Down another 2 lbs!!! Woot-woot!!! Even after drinking beer and wine last night. I am in disbelief, but I'll take it. So, today is a down day. I am having my vegaone protein shake now, because I'm hungry. Lunch will be a nice salad. Not sure what dinner will be, but I'm not really worried about. For the first time since I had the lapband surgery; I don't feel consumed or preoccupied with food. It's a weird and strange feeling. I felt this way for the first 2-3 weeks after I had the surgery. I could care less about food, then I started getting hungry and that feeling bothered me because the physical pain of hunger truly hurt. I would do anything to not feel that feeling again. I think I was just mentally picturing my stomach eating itself. So, I started eating more and more to the point where I was eating anything that tasted good and I could eat easily...mashed potatoes, ice cream, cream soups...you name it. I lost weight eating this way for 2 months...then, nothing not even an ounce for over 30 days. So, I stopped the madness and went back to my lapband book and noticed that I wasn't doing the main rule to success. Chew my food thoroughly and wait 30 seconds before taking another bite. Once I started doing that; a miracle happened. I was satisfied after 1/2 a cup of food most days at meal time. If I wanted more in a hour that was fine as long as I was truly hungry. That is when I stumbled across the IE threads that you ladies turned me onto. Then a light bulb lit...that is how I should eat. I hope that I can continue to be successful with the effortless JUDDD WOE. It's so easy for me because I allow myself wine and beer on ud's

You should get a blender bottle with the little whisk in it. also the brand of protein will depend on how well it mixes.

you said it was a vegan protein shake? that may be why it wasn't as good?!

Hi Deb!
Hi Lexi!
I typically like the vegaprotein shake...but will use a blender from now on. It's very good but green and a bit slimy looking. lol!

So, the scale is bouncing around again...I know this about myself that I get discouraged if it doesn't continually go down and allow that to affect the way I eat the day I do not see a loss. I continually punish myself with less food if I gain...and more food when I lose. This is just madness. I need to just push myself to continue with my plan. So, I decided to take another look at the bouncing scale:

July 1st- 244 (DD)
July 4th- 247 (UD)
July 6th- 246.5 (UD)

I will weigh after DDs and only if there is no wine involved. I can't take the bounciness of weighing everyday. I know myself and will quickly abandon it. Especially when I am not able to eat 2200 calories without feeling miserable. I love the rotations, but not sure if I can really call it JUDDD. I struggle with trying to make every WOE perfect, but always fall short Oh, well, guess we have to really make it our own. I am perfectly happy with JUDDD as long as I don't count calories

Thanks Deb

That is very encouraging since you are definitely my heroine

So, having said that my weekend didn't shape up too badly. I am on regular JUDDD rotations...again, I do not calorie count at this point. I just try to hold off from eating as long as possible. This is not hard for me at this point since my lapband and my brain are not in the mood for food in the morning. However, when lunch time comes around; I do like my salad with protein.

Yesterday's menu looked like this (UD):
2:30pm I had a mushroom omelette with cheddar cheese and salsa (I shared with my 4 yr old so probably ate 1/2)
Dinner: 3 meatballs in a chicken broth soup with vegetables and 2 corn tortillas with avocado. 1/2 pint of ben and jerry's greek yogurt cherry garcia (yum!) and a chobani yogurt that my son decided he didn't want to eat. I did over eat last night and will not buy any more frozen yogurt. I just cannot control myself right now. So, will opt for the fruit bars/chobani yogurt at night if I need something sweet.

I'll calculate the calories at or around 1500. I will plug in the numbers now to see how close I am to what I think I had

I'm going to continue to weigh daily so I can see trends and I will start tracking my calories. I am adding a 30 day challenge for lunges and squats:
Monday: 20 lunges, 10 sec squats (2 sets)

Weight:
July 1st- 244 (DD)
July 4th- 247 (UD)
July 6th- 246.5 (UD)
July 7th-DNW (DD)
July 8th -245.6 (UD)

I can see progress here and will continue to track for my journey. I will also keep my calories where they need to be. I still need to buy the MCT oil. I think I'll order online today to help me out.

Thanks Deb!

Today I'm hungry! So, I may end up having a similar day like yesterday. So far I'm at 400 calories for a DD. I'm so tempted to glue or staple my mouth shut, but will go ahead and have some soup. My son's pancakes look so good, but I have had trouble with eating stuff today...my lapband is super tight today.

I am having the best DD ever...Note to self, if I struggle with a DD in the future review my menu for yesterday's UD which was a typical loading style day when I did HCG...Loads of fat and protein. I feel amazing!

My UD is going wonderfully. I'm right at 2000 calories and satisfied. I have enough for a glass of wine if I want. I had such a wonderful time with my girlfriends for breakfast this morning and took the boys to a movie this afternoon. NSV: I fit comfortably in the theater seat! Woohoo!
