Time to change my siggy. I'm down to 262 this morning. I cannot believe how quickly I am losing weight. I go in next Tuesday for my next adjustment. I need to keep better records of my weight loss. I've just been so busy. I went to a conference on Sunday. I was able to eat a lot more than usual. I just grazed and ate my protein bars and cashews when i found myself hungry. I also drank some wine and a margarita. I was shocked I didn't get trashed...but it's all going so well. I nibbled and can definitely tell a difference in my hunger. Today's menu:

B-Protein shake
L-Protein bar ?? Not sure yet. I may try to get some chicken instead.
D-Soup and some chicken/salad with chicken/Nothing planned

Take care!

I don't know about melting, but the scale is definitely going down without much effort

I ended up having chicken for lunch. It was not baked, but so little that i'm not too worried about it. That's what happens when i don't plan ahead. Dinner will be a protein bar or atkins meal. I can only eat 1/2 of one so it's all good.

Have a great day my friends!

Lol-at Deb!

I couldn't either until around a month ago. Eating is definitely an interesting thing and I really try to plan when I eat, because I am full so quickly. Lol! I make a date with my food.

Good morning! I decided not to weigh every day because it's too heart wrenching when the scale doesn't go down everyday.
So, I guess I will leave my weigh in day to Wednesdays. However, I definitely reserve the right to peek every now and then
I'm working from home today due to little one's illness. He's not feeling well. My brother is coming back to stay with me this afternoon. I'm so excited and not because he's a bit of a messy person. Oh well, I need the help this month
Menu plan today so I've got a guideline:
B-Protein shake
L-Bean soup
D-Atkin's meal/Roast beef not sure yet.

Talk to y'all later!

I so agree with you Jen on the scale.. it makes or breaks my day sometimes.. I got me a fancy new one though, that shows when my fat goes down as my muscle goes up. EVEN when I stay the same or gain on the scale. I do think once or twice a week is enough, although it is a habit.

Glad your brother is coming to help you! Hope your little one gets well soon, and don't YOU go getting sick!

What has really helped for me was having an "official" weigh in day each week and only recording/tracking my weight on that day. Mine is usually Friday, although i usually step on the scale 4-5 days per week.

thats really nice you can count on your family

Deb-what type of scale do you have? I may need to look at one of those. What exercise are you doing these days?

Lexi-I think that's an excellent idea to officially weigh in on one day per week. I saw the scale jump up two pounds today. I know that cannot be right...lol I eat so little, but did have a small amount of ice cream last night. Plus, I'm not really exercising. I need to I know I need to but my life has been a bit chaotic lately. I'm surprised I went through the surgery...alas crazy life equals crazy results.

I got myself an Escali if you google them they are nice scales. PLUS! It weighed me 1.6 pounds less than my old one.. Love it!...

Actually I found that it is correct when I finally stepped on my DR scale.. they match.

I am only doing my little bicycle for now, when it gets warmer I am going to start swimming again and probably lifting some light weights. We shall see!

I started this post and then it was randomly erased...grrrr!!!

So, I've been doing well with the new banded life. I have learned some interesting things along the way. I am down to 259.8 this morning. That is a new low for me...I cannot remember the last time I was in the 250's. So yeah for me. Also, on Tuesday I went in for my second fill/adjustment.
I immediately felt nauseated after getting into my car. That should have been a warning sign to me. When I got to work I could not drink anything...not even water. This was another alarming event. I threw up probably 10 times...I was miserable until I went back so they could take some fluid out. I have a 15 cc band and am now at 7.4. I was 8 ccs, but could not swallow my own saliva. I am back to eating soft foods now and feeling wonderful. I just have to make sure to chew chew chew and slow down. I'm loving the weight loss, but wish my mind was accustomed to my new life. I still have the brain of a food addict. I want to eat everything. I am grateful for the band because I know it is restricting me. Now I just need to get control of my food addiction.
All is well, just busy at work and still not exercising. I promised myself to bring my clothes on Monday. I have a gym here and am determined to get there next week. I need motivation to exercise. Sigh!

Thanks for the kind words ladies!

I have been extremely busy at work trying to make things happen. I'm losing around 1.2 lbs per week. Which I don't think is terrible. But, I feel like I could have done that myself. My mid level doctor provided me some guidance yesterday after my third adjustment. She said that I would not experience the "extreme" weight loss in the first 2 months. It generally starts to really go down when I am in the "Green" zone. That means I am not hungry and eat 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of food and am satisfied for 4-5 hours. I'm eating about 1 1/2 cups and hungry every 2-3 hours. So, I'm a ways off
My band holds 15 cc's and I'm at 8 cc's now. The mid-level also said that is typically where the people feel like they are in their green zone. We shall see. I'm going to stay on liquids for as long as I can this time and not move to solid/mushy food for a few days. I also have a daily juice bar close to me that I can go to during lunch. Meals today and for as long as I can stand it:

B-Protein shake/coffee
L-Daily juice veggie style
D-Protein shake

Well, I completed 8 days of liquids. My current weight is 253.4. So time to change the siggy again. I am now on to mushy foods and protein first. I am finally in that green zone my mid level talked to me about. I eat 1/2 cup of food and am fool for longer than 4 hours. I rarely eat breakfast and tend to grab a little snack at 1 or 2pm in the afternoon. My meals are really small. It's shocking really. I had three bites of ground beef steak with gravy and five small bites of mashed potatoes and gravy. Plus one glass of wine. I was done and satisfied the entire night. Lunch yesterday was 1/2 a bag of baked cheetos. I know it's not healthy but I didn't have time to go get something for lunch. Today will be a similar situation. I have no time to run out and grab a juice from the Juicebar. So, I'll probably grab some yogurt out of the refrigerator. Thank goodness for free snacks. It's saved me so many times since I started working here. Have a great day and happy Friday Eve

A little frustrated this morning...I've been making bad choices and am back to 255. I have been drinking and not eating very much. But when I do eat it's not good for me. I go for sweets and fatty foods. Time to get my stuff together and remember. The band is a tool not a miracle worker. 80% of this journey is me!
