You're both very beautiful women. It's interesting how completely subjective and internal FEELING beautiful is. While there may be a handful of people in this world who are so physically stunning that no matter what they do or say, they still draw our eyes, for almost all of us, people see what we feel about ourselves. If we believe that we are unworthy, we shrivel up, cast our eyes downward, and nobody looks at us. If we feel on top of the world, we look everyone in the eye and smile, and every sees a beautiful woman. That's the secret! What people see when they look at us is how we feel about ourselves!

Good morning! I started walking to work this morning. I made is about half way and then chose to ride the bus. There were so many excuses I could taken this morning. First, my alarm did not go off so I was running late. Second, there was a light drizzle. I could have convinced myself it was raining...but no, I did not fall victim to my excuses. I feel so great for doing it. I felt like I could do the whole thing! I took the bus mainly to not be too late. I am satisfied with what I did. Now, time to reign in my eating; I absolutely pigged out on Mexican food yesterday. Queso and chips are my weakness. My brother ordered it and i ended up eating most of it...Oh, well; not worried about it. I'm adding in exercise and taking care of myself. The rest will follow

Jen, i am so proud of you!.. You did fantastic and I am happy that you are happy with yourself.

Also, there is no good or bad food anymore Jen! If it just FOOD. When you take away that label, and just have what you choose and really want. eventually it will not have this meaning to you. It will be just food. That tastes good. You will eat enough to satisfy that good taste and then move forward. No being BAD. That thought will no longer exist.

ANYWAY!! rock on girl!! Keep up the movement and everything will fall into place!! So excited for you!!!

Thanks Deb and Shari! The best part about it is I'm not walking for weight loss. I am walking to strengthen my body and feel better. There were three really amazing hills that kicked my butt, challenging and motivating i must say! I didn't really practice IF on the weekend; but I added all the calories and still stayed in the 1700-2000 calorie range even without restricting myself. I didn't count over the weekend so I was a little nervous adding in the foods I ate. I need to just trust my body and know that this is the way to be healthy! I had some wine and some drinks...just really enjoyed my weekend Now, back to work

Good morning Deb! Thanks for the support. It is really strange because I truly think my mind was keeping me from exercise. I am glad to be back in it. I know that it's something I truly enjoy because as soon as my alarm clock went off; i was READY! LOL...

I had terrible dreams about my husband last night and the three year old peed in my bed. He's potty trained, but has some accidents in my bed. I know that there are many things that could have prevented me from doing what I needed to do this morning; but i have stopped sweating the small stuff.

So, this morning; I woke up at 6am and took a shower, got dressed in my athletic gear, and set out for my walk to work at 6:30. I did not take the bus this morning. It took me probably close to 45 minutes to do the entire walk; but I needed to stop at the bank and grab some coffee. It is amazing what I saw this morning. I walked through my neighborhood and dreamed about the houses that I saw. They are older homes and very beautiful. Then, i passed an amazing cavern where water was flowing. Finally, I was walking across the bridge for the river that separates my part of town from downtown and saw the amazing Austin Bats. They are called Mexican free-tailed bats. They were coming back from a night of hunting. They live under the Congress Avenue bridge...not the most pleasant smell, but seeing them zip around made my heart happy. I saw one that was injured on it's back. That is the closest I had ever come to seeing one of the bats up close. I hope the little guy is okay

That's really the extent of my adventure this morning. I feel invigorated and happy. What a world of difference exercise has done to my life already. It's weird because I am eager to see how much I've lost this week; but not really...not sure how to make sense out of that. With every diet I had to see a reward for my hard work...this is not hard so I do not need to be instantly gratified. I don't know how to explain it other that I am not deprived, I do not hate exercising, and I think the reason why is because I am not exercising to lose weight. I am adding exercise to compliment my lifestyle because I want to be fit for life.

Good morning all! I did it again I walked to my job...approx 2.4 miles. Today, my muscles were definitely fatigued and it took me a little longer. I saw the bats again flying back under the bridge. It is so fascinating to see them flitting around. I did my normal routine that I would do if I drove; I grabbed a cup of coffee and some water. I have excellent news from my last few job interviews:
1. I received an offer from an Sr. Inside Sales role with ******
2. I received feedback from my interview on Friday for an Enterprise Inside Sales role at ******* It was positive. They are not going to move forward with me immediately. However, the hiring managers like me so much that they are going to slot me on the "bench" which means when a req opens; the intention is to make me an offer
3. I am receiving LinkedIn messages from companies wanting me to come to them. It feels so good to be wanted. I've taken a lot of No's and it feels good to finally here some Yeses!

On another note; I am up 1.2 lbs from last week. However, I measured my three areas that I am tracking with my measuring tape and I am -2.5 inches from 7/8/13. I am stoked because inches are a lot more exciting to me than pounds. I expected the gain since I started exercising. My body is probably freaking out this first week. If this happened two years ago; I would have stopped exercising and started HHCG with 500 cals again. I am learning to be patient with my body.

Sorry dear!! I was meaning to post this morning early, then got late getting ready for work, and dove straight in!.. I am so happy you can walk to work, I sure wish I could!..

I do love my little peddler though, instead of sitting at my desk all day getting fatter, I can do something to reverse that! I have even perfected being able to peddle and write! .. whoo hooo....

So, I am noticing that I am getting hungrier from the exercise or perhaps because I stopped HHCG. Not sure, but i'm going to need to keep some healthy snacks at work. Mental note of course. Some key take aways from 1st week of getting back into exercise.
1. I love how I feel each morning when I finish and begin my walk
2. Midway is difficult but keep pushing through so I can see "my bats" @ congress bridge
3. Increased appetite (metabolism must be revving)
4. Take a bottle of water with me while I am walking because I pour out sweat
5. I sleep like a baby each night

Goals for next week:
1. Keep going...don't stop
2. Try a new route
3. Remember to drink water first, then coffee
4. Post motivational thoughts
5. Snuggle with kids and hubby every night

That's all I have for now

Hi Deb! I hate when i order something and don't like it. I think the only videos I really got into was Taebo. I haven't tried Walk Away the Pounds. What do you like about it. I've been looking for something to keep me active on the weekends as well. Walking to work is perfect for me because I have to go to work and it's only the mornings and not too hot yet. I would die in the afternoons. So, I'm happy at the moment. I know that I'm going to want to add more just not sure when and what to do. TOM hit with full force this morning and I really wanted to sleep in a little more, but thought to myself what is 30 minutes? 30 minutes is enough time to keep up the momentum I'm building. My body is still very sore from the walking each day. I am hoping the stiffness and pains go away, because I want to continue Have a great day!
