Thanks!! Just had an awesome lunch. I finished a sandwich I had in the refrigerator and then a sweet tooth attacked. I walked down to the local coffee shop and bought a chocolate chip cookie. I took a few bites and put it away. There's a lot to be said since I would never have put a chocolate chip cookie away in the past. That would be cookie abuse

So happy with my choices lately...my posh lunch was around 600 calories. I plan to spend the rest of my calories for today on a nice big salad or fruit of the vine

I'm trying not to drink during the week due to the way it makes me feel in the morning while walking...no other reasoning than that.

Day 1 walking home from work. I'll report later to let you know that I made it

Hey Jen...love to hear your positive posts over here. How long are your walks in the morning? I'm considering adding in a.m. walks.

Have a great night!

Hi Friends...I know it's late, but wanted you to know that I DID IT!

So, I walked 2.4 miles this morning and another 2.4 this afternoon.

Jayce-It takes me around an hour to walk in the morning. Kinda slow because old ladies pass me in the morning, but I dont mind

Thanks Deb, Shari and Lexi! I slept like a baby last night

Sleep problem is over! Lol

There were a few hills that made the walk definitely more difficult in the afternoon than the morning. But, I kept a good outlook and finished strong! The weather cooperated nicely. The sun was hidden behind the clouds and there was a nice breeze. Yeah

I woke up this morning invigorated. It has been so long since I felt this great! I love how it makes my soul feel. Have a great day my friends

That is definitely amazing! I am quite impressed with all those miles.

I hope you are having a fantastic Thursday!

BTW, what is your opinion of Austin? My bf really wants to retire in TX once he's done with his Coast Guard stint.

Hey Jayce!

Thursday is amazing. The sun is brilliant and my office is freezing. These are days i wish I had a window or an outdoor job

My opinion of Austin is it's a great place to raise a family. It is safe and still has a small town feel. Smart, rich, hippy, student types all about Austin. It does get HOT in the summer though and the traffic sucks! I mean that it sucks! There are spotty areas around that have some crime, but i feel very safe Plus, the music scene is great. Have you been to Austin. If not, come in the spring or fall because the summers are terrible in my opinion It's definitely growing and the housing market is booming. Great jobs in the tech industry...I know this because that's what I do. Keep Austin Weird Baybay! lol

One more thing Jayce....Austin is very liberal. However, the suburbs tend to be more conservative. Either way, you will love Austin

If I had to live anywhere in TX it would be Austin. I won't live anywhere else in the state

Happy Friday!! I didn't walk home from work yesterday due to a 5pm appt for DD therapy session. So, I will definitely do it today. My 3 yr old did not go to bed until after 1am so I am a bit tired this morning. We ended up sleeping on the floor because DH crashed in my already "full" bed. My 10 yr old son sleeps with me as does my 3 yr old. DH has always...i mean always preferred the couch. He has bad PTSD so I have learned my lesson to not sleep with him. I guess I compensated by adding more males to my bed
I hope you each have a great weekend! I'm certain I will check in and say hi because this journal and posting is addictive

Oh wow...you were up pretty late! Sounds like a lot of people were in that bed...LOL!

I hope you have a GREAT Friday, Jen!

ETA: Thank you for answering my question re: Austin! I appreciate it. I will pass on the info. I've never visited there -- only been to TX once, and that was a long time ago (like when I was in the 7th grade). I went to a huge water park & baseball game at the Ballpark in Arlington...we also went to the Stockyards. I remember having the BEST Mexican food ever at some place called Pancho's, I think. I've never had sopapillas that tasted like that anywhere else! It gets pretty gross/hot here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and it was also pretty hot & humid when I lived in Georgia near Atlanta. I am not crazy about the heat, but I REALLY hate bad winters (which I experienced living in PA/OH -- yes, I've lived all over).

Hello my lovelies! I am having an awesome night with my men! Glorious men...i've had a few glasses of wine so I'm definitely in good spirits. Good night!

Btw, I walked my ass from my job in 101 degrees...ran out of water and had energy to clean and grab some food. Had 1 slice of pizza, a lovely salad, and a bean and cheese taco on corn tortilla. Feeling really good and full

I love you guys!

Good morning!! and Happy Monday!!

The kids are off to school this morning. They certainly enjoyed their summer break and were ready to get back

Today is the official day to see who won the biggest loser challenge! I'm super excited and hope that it is me

I am up from Wednesday's weigh in but definitely down 6 lbs for my final weigh in results for the biggest loser challenge at work. Either way I am so happy that I participated in the challenge. I don't like to lose so hopefully I did myself proud

I had one of my coworkers look at the scale as a witness for me. In my twenty's I would've been embarrassed...amazing how you stop caring certain things as you grow older and wiser. I love that I am becoming more comfortable in my own skin these days.

I am still walking to work and finding ways to walk during lunch and after work I am going to try to walk home 4 out of 5 days this week. I did it twice last week. So, if I at least do 2 times I'm happy

I had a great weekend...had a bit of a splurge on Saturday, but reigned it in on Sunday. I don't even know how many calories I had on Saturday...probably over 3000! Sunday was around 900. I plan on today and Tues to be 1300 or less. I love that I can have days like Saturday and know how to correct it with ease

I did enjoy Saturday, but in the back of my head knew that I could get back on track easily....so different from the days of thinking "Oh well, might as well enjoy Sunday too...and so on and so on."

I enjoyed Sunday as well and ate my favorite foods, just no cocktails and stopped eating within my window since I still practice IF. Honestly, the cocktails make me really hungry and snackie. I'm planning to have a treat tomorrow in honor of completing the weight loss challenge. It's going to be a nutella frappe from a local coffee shop down the street from where I work. Here are the choices ladies..you pick and I will enjoy

Chocolate peanut butter frappe, frozen smores, or white chocolate strawberry frappe

Cannot wait for this delish treat!

Hi Lexi! I had a wonderful weekend!

The results are in for the weight loss challenge at work. I didn't win. But that's okay!

I was so close! The lady that won lost 3.79% and I lost 3.77%

Super super close
