Proud of you for getting up and walking even after wine!

That is a step forward for sure. Drink water today.. I had to chuckle at your taking the kids with mommy to get wine. When my boys were young, I did the same thing... (wonder why we needed wine)

Hang in there and all this walking is going to pay off!!

Thanks my awesome ladies! I found this really great article that I emailed to my sweetie:

Telling your honey, 'it

I think it had some really great content and stuff to remind myself about...

Back to work I go!

Good morning! Week 4 complete since I started walking to work. I have decided starting today to get another mile in during lunch. That should get me used to the heat and ease into walking home from work next week. I am determined to walk home from work 2 out of 5 days next week. Wish me luck!! It is not easy hauling my body around. I still have sore feet and stiffness. I am hoping will go away as my body gets smaller.

Have an awesome Friday friends! XOXOXO

Hello Good Morning Everybody!! Happy Monday!!

Today was great! I felt super strong as I walked this morning. I can feel my muscles tighten and anxious to walk each morning. I nearly jump out of bed each morning to get started each morning.

Instead of feeling sluggish during the weekend I was able to chase after my three year old much more and pick up after him. Btw, that is a full time job to prevent my home from becoming an uncontrollable junk pile.

I also measured and lost 2 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my hips which I am super excited about. The last time I measured was 3 weeks ago. Wow, what a difference.

Everything else is going great. My calories were a little higher this weekend but definitely got in good foods with yummy tasting foods.

Great job Jen! You are an exercise fanatic I have a 4 year old girl so I know how exhausting they are! I'm 41 though and she's my 3rd. My other children are 14 (DS) and 10 (DD). Sometimes I get so tired I could cry! It's all good though - she's the light of my life

Thanks Gracie!! I have a 15 yr old girl, 10 yr old boy, and 3 yr old boy!!

Boy is life tough for me

The 15 yr old usually helps out, but she's a bit overrun this summer. Lol!!

Being an exercise fanatic is much better to me. Little by little I am healing my body with much needed movement

Okay, i chickened out of walking home from work yesterday. I know that I cannot do it on Thursday; so I can do it today and Friday or Wed and Fri. I know I can do it...just need to decide when LOL!

So, the walk this morning was brilliant! I really enjoy the walks each morning. Part of me doesn't want it to ever end. However, I may be looking at a change in jobs soon and will have to figure out how to make it work.

Wow, that's fantastic!! You're so motivating. I agree with Deb, in no time you'll be so much smaller from walking not just from the pounds lost but inches too.

about going wine shopping. I sooo understand needing this relaxer sometimes.

Did someone say WINE??!! LOL!!

Tomorrow is Wine Day

I love Wednesday's....<dreaming of a big glass of Pinot Grigio>

Shari, I was motivated by you and Deb and so many more people on this bulletin board. I feel my bum shrinking...also, I feel lighter on my feet. It's so encouraging when you know that you muscles are getting stronger and you can feel them

Love you Shari! You are doing great. You say it best...Whatever works!

Agreed!

That is my promise to myself...to never stop exercising. Do you find that you cannot go to sleep sometimes?

I have so much energy at night that I have trouble sleeping sometimes...just wondered if that ever happened/happens to you...

Here's to firmer bums!!!!

Lately, I've had trouble sleeping...don't understand that at all! I used to sleep very deeply...this week...not so much!

Thanks, Gracie for your encouragement. I will take all I can get.

Again...trouble sleeping and waking up before the alarm clock...who is this person??!

DH made my favorite deliciousness last night...Meatloaf! I ate until I was satisfied. Unfortunately, my body said TOO MUCH!! LOL! So, I took a short walk around the house and kept myself busy to help things settle. Now I understand why my parents like to walk after a big meal. I used to wonder why? All I wanted to do was sit on my butt and watch TV after a big meal, but walking does help a full uncomfortable belly not so uncomfortable.

My brother should be back in Austin today to spend the weekend with my DD and go to San Antonio with her. They are going to San Japan which is an anime convention.

As for weight...I'm losing a bit slower than I would like, but hey, I'm still losing and do not feel deprived. I took a look at my online calories tracker and it seems like my body really likes calories cycling. The best losses that I've had have been when I have a low day followed by mid followed by high. I am only analyzing data and by no means want to make my body do anything different at this point. My body chooses what I need as far as fuel. Today, I feel very full still from last night's deliciousness. Plan today is to feed my body good veggies and fruit....AKA WINE

Wine Wednesday, right? You are doing great - don't worry about the scale. Especially since you are exercising, the scale will not tell the truth. Maybe only weigh yourself once a week or once a month? Measuring would probably be best for you. I'm sure you are losing inches!

Good morning Gracie!! I'm only weighing once a week right now. I do measure and it's nice to see the inches lost. I think I may move the weighing to every two weeks or per month. Good idea!!

Great idea on the weighing in jen! It can be discouraging to know how well you are doing, but not showing up on the scale. Measuring is so much more accurate! You keep up the great work Jen!

Thanks for the encouragement Vilya and Deb!!

I made an awesome iced coffee this morning...so delish! The walk was amazing this morning. I saw a very elusive creature called an armadillo. It sort of hissed at me when I spoke to it. Such an interesting animal. If you don't know what they are you should google and see a picture. I also saw the beautiful ducks and bats. I love the walk and thinking about taking advantage of waking up early to start an earlier walk.
