Hi loves...back to 246 and bouncing around as my body seems to like the 250's. Will be so glad when I'm out and onto new virgin weight. I've been exercising 2-3 days per week for 30 minutes. Which is a change and I'm drinking less beer so that's good! I'm drinking a very nasty protein shake at the moment. I think i'll grab a v8 instead. I cannot choke this down any longer. A friend of mine at work is getting gastric bypass which really has me motivated. I don't want her to pass me up
Also, I ran/walked my first 5K a few weeks ago. Things are going great!

Thanks Lexi! I am going to check on your progress. You still an exercise warrior. My neighborhood just opened a new Zumba studio. They have free Sundays to try Zumba for my community...I'm making my family go with me to experience the awesomeness that is Zumba.

Yes, I did go to a Zumba class on Sunday. Unfortunately, I think I hurt my "zumba" lol...I'm a tad sore, but a good type of sore. Will get to the gym tomorrow.

Failed with getting to the gym and my wine/beer intake has increased due to end of the quarter for a sales person

I'm still bouncing around and getting a bit frustrated with it, but I am not really sinking into my new lifestyle. I need to get a hold of this now and forever or I am going to lose this battle.

Tomorrow my company is conducting a virtual olympics for the sales people...should be a lot of fun in the sun.

Still bouncing around the same weight right now. Will have an appointment with TR tomorrow to officially weigh for 3 weeks. I go by their scale not my own

Hi my friends...no loss, but no gain either. I'm exactly the same. I will count that as a win for me and take my doctor's advice. She said to try Atkin's for a few days to jump start my weight loss. She says that is works miracles for her patients who have not lost for a few weeks. Also, she said that I'm choosing the wrong snacks. Maybe it's true...I really am a carb-o-holic

I am taking this news with great strides. I have come a long way and will not let anything deter my progress. I may go back and read some of my old journal when I was definitely doing the lc way of life. I could use some great ideas for foods. I remember I used to make these amazing tuna patties on the stove top for dinner.

My biggest obstacle is leaving too many things in my life unplanned...

Hmmm just trying atkins for a few days? I've thought of doing that sometimes but afraid once i eat carbs again the weight would just come back on ?!?

I know...that's what I thought too, but it's actually doctor's orders...heehee

So, we shall see. So far have been fairly low on carbs and yesterday did very well. I woke up this morning down a few lbs. I also had wine. Doctor said one glass of red per night. It's not mandatory but studies have shown that 1 glass of red wine a day will not harm weight loss.

Today I've had a salad with chicken and coffee with cream. I will have the rest of my salad for supper. I'm really trying to follow doctors orders with my eating. It's going to be difficult for me to start eating in the morning again.

i need to practice moderation with my drinking too!

you're making me consider going lower on carbs too now lol. but this time not allowing it to be a free for all calorie wise either. i had great success with atkins in 2008-2009 but gained it all back. i never did calorie count though.

Hello Lexi!!!

So, I had two glassed of red wine last night and that was all. I think I may skip tonight. I started eating in the morning after having a very light supper last night. Today's menu:

B: Chobani yogurt
S: Roasted almonds and cashews
L: Small salad with Ranch/boiled egg/bacon/2 green olives/sunflower seeds/two cherry tomatoes
S:Roasted almonds and cashews
D: Small salad with jalapeno ranch

Very satisfied and not hungry...yeah!

I'll plug in the food and see how the carb count looks and will improve tomorrow...

I did rather well...the yogurt was my allotment for carbs though so I'll need to find another breakfast item that I like. Total carbs 41 and under 1200 calories. If I continue I should be able to lose 2 lbs per week.

I'm back...doing well with my eating for the most part. However, lately I have been hungrier. My doctor said I can snack all day on veggies and protein. She actually recommended breaking up my meals since I get full so quickly. Most books and blogs for those with lapbands are told to eat three times a day...no more no less and no snacking. My doctor said that is rubbish. She said eat 1/2 a cup of food at a time and eat slowly. I am hoping this is the secret sauce for me. My second 5k is on Saturday. I'm a bit nervous since I've not been to the gym. There's no time like tomorrow
