right now my biggest fear is how easy it would be to slip and move right out of ONEderland and I would rather put a little distance between us.

WOE: a little of this plan, a little of that plan...

You know - I'm not sure what the deal with digital scales is because I sometimes have issues with mine. The number will just seem really off so I try and combat the problem by weighing myself 3 times in a row and if I get the same number all 3 times than that's the number I go with.

I try to watch my calories too. I know that some people don't but it just seems to be too good to be true to be able to eat whatever LC foods I want and still lose weight. I know it works for some people but I just don't see how it could work for me (maybe I'm just too paranoid) so I try to keep my calories between 1200-1500 a day. What's your calorie range (if you don't mind me asking)?

According to the ************ app, I am allowed 1900 calories a day. I usually burn up at least half that number at the gym so I consume more if allowed.

Pushed the elliptical at the gym today, six miles on it, eight hundred calories burnt, fifty five minutes on the thing. Whew! I didn't walk, just did weights afterward and was happy with that.

I think I'm starting to get a little upset about people in my life apparently saying that they're "worried" about me because I'm getting too thin. I mean I appreciate the concern, but I am far from skinny by any means. I do hide the remaining weight I need to lose very well with tight underclothes and such so I can understand why they think I am already thin enough, but of course it's not like I'm going to whip out the fat and say, here look at this!

Put me in a funk today so I only did two miles on the tread and three on the elliptical, which is shorter than I normally do.

Laura, I can see from your picture that you look great! I just do get tired of people all the time saying I needed to lose weight and now that I am, they're telling me to put some back on. It's just not that easy to have a bite of this and that without major problems happening.

On the plus side, a co-worker has decided to try and become more healthy so she wants to try and do an LC diet. I get to plan all her meals. This sadly make me very happy to have control like that, lol. I was on cloud nine yesterday while planning out her menu for the week. She has tried several diets before and I hope she sticks with this one, not sure she has the will power, but it would be nice to have someone at work LCing with me.
